Yes that's me chops I'm on my holiday still but Im going to call my dr when I get home next week, think I will just hold off on bloods this month and wait til next cycle. Sounds like my dr has made a mistake on the form... Sounds like day 6 is a little too late. Thanks for the info.

Sorry to hear about your chemical pregnancy pinning I didn't mean it horribly by saying wait, I just cant bring myself to test early. You have to do whats right for you and its not saying that testing early is necessary bad, I've heard of a lot of people who test early and have healthy pregnancies. Fx you won't have to wait long for your bfp x

DizzyNorthernBird · 11/04/2015 21:46

Go night!!! I really hope you stick to your word and sit it out til Wednesday! I've got a good feeling about you though. Message on here in the morning if you need any encouragement though!

I've never actually had the chance to properly poas, which I suppose is a good thing. AF always gets me first. I bought a pack of 5 Amazon cheapie back in December and I still have 3 left. One was used after AF when I had a migraine with vomiting which made me wonder (but I knew deep down what the answer would be as AF had been and gone normally), the other was at the beginning of last month, again it was after AF but I needed to take a course of sudafed and just needed to be absolutely sure I wasn't Pg before taking them. I've not once got to the end of LP yet and actually wondered if I might be Sad

There seems to be pros and cons to testing early, like pinning says it shows if you'd had a chemical, which is devastating but on the other hand at least you know you're capable of actually conceiving. Not everyone would want to know though, like southy.

I've had a funny kinda day. A work colleague has had a baby, and my mate has had her baby shower (but I missed it because of work). I'm chuffed to bits for them both but after five months of trying I'm now starting to wonder when it will be my turn Confused. I usually manage to keep myself upbeat about it but although I didn't expect to get pg straight away at my age it thought it would have happened by now? Oh well, one more cycle and I can go and ask for tests I suppose.

pinningwobble · 11/04/2015 21:48

you are all right, I shall do my utmost to try not to test early this month :)

nightandthelight · 11/04/2015 21:56

Thanks Dizzy :) will most certainly call on the support of you lovely ladies if needed!

Please don't doubt that you will get your baby, you are still relatively early on in your journey (isn't the average six months?) But as you say you can soon get the ball rolling on checking that everything is ok :)

DizzyNorthernBird · 11/04/2015 22:17

Yes, I'll have to make sure I do. I'm a bit crap sometimes when it comes to organising appointments etc.

I'm being silly I know, five months isn't all that long and I've only confirmed ov once on one of my two charts, so at the moment it's not actually clear whether we've been dtd at the correct time. I'm just frustrated. Bah!

chopsface · 11/04/2015 22:21

I'm guessing you're over 35 dizzy it may take longer yes but at least they don't make older ladies wait 12 months for tests.

There's even babies being born on Casualty tonight..... Feeling a bit miserable because I just realised I had these symptoms last month and got af.... Sigh...

NicNak22 · 11/04/2015 22:26

Just dropping in to say hi on the new thread.

Met baby Niece today and was totally in love.

Still feeling ill but not sure it's anything to read in to, DH is away from early Monday morning for a week, AF is due Monday. Might test tomorrow so on the chance is + he is here??

Congrats to the new BFPs, very incouraging really hope you have wonderful pregnancies.

DizzyMerry · 11/04/2015 23:12

Stay strong night and pinning. You can both do this!!!

Got back from the birthday an hour ago and DD fell asleep straightaway as past her bedtime. DH is now out with his mates and I'm in bed with a sodding cold. Feeling very sorry for myself and couldn't eat much either Sad

pinningwobble · 11/04/2015 23:13

Hope you feel better soon dizzy x

Woolly84 · 11/04/2015 23:33

dizzynorthern you will get your BFP don't you worry! It's natural to think "when will it be my turn?", I was thinking the same today after I kept seeing bumps and babies everywhere when we were out today!!

niknak I hope you feel better soon, you too dizzym Flowers

missmrs how are you?

coffeenut · 12/04/2015 02:27

Urgh bumsnet bus keeps crashing on me and I really want to congratulate lovely sparkly! Please come over and share your news sparks, all the craziness has gone here with our shiny new thread(now never to return!)

coffeenut · 12/04/2015 05:25

Caught up!

Hi missmrs, how exciting almost in the 2ww. Yes the last one imploded (great description!) but this one will hopefully be calm and happy. I’m hoping the lovely regulars who are still missing will find us again and not be put off.

chops, you’re right, there are quite few people who look to be due/testing in the next few days!! Fingers crossed for you – are you testing today?

Congrats again tessie … very strong line! Grin

night well done, you are being so strong! I know what you mean about not wanting to see a bfn, although I do have such a good feeling about you this cycle.

mumof1 you my lovely will definitely be getting a huge congrats from everyone when you get your bfp!

southy hope you’ve had a lovely hol so far!

dizzy your fabbo new thermometer is going to pinpoint ov for you and it will be your turn really soon Flowers. You too woolly. It’s tough when everyone else is preggers and you want to be too. Like night said, six months is generally considered to be the average isn’t it?

merry feel better soon Flowers

woodpigeon123 · 12/04/2015 06:28

Oh, forgot stats!

32, TTC #1, cycle 6, BFP due 19th April

nightandthelight · 12/04/2015 07:06

Get well soon Merry! Flowers

Fx for you NicNak if you are testing today :)

All I seem to see anymore are bumps and babies, were there always this many or am I only now noticing them?! They do get me down but I try to be positive, of those ladies can do it then so can we!

Woolly84 · 12/04/2015 07:21

Thank you coffeenut Smile yes 6 months sounds average, I try to mentally break it down into blocks, so 6 months is the first, then 10, at which point we can start thinking about seeking tests etc. I guess with TTC #1 it's more of the "if" as well and not just the "when"! Fx it happens for us all in the not too distant future! Smile

yes night I know exactly what you mean!! It's like I didn't notice them before, or not as much anyway. I try and rationalise it though by thinking that I don't know how long it took them to get there, or how difficult the journey was, I'm just seeing the "end result" and shouldn't assume by default that it was easy for them. Anyway, how are you feeling today lovely?? Smile

CD13 today for me and finally got that static smiley!! Smile usually it comes at CD11 so change for me. We'll manage to dtd today but not tomorrow as I'm away for the night, never mind....hoping it'll be enough!

nightandthelight · 12/04/2015 07:28

Same woolly for all we know it took them months or even years to get that baby

I am well thank you, just flushed away fmu :) Busy day today baking DH's birthday cake and taking him out for dinner (plus a run to burn off the calories Grin) so that will keep me nicely distracted. Tomorrow is DH's actual birthday so the focus will need to be on him and not TTC so reckon I am in with a good chance of lasting out should AF not arrive!

What are people's plans for today?

nightandthelight · 12/04/2015 07:29

Oh great news about the smiley woolly! Dtd today sounds like you should have it covered :) Have you been dtd in the run up as well?

Woolly84 · 12/04/2015 07:41

Ah that sounds like a lovely couple of days night Smile enjoy the cake making and celebrations!! And yes, that will keep you nicely distracted until P-Day!

A fairly lazy day in the Woolly house, think DH is planning on making scones though - yum!

We've been dtding in the run up, 4 times so far this week so today makes it 5, then hopefully again on Tuesday night to cover all bases! Shame I miss 2nd peak day but never mind can't be helped!

auxiliaryauroch · 12/04/2015 07:47

Sorry #########stats update that af got me last week. New dates. Who knows. Let's put in 1 May and call it midway. I might only ovulate then or if magic works I might ovulated this weeks.

nightandthelight · 12/04/2015 07:54

Sounds like you are very well covered woolly! Fx this is your month!
