Mumof1sofar · 23/04/2015 10:59

Good luck coffee!

Woolly that sounds lovely, have a fab time Smile

Thanks all, I'm really chuffed! Only downside is I have to store my wee in the fridge & send it off to them... Ewww!

MissMrsMummy · 23/04/2015 11:09

Sorry for your loss dizzym Flowers hope you are feeling ok

Thanks sparkly was such a surprise. Excited and nervous, you know the feeling! How are you? Is your scan today? Hope you're ok.

DizzyMerry · 23/04/2015 11:12

Sil is devastated and we're all still in shock. We were so close to her and she was one of those people who we thought would always be around iyswim. Sil is usually the tough one taking care of everyone so it's been really hard to see her like this.

I cancelled my reflexology session yesterday. It's probably my fertile window these next few days (going by last months positive opk) but I just feel guilty even thinking of ttc, like somehow I'm betraying my sil.
Please someone knock some sense into me! Am I a bad person for carrying on with ttc this cycle? It's stressing me out even more Sad

Sparkly123 · 23/04/2015 11:13

Missmrs I know it only too well. Fantastic you got your BFP so soon lovely, keep positive and don't worry until you have to. There's nothing to say this isn't going to be a wonderful healthy pregnancy! Flowers My scan is Tomor .. Literally counting the hours so I can get out of limbo one way or the other. (Although obviously there's only one way I want it to go!)

Mumof1sofar · 23/04/2015 11:23

Dizzy of course you're not a bad person!! You keep going, lovely Thanks

Woolly84 · 23/04/2015 11:25

dizzym no of course you shouldn't feel guilty for TTC, it sounds like you're being a rock for the family right now and I'm sure they're so grateful for that. But do you feel up for TTC? Don't feel you have to, taking some time off from it is not going to set you back that much in the grand scheme of things. You need to look after yourself as well as SIL and the rest of the family. If you feel up to it then go for it though, it's a horrible time but you have to carry on as best you can, certainly don't feel guilty about it. You sound like a very selfless person dizzy, but look after yourself too and do what you feel comfortable with. Thinking of you Flowers

DizzyMerry · 23/04/2015 11:39

I think I feel even worse as her family is in Canada and she hadn't seen her mum for 2 years. My eldest dsis stayed with her last night and has been helping with her kids. We're all pulling together as best we can but still in shock. I know things will carry on around us and so will we but the grief around us is immense. I'm far from selfless even thinking about whether to ttc Sad

Woolly84 · 23/04/2015 11:48

Oh dizzy I just want to give you a big hug Sad
What a terribly difficult time for you all, please please don't feel guilty for thinking about it though Flowers

nightandthelight · 23/04/2015 11:51

Dizzy could you perhaps not actively TTC but just not use protection? That may make things easier for you as you won't be stressing so much, know that TTC can get very overwhelming.

MissMrsMummy · 23/04/2015 11:54

dizzy so sorry you are feeling like this. That's a good idea of night's. And you could re-book reflexology to help with your emotions x

Thanks sparkly really hoping and praying for your scan tomorrow xxx

nightandthelight · 23/04/2015 12:31

Signed up for the CB trial!

parsnipbob · 23/04/2015 12:43

Night me too!

nightandthelight · 23/04/2015 12:48

Yay parsnip :) am going to go full throttle next cycle! Epo grapefruit juice, CB trial, temping and of course dtd! Is there anything else (am already taking conception vits)?

coffeenut · 23/04/2015 13:17

oh dizzymerry Sad

I'm so sorry. Please take it easy, shock and grief will likely knock your body around as it is without the stress of whether or not to dtd. Can I suggest keep temping (it's good to have a routine) and like night says just dtd if/when you feel like it. Missing one month isn't the end of the world but you're certainly not a bad person by any means to keep trying.

woolly just to be clear I had mild nausea through my WHOLE tww last cycle Grin The back pain and cramps are weird but I may have just pulled a muscle (riding my unicorn). Your anniversary plans sound amazing btw!

missmrs thinking of you! I know it must be nerve-wracking in these first few weeks, I have everything crossed.

Woolly84 · 23/04/2015 14:13

Back pain and cramps eh coffee? Shock my mild nausea has now disappeared, run off on a unicorn no doubt....Hmm

DizzyMerry · 23/04/2015 14:55

Thanks everyone you always make me feel better no matter what. Good idea about continuing to temp and just dtd if we like. I did take my temp this morning coz I'm worried about not ovulating so will carry on but won't do any opks.

Will be back tonight to see what you've all been up to.

parsnipbob · 23/04/2015 16:10

So I have an AF question. She came on Tuesday evening (heavy flow, cramping), had her all day yesterday (again heavy flow), then today it's almost nothing, just a bit of brown spotting!

I'm a massive hypochondriac and am freaking out I'm in peri menopause or something, any words of wisdom?

nightandthelight · 23/04/2015 16:22

Doesn't sound massively different to mine parsnip! Is this not normal for you?

parsnipbob · 23/04/2015 16:26

Well I don't know night, that's the thing, I only got the copper (non hormonal) coil removed 3 months ago and that makes you have heavier periods so my perception of what's normal is probably a bit skewed. I did think last months period was a bit lighter than usual but i dont really know.

nightandthelight · 23/04/2015 16:46

Same parsnip, mine were 8 days long on the coil! Sounds like this is what they are actually like :)

parsnipbob · 23/04/2015 16:51

Oh good, was having a panic!! Never met a fellow copper coiler before :) Jesus, 8 days is mad - I don't think mine were ever that bad!

Woolly84 · 23/04/2015 16:55

Take care of yourself dizzy Flowers

Hairstylisttoboris · 23/04/2015 17:48

loopylou1984 · 23/04/2015 18:06
