I don't get it personally. U hear everyone ranting how awful David Cameron is and all the Tories etc but they get the most seats! Who is voting for them???
From what I could understand he wants everyone to pay for the nhs. For me this would be very costly as I'm always in and out! Very disappointed, I thought labour would do it by miles

Anyway lol my bump is coming along nicely now :) small neat bump, 15 weeks now :)

I think it's because so many people don't bother voting cupcake very depressing to watch this morning.

Ds has completely rolled over once before but hasn't done it since, I put him on his mat this morning (after he slept very well!) went to let the dogs out and came in to find him on his tummy doing push ups! Can't believe I missed it!

Aawwww bless him Ducky ! maybe that's why he wasn't sleeping well? They say when they are about to come to a milestone they sleep bad, so maybe him rolling over might have been why? :)
It's good he slept as well! :D

See the other thing that concerns me about the Tories is my brother is classed as disabled because he has autism, what does it mean for him? Because I've not heard very good things so far he's not been in school for a year now because of them, because there was no funding for him and he got that anxious about school the school had to give up on him as they had no extra support for him. Tho he is off to a specialised school next month.
Hmm it gets me worried, very worried.

I don't post about politics, but I think it's important to remember that a lot of people who vote don't like to say who they are voting for. For every person complaining about one party there will be someone who holds the opposing view. The point of the parties is that they appeal to different types of people, left and right etc.

Way I see it is you have to take the votes for what they are. Just like the Scottish referendum, the majority win and whatever party that is you have to accept the majorities choice.

Totally agree Lulu and Ducky, it's a rubbish result. A lot of people who've voted Tory are going to end up getting screwed over by them as well. Ducky, you're so right about people not voting being part of the problem. Isn't it something like only 65% of people vote? It's ridiculous! Something needs to be done to make politics more accessible to everyone so more people understand why it's so important and what each party is about.

We went to the post natal clinic yesterday. DS hasn't quite got back up to birth weight yet but he is close.
Cupcake, did they say your uterus could rupture because you've had a c section? Is that why a vbac can be difficult? The midwife told me that they'd book me in for an elcs automatically if I got pg again because I'd likely have another massive baby and possibly other complications although there's not much chance of me getting pg again in the foreseeable future!
I'm l a bit sad that I probably won't ever experience giving birth vaginally, because I feel like it's a kind of rite of passage

Yep the figures were around there somewhere lil. And I think a lot of people who do vote, vote blindly. They don't research enough and find out how a particular party would benefit them, they just stick to the same party.

Glad he's almost there lil, did he lose weight due to the feeding issues? And never say never!!! I'm hoping that if I get pregnant again in the future I want my water birth! But I couldn't cope with going to 40 weeks so would book in for a section at 39 weeks and hope something happens before then I just worry about having surgery and the recovery!

The recovery really hasn't been too difficult. I felt back to normal a week after my section but know I've got to take it easy still, so I'm only going as far as into town (a ten minute bus ride) for the first time since the section today. And I'm leaving DS at home with DP because although I feel up to it, getting the pram in and off the bus would probably be a bad idea.
The main difficulty or had after having the section has been not being able to hoover and lift heavy things so having to rely on DP to do housework

Were you able to walk soon after? Did walking hurt? That was some of the things worrying me, I could barely walk with my episiotomy it was awful so can imagine a c sec being much worse!

Tbh I imagine an episiotomy to hurt more! I was still partly numb from the waist down for more than 24 hrs afterwards and bed bound with a catheter so couldn't walk anyway. When they did get me out of bed and walking a bit it was painful in my tummy and where my stitches were but I was given morphine for the first day then strong ibuprofen and paracetamol at regular intervals for a couple of weeks after, and really didn't find it that hard to walk after a couple of days. I went out for a short walk 6 days after the op and was fine.

The after pains of my uterus contracting was quite bad but manageable and only lasted a week or so.

Ducky I was up and walking straight after my c section with just paracetamol and strong prescription anti inflammatories. I was allowed home the next day so it just depends how you respond to being sliced and diced.

I found the stitches kept me hunched over for a while, on day five when they were removed it was much more comfortable as it wasn't pulling me forward and tight. Didn't find it painful at all but the consultants said I responded better than average to it.

Mostly I'm annoyed with how my stomach now goes in where the wound is so I either have to lose a lot more fat to get down to 20% body fat overall or I'm going to have to have surgery at some point to remove the fat. My stomach before was flat so it bothers me a lot, I've lost all my baby weight and then some already.

I agree lil about the slight disappointment of not getting a natural birth. I doubt I'll be able to have one now either, what with having a c section, obstetric cholestasis, polyhydramnios and a bigger than average baby at 37 weeks.

I walked to A&E two days after getting out of hospital and what bothered me more was the fat I was swelling from the waist down due to all the water retention. Once I got back in hospital for DD jaundice they gave me some stockings that sorted that out. My feet were huge.

That's not too bad then.

No no no noooooo please please don't give in and opt for an elcs! Consultants encourage a vbac as its much much safer than a 2nd csection!!! And also if uve had a vbac u are more like to have more vaginal births in the future and having a vbac makes it safer to carry more children.
If I have a csection id be warned about having more children as my uterus would be a lot weaker.
I have a big leaflet on vbac a from my consultant. My auntie pushed out a 11lb baby just had gas and air! It's possible to give birth to large babies and having a larger baby is no excuse from doctors to make u have a csection. It is so much safer to have a vbac. I was told 1 in 200 (or 2000 maybe?) uterus ruptures so it's not that common but they like to monitor just Incase of signs it might.
Lill I couldn't walk at all after my csection. I had 2 days of active labour and then a csection and it really hurt my muscles and made having a csection worse. I'm not going to lie I cried all day and night because of how much pain I was in. 24 hours after my csection, they made me get up and go take a shower on my own, I got to the shower and stood crying in pain. Just trying to sit up in bed hurt so so bad :( I was on morphine for 3 days whilst at hospital and begged them to let me take some home lol, I got these strong pain killers tho. I cried everyday through the amount of pain I was in :( I will never forget that! And I am not going through that again, I'm deffo trying my hardest for a vbac.

Same here Siarie, my feet, ankles, calves and thighs were massively swollen It was mainly due to all the drugs and antibiotics they'd filled me full of in drip form both just before and in the 48 hrs following the section. I was full of excess fluid and it had all pooled in the lower part of my body when I was bed bound.
My scar is actually really not too bad, it's very low down, where my knicker line would be anyway and where my tummy naturally goes in. I think I've been really lucky re baby weight too - my tummy isn't any fatter than it was before I was pg, just flabbier... I really hope it tones up and I won't need a tuck for the excess skin, but it's not too bad really. I was also thinner everywhere else than I had been before getting pg - more like a ten than a twelve - until this week, when I've quickly put weight back in due to eating the wrong things and not being able to exercise. Right now I've got pretty much the same figure as I did before I was pg, but want to try and get down to a size ten again. Must cut out sugar!!

X post with Cupcake. I had no idea a second c section was so bad apart from it destroying your chances of having a flat tummy again. I don't get why my midwife said that then... Although she does seem a bit c section crazy She delivered an antenatal class I went to and went on and on about interventions and sections and made it sound really unlikely that anyone would have a straightforward vaginal birth I also blame her for not realising how big DS was and that I had polyhydramnios Every appt I had I asked if the baby was unusually big because I was measuring over and she kept saying it was fine and then when I had the scan at the hospital a week before having DS and they told me he'd be ten pounds, when I told her she was like "Well we knew he was going to be a big baby didn't we?!"

Oh is the IV fluid why that happens? I had one during my induction as I was throwing up loads. cupcake that interesting to know, ideally I'd like to know what labour is like but I would hate to go through active labour only to end up having to have a section anyway if that makes sense.

This is my tummy at the moment, the scar/wound is really low down but before I had a small amount of fat on my stomach but was still flat. However now because the scar pulls in that tiny bit of fat looks really bad so that's why I'm going to have to get rid of it to be happy with the look with the scar basically or get an op. DH said I should get some advice on it and see what they can offer, I'll do that once I know what I'm dealing with (once it all stops changing).

Abs are getting closer together but still have a gap towards the bottom so that won't be helping.

I'm smaller than I was but my tummy is more flabby too would post a pic but I have tattoos over my stomach which could give me away!

Omg Siarie how are u that skinny after a csection?!? I want ur doctor lol!

I'm deffo not skinny especially now haha as u can see a small bump is formed I was thinking tho if I did end up being rushed off for a csection again for whatever reason might ask them to snip a bit of fat off not sure if they'd do it tho! Worth a try :p

Oh how cool Ducky! How did the tattoos look when pg? I've always wanted one going down the side of my stomach and hip but never got it because of future pregnancies Incase it stretched I wasn't sure if that would happen? Is urs still the same?

Tbh cupcake it looks the same now as it did before I got pg! I was surprised! When I was pg it just looked bigger

Mine goes from my belly button down quite low/onto me doodah and across almost to both my hips so it did get quite a bit stretched! I have stretch marks you can see in the gaps of the tattoo but you can't tell on te tattood skin.

I think that's probably why it shrank down so quickly. DD will be a month old tomorrow! Also I was really sick in the first trimester and that helped too.

I think I lost mine quickly because of stress! And a weeks worth of hospital food :,) horrible stuff!

And that is a neat bump!! Is it next week you find out the gender? So excited! I'm thinking it's a girl

And yep :) find out next Sunday! I can't wait!! I think a boy I do but only because I've had a boy so know I can carry boys have a boys name already and a girls name too :) I love both my choices, Oscar or Faith :) hehe!
Oh and hospital food.... I loved it the lamb hotpot was so good
