Brickie - I bled a bit like a period for about 4 days and then spotted for another 3 days. No-one advised me to test, but I wanted to reassure myself that it was over. I was impatient and tested on day 5 and was surprised to get a bfn. I have read that it often takes a few weeks to get a bfn. In my case the pregnancy ended about 4 weeks before the mc happened, so maybe that's why I got a bfn so soon?

Sorry, me again. My mc was Xmas day, would they have known/told me by now if it had been a molar pregnancy?

I would have thought they would have known by now if it was a molar pregnancy. Try not to worry. I hope you start to feel better soon x

epskie sorry I don't recall, but did you mc naturally? Im not positive but I thought molar was largely diagnosed from tissue by histology and is then monitored through blood tests. But I'm not sure they'd check blood for that routinely. Did you have anything sent for testing?
Hopefully someone more clued up will have a better answer.

OH has said to look at dates for pregnancy/holiday whereby if im not pregnant by x then we stop ttc until hols so as I'm not in first trimester whilst away. We need a holiday.

I think that they routinely send some tissue to check for molar pg.

Thank you. Yes gr33dy it was an incomplete natural miscarriage but then I did have misoprostol at the end.

I've been having my blood tested every Friday since Xmas but surely they'd have told me if they suspected molar? So sad and stressed x

ladydoc they do send tissue if you have a procedure or pass at hospital - many women mc at home and so no tissue is submitted.

FF Question
Can anyone give me a bit of advice? I'm charting my bbt for the first time this month with the help of FF. The first couple of days were a bit rocky but that was because I was taking it too early and they settled down to look 'normal'. This morning I seemed to be up every hour from about 3 and didn't really know when I should take my temp so waited until my usual time of 6.45am. There was a massive spike, but I also felt really hot when I woke up and had a sore throat. I had a negative opk yesterday and I don't think I have ovulated but we dtd this morning just in case (although I read its too late by this point anyway!). According to FF up until this morning, O day was predicted for Friday. Now its saying I have Ov'd. Do I just ignore this and will FF reset itself when my temp goes back to normal? Or might I have Ov'd without a positive opk? So confusing!!

My TSH levels are up from 1.27 to 2.28.

Ladies, quick question. I was discharged from EPU when I had my last scan - they said there was a tiny bit/clot left but that it should settle on its own/with next period. I started bleeding fresh blood again last Tues and am still getting some every day - it's not much and I then get nothing for hours but it is bright red. I had been to gym for first time since mc - not sure if that affected things. Do you think I should call EPU? Not sure what to think - it will be 4 weeks this Friday since mc.

Hi Romeo I would ring them anyway to put your mind at rest. my first AF was 4/5 weeks after MC and had quite a few clots, so it could possibly be AF x

Thanks Amy, I'm pretty sure it's not AF as I'm getting a very faint pos on preg test still and I didn't have a break when I wasn't bleeding iyswim. Have spoken to them and they said to call back on Fri if it's still happening - they give you 2 wks from being discharged and then to try a preg test on 27th. Ugh just want this over with.
