mrsb the 'forms' just have the instructions about when you will send back your pee, singing to say you are fit and well and promising you won't get caught talk about it on mumsnet.

Hairstylist Maybe a symptom Wink I am trying to lose some weight so trying to be good but would love a chocolate bar. My porridge really didn't fill me up enough. Cooking a curry tonight though - going to the shop straight from work to get me some cream! nom nom. Sticking a load of spinach in it though so it is healthy.

mummyofonesofar · 23/02/2015 15:10

Purdeylicious It is at its lowest at 04:00 and its highest between 1600-1800.

KnitFastDieWarm · 23/02/2015 15:53

purdey last time I had a blood test it took them 6 goes to get the merest trickle of blood out of my cold, tiny veins - they even had to use the tiny butterfly needly thing that is usually reserved for infants and old ladies Hmm In the end they had to get it out of the back of my hand which WAS. NOT. FUN. You never really appreciate ho sensitive the back of your hand is until you've had someone show a needle into your knuckle right over the joint (boak)

tl;dr I hope your blood test goes better than my last one

How is Young Nancy today? Hope she is feeling better!

nomio this does seem to be a bus that is particularly ripe with the mentally quirky - I like it, I feel like I fit in Smile

mrsb0710 · 23/02/2015 16:01

mummy thanks. Just waiting on a follow up phone call now. Who knew, someone is interested in our wee! Grin

dojo123 · 23/02/2015 16:15

Knit Sounds like your veins are as bad as mine!
When I was 18 I had regular bloods taken, once was in with the phlebotomist for over 40min with them trying to find a vein in either of my arms. In the end they had to submerge my hands in hot water to see if a vein would come to the surface and then like you, go into the back of my hand and draw it out by syringe.

Hoping that if when I get pg and they have to take blood, my veins will have improved from the amount of water I now drink compared to when I was a teenager.

PurdeyBirdie · 23/02/2015 16:34

I missed the buzz. I simply don't care. I'll still 'ave blood in me veins tomorrow

Mummy, thanks for answering my question. S'interesting, innit. My temp at 7am was 36.75 and at 3pm after a three-hour kip it was 37.00. Not much in it, really, is there? What I mean is, I'll bet my temp at 4am (the coolest time of day) was still around 36.60. So only a .4 difference between the coolest and hottest BBT. Does that sound right?

I am beginning to think charting my temps is tantamount to masochism. Having a high temp when you wake at 13dpo is just an amazing feeling after three years of seeing the plummet begin at 11dpo. To then do a test and it be BFN is just too much. I would rather not know what my temps are doing and just wait for the bloody period Sad

loopylou1984 · 23/02/2015 16:50

Purdey - I'm giving up temping after this cycle.
I've decided that it's too stressful so I'm just going to leave my body to it for a couple of months until we see the specialist.

As someone on here (I forget who now) pointed out if I have a long cycle I can always take it and compare to others months temps to see if I've just not ovd for some reason. Xx

mummyofonesofar · 23/02/2015 16:54

I don't know how much it changes between the hours, sorry. I wish I could just temp and stop testing. The temps will indicate what's going on.

juneybean · 23/02/2015 17:01

God I go to work for an hour and you guys fill a page almost!

boris you fatty! reminds me of when I was mainlining snickers in my first ever tww! sadly that turned out to be just me being a greedy cow!

dozygirl thanks for popping back to reassure us about spotting! Hope your pregnancy is going well!

raviolig · 23/02/2015 17:24

Purdey definitely do not count bfn as a real one. You are not out until af arrives.
I have been absent a lot again, trying to keep up but get distracted and by the time I get to comment everything has moved on again!
I am lost as to where I am now. I thought I ovd on 14th but thinking now maybe I did ov on 9th when I first felt pains on one side and the cramps I felt on 14 th were implantation. I am talking myself into this!! My symptoms are getting worse, not in my head ! This is torture. My boobs ache. This is how they used to feel after a day at work having not breastfed or pumped. They haven't been like this since I stopped feeding ds. Now my hips are killing me. I had SPD both pregnancies and it was showing at 9 weeks last time, they said it will get earlier each pregnancy. My taste buds have gone beserk. I nearly threw up cooking Sunday lunch at the smell of the chicken, and it wasn't off. So all these symptoms, I went and bought some cheapies today, the same ones I have always used and got an early result on, BFN. Of course . Well it was just now so far too late in the day, or so I am telling myself. AF not due until next weekend I think so far too early I just thought if I feel all these symptoms maybe it would show on a test. Aargh so frustrating.

Nomio230 · 23/02/2015 17:32

It definitely sounds like you have a lot of symptoms, ravioli. It may well be that it is just too early to test. Fx for you.

raviolig · 23/02/2015 17:38

Thanks Nomio, I am just soooooo impatient!! This ttc is not easy. I thought I would be more relaxed this time, obviously not!!

Nomio230 · 23/02/2015 17:43

Ladies, I need help.

As some of you may know, I have recently moved house. As we have now moved to a different county, we should go register with a local doctor, but we have just been referred for IVF through our old surgery. It has taken us a long time to get to this point and we finally have our first appointment next week.

The problem is that I have just discovered that the old PCT (or whatever they are called now) only offer one cycle through the NHS, but our new area offers the full three. My worry is that if we cancel the appointment we already have and register in our new area, they will make us go through all the tests again, and we will have to wait months before we get seen.

I really don’t know what to do & dh is just as torn as I am. Do we go with the appointment we have, and take our one shot, or do we move doctors and risk not getting started for months?

I don’t know what to do for the best. Help me! Confused

scrunchiemount · 23/02/2015 17:45

soooo am a hopeless POAS addict and just held my wee for 4 hours. Result was this. Trying not to get excited but that's definitely a line no? Albeit a skinny one?

scrunchie I can see that!!! Yayy

PurdeyBirdie · 23/02/2015 17:50

Knit, I'm sorry I'm late replying to your post this arvo but I was busy putting my head in cleaning the oven. That blood-sucking sounds monstrous Shock I am very easy to get blood from. In fact I'm easy to get anything from. In fact....I'm just easy Grin Thanks for asking after Nancy. She is a superstar and coping brilliantly with her poor collarbone. Kids heal very quickly, thank the Lord.

I am detecting the vaguest of 'pulling' in my groin area Hmm

juneybean · 23/02/2015 17:51

nomio surely they'll transfer your records across including all the tests you've already had? I'd be tempted to go for the three cycles...

OP posts:
scrunchiemount · 23/02/2015 17:53

juneybean trying not to get my hopes up as it is ridiculously early and when I did a FRER this morning I didn't get even a hint of a line...might try again tomorrow AM with a non-cheapo brand...fingers crossed though.

juneybean · 23/02/2015 17:58

How many dpo are you?

OP posts:
PurdeyBirdie · 23/02/2015 18:00

Nomio, If I were you I swear I would re-register and get the full three cycles. Barely anyone succeeds in the UK on their first cycle; that's why they offer three. Some IVF cons will even admit that they use the first try as a dummy run, simply to guage the effectiveness (or otherwise) of the drugs. Please, please don't put all your eggs in one cycle basket.

Scrunchie, I don't believe you got a bfp at 8dpo. I hate you, basically Grin So you got a bfn with a FRER?? How come? Can anyone explain this to me? I thought FRERs were the dog's wotsits?!

juneybean · 23/02/2015 18:04

Nah, like someone said above they just want you to buy loads and test early, get a BFN then have to buy MOAR!

OP posts:
mummyofonesofar · 23/02/2015 18:07

Nomio I would just ask your Gp practice. They will be able to advise you what to do. From 1st April we can register wherever we want but depending on how far you have moved it may be unwise to not switch practice incase you need treatment but can't dxactly pop in to your old county.

Scrunch are you really 8dpo? Faith in early testing restored! Congratulations, def a line!

RoseBud2015 · 23/02/2015 18:12

Hi all,

I've been in Ireland for the past week so haven't managed to catch up on all the news yet but after inputting all of my temps from when I was away FF seems to have confirmed ov!

But I've been totally shite at temping at the same time each day (and forgot on loads of days Blush) so surely FF is having me on, right??

www.fertilityfriend.com/home/5790c0

Must do better at this temping lurk next month! Hmm

I'll read back now.....

scrunchiemount · 23/02/2015 18:12

Only 8dpo but temps are very erratic so ff might have miscalculated my o date. Going to try to restrain myself and test again in two days...
