I've still got about a week to go before I can POAS. DH and I have been trying for about 5 months, but I have very irregular cycles so it's all really hard to judge. I usually go about 2 weeks between periods so following that, AF should be due to arrive before the end of this week. But I'm thinking that would be too early to test and am very impatient! I've also been taking agnus castus this month on the advice of a medical friend so I'm feeling tentatively hopeful. Anyone around who wants to wait it out with me and not read too much into every symptom and definitely not take a test every day this week?

Oh ickle that is crap. I'm sure you're devastated, but there are so many people out there with pcos and success stories so don't give up. As haquoi says, it's better to know and then you can make plans. Hugs to you. xx

Red193 · 21/05/2015 19:23

So today my boobs are still like rock and the smell aversion is still going strong but strangely as well I found myself eating grapes!!! I don't like fruit so even if I get a BFN next week the healthy eating will be a positive to take from it! Anyone else going to be due to test from Monday onwards?

diamondsparkles · 21/05/2015 21:49

Hi brown - I know - there are pregnant women everywhere! I'm cd6, so a few days til I start on the ovulation tests - it's the boring part of the cycle. So I'm a few days behind you.
ickle - so sorry to hear that, you must be so fed up but as others have said you've got your age on your side and lots of women with PCOS do conceive. Big hugs and Flowers.
So what's the next stage for you? Will you be getting medical assistance?
haquoi - any more symptoms? It's test day tomorrow isn't it?!
finding - the acupuncture sounds positive

haquoi123 · 22/05/2015 00:38

finding that sounds great - even if you couldn't properly relax it will have done you some good :)

brown, lovely to have you back! Yes, babies and pregnant women are everywhere, it drives me nuts as well - but soon we will join them :) fx for you this month though.

diamond, yup, time to test again tomorrow. No af and still masses of ewcm (where was it when I was ovulating?!). I'm not really sure what to expect tbh... Not quite as nervous as I was on Wednesday - I feel write calm about it (having anxiety issues about other stuff, but calm about this for some reason). Are you taking the she - oak? Is anyone else?

remember, enjoy your holiday!

Rememberallball · 22/05/2015 07:22

Thanks Haquoi, we had a great time last night seeing my nephew in an am dram production of Fiddler om the Roof which was excellent. Took mum who, whilst recovering physically from her illness, is feeling mentally drained. It's been a difficult year for her given we only lost dad 4 months ago.

I've been temping for 2 weeks now; am waiting for an appearance from af (probably while we're away knowing my luck) but, strangely, my temp is continuing to rise - today it's the highest it's been since I started at 36.92c but I know from the blood test last week that I didn't ovulate this cycle. I'm d29 today so wondering if im going to have a long cycle compared to last month which was only 25 days long.

Having a relaxed morning waiting for DP to wake up enough to get going and sorted out with packing etc before sorting out this sample he needs to produce - apparently everything/anything he needs to do this morning will take 5 minutes per task!!!

Can't wait to go and see my aunt & uncle as we rarely see each other without other family around and they've wanted to spend time with dp to get to know him. It's only lunch today as we're stopping off on our way to Cornwall to visit dp's family. Can't wait to be sat in future mils this evening knowing we're on holiday!!

birchygoo · 22/05/2015 07:57

remember if you are having a long cycle you d21 blood tests may have missed your ovulation. I was told when having mine that if af didn't appear 7 days later I would need them repeated. so maybe they have just missed your ovulation ...

I'm also of to Cornwall tomorrow - here is hoping for lots of Cornish babies Wink

haquoi good luck with testing today fx

diamondsparkles · 22/05/2015 08:00

haquoi - good luck with testing xxx

haquoi123 · 22/05/2015 08:36

Bfn!!! I'm not all that surprised to be honest, but 6 six days late now and no sign of AF. It's just one of those months. I feel quite calm about it, maybe it's the she - oak! Still loads of ewcm, so much! Well, the upside is that I can drink this weekend (not massively, I'm not a big drinker, but socially) and if AF stays away then that's a bonus. The festival was stupidly muddy last time and peeing was an effort, let alone changing a pad!

I'm really sorry to hear about your dad remember. It's good that your mum has you to look out for her.

The rise in temperature seems interesting though - are you going to poas at any point? It's interesting what birchy said. I hope you have a great weekend!

birchy, a holiday at the time of ov is perfect!! Absolutely, cornish babies ahoy! Enjoy :)

findingmyfeet12 · 22/05/2015 09:04

Sorry to hear about your dad Remember. Four months is no time at all.

Haquoi - sorry about your bfn. I can't remember whether you said you're usually regular or not.
Birchy, enjoy your holiday.

I gave in and poas yesterday. Bfn. I vomited yesterday but I'm off work this morning with the worst sore throat I've ever had. I feel generally unwell and that's why I think I vomited. Having said that, my nipples are very sore and agony to even brush against.

I mentioned the clomid side effects to the Dr yesterday and she said they were normal :(

Incidentally, when I got home my jeans were almost split down the sides...

diamondsparkles · 22/05/2015 09:18

Sorry about bfn haquoi. I'm glad you're calm though - that she-oak must be good stuff! I'm going to look at getting some.
Have a great time at the festival - hope the weather is kind. A few drinks will be good too, I'm going to have a few this weekend too, well it is bank holiday Grin
remember - so sorry to hear about your dad, I lost mine a few years ago so I know what it's like. Enjoy your holiday Smile Cornwall is beautiful
And you birchy! Make this Cornish babies!!

diamondsparkles · 22/05/2015 09:26

That should be make those Cornish babies!

diamondsparkles · 22/05/2015 09:31

finding - maybe the test was just too early. The sore nipples sound like a symptom. You're not out yet with that bfn, maybe test again Sunday?
Sorry those side effects are normal, they sound horrendous Sad
Hope your throat is better soon, it's horrible being ill like that. Look after yourself.

findingmyfeet12 · 22/05/2015 09:40

Thanks Diamond

Sorry for tmi but doesn't anyone know whether it's normal for one nipple to be significantly more sore than the other?

findingmyfeet12 · 22/05/2015 09:43

I meant, does anyone know!

diamondsparkles · 22/05/2015 09:49

finding - I've heard others says they've had one nipple more sore than the other on some of the threads here so It could be a good sign Grin

findingmyfeet12 · 22/05/2015 10:07

I try never to show favouritism but the extra sore one had better buck up its ideas as its in danger of pissing me off.

diamondsparkles · 22/05/2015 10:09

Grin you're funny finding!!

hewy · 22/05/2015 11:59

Haha finding. Yes I'm a teacher and I always think a good talking to is in order!! Give the nipple a clear warning and if no change, take action!!!
Sorry about these bfns. Not what we were all hoping for. Let's hope June brings us all some better news. I got a smiley on my ov monitor this morning so have told dh that the dtd marathon is nearly over, then the looookng tww starts. Hope everyone enjoys the weekend-a good but if relaxing and fun is what your body needs. Have a good one.

browneyedgirl86 · 22/05/2015 12:08

Sorry to hear about your Dad Remember

Sorry also to hear about your Bfn Haquoi
Hopefully yes we will all get bfps!

Are you behind me diamond I thought you were in front of me? Confused as I haven't been around. According to my fertility app I should be ovulating from today but after last months fiasco I have no idea!

browneyedgirl86 · 22/05/2015 12:10

Just noticed you also had a bfn finding it's rubbish when that happens.

I hope everyone has a good weekend!

diamondsparkles · 22/05/2015 13:14

I'm behind you brown - cd7 here of a horrible witch af that has made me feel ill it's been that heavy. Hopefully nearly done now though. I will start ovulation tests on cd10 or 11 as I usually ovulate about cd16/17.
Hope you ovulate soon! I had a fiasco last month too where I didn't get a positive ovulation test then ran out of sticks! I've just ordered some more for next month as I've got this month's supply now - see - have no confidence of a bfp this month either!!

diamondsparkles · 22/05/2015 21:13

Have a good bank holiday weekend everyone Grin

Icklepickle101 · 22/05/2015 22:42

I feel slightly embarrassed and guilty to be writing this post after being so negative, but my blood tests came in today and my doctor called me and told me to do a home pregnancy test and to my complete and utter amazement I got my BFP, the doctor seems to think it may be hormone supplements I was taking prior to my ultrasound that have my ovaries the small kick they needed, so there we go, after being told I was practically infertile a week ago it seems like everything really is possible.

I am sending every single bit of baby dust to all of you who I know day will be will be posting this picture themselves xxxxx

Halfway through my TWW and looking for company. Anyone in the same boat?
