I've still got about a week to go before I can POAS. DH and I have been trying for about 5 months, but I have very irregular cycles so it's all really hard to judge. I usually go about 2 weeks between periods so following that, AF should be due to arrive before the end of this week. But I'm thinking that would be too early to test and am very impatient! I've also been taking agnus castus this month on the advice of a medical friend so I'm feeling tentatively hopeful. Anyone around who wants to wait it out with me and not read too much into every symptom and definitely not take a test every day this week?

Eurgh, zen haquoi no longer exists, I'm so antsy today that if my 10 pregnancy tests had arrived yesterday I'd have peed on them all by now. I don't have any more symptoms, just some EWCM (?!) and a bad feeling that AF is just going to come out of the blue. So bored of this now, I want the wait to be over!

haquoi123 · 15/05/2015 14:21

I failed and tested. BFN. Oh well, there's always next month. Now for AF to turn up.

birchygoo · 15/05/2015 15:47

aww haquoi I'm so sorry, but AF is not here yet so still some home. I do hope that you get that BFP but if not I will be glad to have you on the SMEP with me next month

I'm on cd 6 today - looking forward to starting this cycle.

Good news today is that all my tests have come back fine from GP. So now I know its just a matter of time and luck :-)

SleepyDragon · 15/05/2015 16:03

Afternoon ladies.......

BFP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

two lines!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Positive!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i think i'm going to be sick!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

haquoi123 · 15/05/2015 16:21

Congratulations sleepy, that's great news!! Grin I'm so so pleased for you xx

Thanks birchy, I'll be pleased to join you on the smep - I didn't think it would happen this month anyway because of my chemical pregnancy last cycle, so I'm not too surprised. More annoyed! That's great news about your test results though, what a relief! I highly recommend reflexology (thanks again diamond, it has been life-changing), and specifically fertility reflexology - my one says to look specifically for people who have trained through this group as they'll have done a longer and more thorough course: www.reproductivereflexologists.co.uk/

SleepyDragon · 15/05/2015 16:55

Thank you haquoi my head is in a right mess and i know it can't have been brilliant for your read my news but i had to share, i'm sorry if it was insensitive xx

haquoi123 · 15/05/2015 17:11

No no! The best thing about this place is that we can support each other in the highs and lows - I am genuinely excited for you! :) it's about time one of us gets a bfp! Do you know what to do next?

findingmyfeet12 · 15/05/2015 17:12

Congratulations sleepy!!!

I'm so happy for you Grin.

I hope we hear the same news for all the other soon too.

How exciting for you. I can't imagine how you must be feeling.

birchygoo · 15/05/2015 17:16

sleepy that is fab news!! what is your stats again?

I am really interested in what is the avg time to conceive in this group.

haquoi thanks for that tip - I must look into reflexology. I have been doing some yoga and that has helped me de stress lots!

I have a good feeling about this month - I have my cousins wedding in July so if I get pregnant this month I will have to come up with some excuse for not drinking! That is going to be hard to do at an Irish wedding! I was hoping i had got a bfp this month as then I would have been able to be open about why I was not drinking. However lying about not drinking would be a very tiny sacrifice for a BFP

SleepyDragon · 15/05/2015 17:47

Thanks finding and birchy (and haquoi again!)

if i am honest i have fallen very very lucky. I was on cerazette (now cyrelle) for 5 years with no periods at all. i cam off the pill in January this year and had no AF or even withdrawal bleeds etc until March. i downloaded the 'CLUE' app purely to see if i could regulate AF from it as i wasn't sure on dates etc and the March AF was awful, April much better. The App also gives you your fertile window and i have to confess we DTD almost everyday the app showed me (sorry TMI i know)

I'm in shock mainly becasue i was anticipating about a year to fall on. I'm 35 and overweight and have been without AF's (due to various contraception) for about 8 years!

i really really hope you all get your BFP's soon i feel like ive cheated you in some way.xx

SleepyDragon · 15/05/2015 17:50

haquoi

i phoned my GP and she sid i dont need an appointment until weeks 6 - 8, they took the date of last AF and think i'm already 4 - 5 weeks based on that so made be a 'first booking appointment (?!) for 5 June, 3 weeks time.

in the meantime i'm googling every diet and vitamin known to man (and woman obvs!) and trying to work out when to tell our parents so one set doesn't find out before the others (they live 200 mile away and i feel rotten doing it on the phone and we're all going on a family holiday on 25 May!!!!)

findingmyfeet12 · 15/05/2015 17:54

sleepy your info gives me so much hope. I'm 35 as well and have been trying for a long time. I do have very regular AFs though (I can time them almost to the hour!)

Your bfp has really given me much needed hope.

haquoi123 · 15/05/2015 18:06

sleepy that's amazing news. My only advice (and I know you've not asked for it, sorry!) is to tell someone other than your partner so that if you get morning sickness or find it difficult at all that you've got support. The secret isn't worth not having support. Wishing you all the best of luck!

haquoi123 · 15/05/2015 18:07

finding how are you feeling?

findingmyfeet12 · 15/05/2015 18:15

Haquoi I'm feeling a little better, thanks. I haven't time to see the doctor as I've taken a lot of time off work for various tests and scans and I don't think my employer will take kindly to me taking any more.

I know I said that I didn't trust symptom spotting but I'm now going to look back in the thread to re-read everything Sleepy said about her symptoms Blush

diamondsparkles · 15/05/2015 18:40

Hi ladies
I couldn't stay away, I missed you too much Smile
haquoi - once again your kind words have been a real comfort so thank you (and big hugs). So sorry about your BFN but you're not out yet, still hoping for you.
birchy - yes I'll be SMEPing too this month - as long as DH's shifts allow!
sleepy - amazing news!! I'm delighted for you - I had a feeling you were getting your BFP! It gives me hope as well as I was on cerazette - although I've been off it nearly a year now and there's only so long I can blame a pill on my failure Blush
finding - glad you're feeling a little better, hopefully you're over the worst of it now.

birchygoo · 15/05/2015 20:18

diamond I'm so happy you have come Back Grin Grin Grin [ PS not sure wat that last emoji I put up and now or won't delete Blush

birchygoo · 15/05/2015 20:18

ooh ignore.. as it didn't even come up lol

birchygoo · 15/05/2015 20:20

in work today I accidentally hung up on two people lol but then my colleagues start asking ooh is this baby brain .. do any of you get asked constantly any news? I feel like shouting sometimes that I'm blooming trying!

haquoi123 · 15/05/2015 20:43

Yay diamond, I'm so so pleased you're staying!! :) How're you feeling?
birchy, that's annoying! Do they know you're ttc? No-one asks me anything, but tbh anyone who mentions babies to me tend to get a death stare, or rabbit in the headlights face (oh shit, how can I run away???), so it doesn't happen too often.
finding, that's so good you're feeling better. Everyone's symptoms are different, each pregnancy is also different. You never know, yours might be something interesting :)
I don't even feel sick or have that weird taste, or constant hunger anymore. I know I'm out and so I'm just waiting. Next month.

diamondsparkles · 15/05/2015 21:03

Thanks for the lovely welcome back birchy and haquoi! I couldn't leave you Grin - birchy - would have loved to see what that emoj was! I get it all the time at work: comments like "you're the favourite next", "have you got any news" "can't you persuade your DH for another?" - to that I feel like saying "why, am I that hideous?!" Or the downright rude "it's cruel for your DS to be an only child, he's missing out on loads" - I swear I will lose my temper one day!
Haquoi - I like the idea of the death stare. Your test today, maybe you'd just drank too much water or something? Are you going to test in the morning? Will be there for you if you do and crossing fingers lots xx
I'm okay thank you, once again this morning's spotting disappeared, af is really taking her time to kick in properly which is extremely frustrating as I just want to get it out of the way and to get on with SMEP. I'm still bitterly disappointed but I can't wallow for long.

hewy · 15/05/2015 21:11

Congratulations Sleepy!!!!! It's so good to hear that BFPs even exist and so pleased for you! Gives us hope to keep trying. I'm downloading that VLUE app too! Trying everything!

birchygoo · 15/05/2015 21:27

they don't know I'm TTC - I laugh it of and say not anytime soon - which isn't really a lie Wink

a colleague got married a few months after me and she has just made her announcement of bfp so it has upped the anti recently - ohh it will be you next, any news yet, baby brain today - no its just I'm thick today haha, and advice not to leave it to long - never a right time for kids! grrr

I love hearing about bfp especially for ppl who are older than me and have been trying for a few months as it gives me confidence it will happen for me! I think what I realised this month since joining this group is we may not b DTD at right times. previously we stopped DTD day I got peak readings on ovulation sticks. I have realised I become a narky witch when I ovulate! never seen that connection before TTC but knew every month I got awful PMS just not during AF. so I've had talk with dh no matter how grumpy I am we have to baby dance lol so I'm hoping that has been our issue so far.

diamondsparkles · 15/05/2015 21:56

birchy - lol - how strange you become a narky witch when you ovulate?! You'll definitely have to be speaking to dh and try not to show your narkiness Grin. I must admit sometimes I've had to bite my tongue when I was about to have a go at dh when I've realised what day it is! The things we have to do!
I think you ovulate 12-36 hours after a peak reading so yes maybe you've been stopping a little early. How long have you been ttc again?

haquoi123 · 15/05/2015 21:56

diamond, again, don't want to get your hopes up, but have you poas? I'm not sure I'm going to do it again - maybe Monday if AF hasn't turned up, but I'm getting slight cramps and feel like she's on her way. Unless you want to go 'fuck it! Let's stick to our poas on Sat morning plan even if we know it'll be negative!' with me? That's cruel what those people are saying, I hate it when people think they can butt into your life and make suggestions without knowing whats happening with you. How old is your DS?

hewy, I know what you mean, BFPs are like gold!! You could sell them on the market for thousands! Where are you in your cycle again?

birchy, temping apparently is really good for knowing when you've actually ovulated. Its good for hindsight, so it doesn't predict, but it lets you know when you can stop babydancing. Urgh, both DH and I want AF to hurry up and sodding get it over and done with.
