Purdey you are only saying what everyone else is thinking...!! Share away my love! Xx

MissMrsMummy · 25/01/2015 17:00

purdey please write a book! Or at least a blog. I don't care what about - I'd read it!

Oh no bovny that's rubbish. Well at least you are well prepared to use all your stock next cycle - quite exciting! Glad your LP is good at 13 days.

purdey your right up my street, I love your way with words and I'm usually nodding along! Tons of cm last months before AF, no BFP, not so much this month?

Also, ecwm 4 days before AF, any experience?! Totally confused me. Should I be peeing on an OPk??

Sparkly123 · 25/01/2015 17:09

Bovny sorry about AF, but you are def good to go for next cycle.. Which isn't long to wait now! One step closer! Sending soooo much positivity to you for Feb bus!!!

babsbunny · 25/01/2015 17:27

Bonvy. Snap. Sorry for AF, the cow finally turned up for me this afternoon. She waited until I had pee'd on a frer this morning (what a waste) then bam.

So screw Her. Lets show her who's boss next month.

Better go and warm up a seat on the Feb bus...

letsdothisthing · 25/01/2015 17:49

Not many of us left now, I'm 9dpo today and for some reason just decided to test, raaarrr bfn!!

mrscatmad31 · 25/01/2015 18:03

I tested this morning (not due until Thursday) and it came up with am error message, took it as a sign to wait until Thursday!

PurdeyBirdie · 25/01/2015 18:21

Haribo, what the hell do you mean, 'usually'? Hmm Grin

Shall I tell you summat I keep reading? That our vaginas should not be sopping wet in the 2ww if we are to find ourselves preggo. Why? Because, as soon as HcG is released into the bloodstream - and our body realises it is pregnant - the cervix rises up high and closes tightly so as to avert any infection or other dangers to the foetus. Now, this is what I keep reading: If the cervix springs back high up and closes up shop, there should be minimal leakage of cm. It makes sense to me and, guess what..? If you look back at my pregnancy chart I have no cm whatsobloodyever! Shock

PurdeyBirdie · 25/01/2015 18:22

Bovril, sorry fer t'AF Sad and you, Babs.

MissMrsMummy · 25/01/2015 18:23

letsdothis no there are hardly any of us left! Much easier to keep up with the thread now though! 9dpo is too early, keeping my fingers crossed for you in a few days.

I'm only 6dpo and time is going sooooooooo slooooooooowly... Feel like I have wished my weekend away waiting for Thursday!

mrscatmad not to worry, wait until Thurs!

In fact I wish there could be a digi hpt that would say 'error, it's far too early to test. wait another x days' then we wouldn't be disappointed by early bfn!

teacher1984 · 25/01/2015 18:58

How accurate are the four day early pregnancy tests ladies? Don't think I can wait until Thurs to see if AF arrives. Tempted to pick up a four day early test tomorrow morning. Or should I just wait?

WWYD?

Arghhh! Hate the 2ww so much.

PurdeyBirdie · 25/01/2015 19:02

Very accurate, teacher..80-odd per cent.

PurdeyBirdie · 25/01/2015 19:05

Correction: 96%! Shock

teacher1984 · 25/01/2015 19:11

Think I'll buy one then! Seeing a bfn is so much worse than AF though so not sure why I'm putting myself through it ???????? Fxfxfxfx

PurdeyBirdie · 25/01/2015 19:19

..because you're mental, love. We all are Hmm

BabyBumpHopeful · 25/01/2015 20:14

Accurate yes, but it doesn't mean that you personally are creating enough hcg to get a reading. Also remember that some people never get a positive urine HPT, or don't get on until days after AF is due... so don't get discouraged. You're not out till a blood test tells you you are!

Purdey re vaginas being sopping wet = not pregnant. I did some reading when I had the same thing (several days of copious amounts of watery CM to the point I thought my period was starting way early) and while some of the reading said the same as you, many said that the total drying up didn't happen until a few weeks later into pregnancy because at first your body expels all this watery CM to flush out the area (including dead sperm so I also read it could smell slightly off) to ensure you don't get an infection in the early stages. I wish I could find the link right now but I can't :S

I also found a fair few posts about people with watery CM who turned out to be pregnant (and so I'm still hopeful!!)

xBlueberry88x · 25/01/2015 20:20

Re cm...in my tww before finding out I was pregnant I had loads of lotion like cm thay was my only real difference! I had for a few weeks and then nothing for a few weeks and now back to loads of watery cm

catlady87 · 25/01/2015 20:23

PURDEY ?????? you should absolutely write a blog. You are the fertility equivalent of Caroline Hirons (google her, she's amazing). Well, jury seems to be out on the CM pre AF, still got plenty. I haven't been tracking symptoms long enough to know if this is unusual for me. But I certainly haven't noticed it before. Anyway PMS cramp/backache symptoms have eased since this morning oddly. Bet the cow still turns up on Tues. Oh and porridge still smells of Bovril. Good luck everyone ?? x

butterflygirl1515 · 25/01/2015 20:24

Wow, wow. Found out today that Im pregnant. :-) First time TTC. Had 2 feint but positive tests this morning. Then had it confirmed at Gyne ward at local hospital as have been having a lot of pains since ovulation. Thought was implantation but it got worse so concerned about possible ectopic pregnancy. GP on Fri said if I still had pains and got a positive test to go to hospital to get checked out. Had lots of tests and all seems to be well so it must be normal early preg pains the consultant said that some people experience. Im 37, partner is 34. Our first child.

The way myself and partner went about TTC was (after reading up a lot beforehand on good things to do to help)

I monitored my CM for 3 months prior to TTC
Took folic acid 2 month before TTC
Kept a record of cycle lengths for 6 months before TTC (27 - 34 days)
used online fertile day preditor calender
Used Ovulation tests when EWCM started - got a positive on 1 day
DTD for 5 days in a row on and from positive ov test - also a couple of times the previous week. Kept lying down with hips raised for 30mins after. Had orgasm to aid conception each time.

Used balence activ concieve lube everytime of DTD that month to keep PH levels good for conception.

Both ate extra healthily for couple of months before TTC and partner cut out alcohol. Also partner avoided hot baths and laptop on lap.

I still cant quite belive it but am so happy. Best wishes to everyone else who are currently TTC. x

Congratulations butterfly , sooooo Envy

What cd/dpo did you first test positive?

Sparkly123 · 25/01/2015 20:34

butterfly awww congratulations!! And wow. You were super organised!! Thanks for letting us know. Can I ask how many cycles you tried for?? Fantastic news and so relieved for you the pain is normal. Wishing you a healthy 9 months!!!! Flowers

PurdeyBirdie · 25/01/2015 20:40

Oh, Baby, yes, that makes total sense that the vagina would flush out perilous fluids to protect the embryo early on. Thanks for sharing your readings, I love learning new stuff about this game after all this time (plus it gives me renewed hope when the floodgates open in the 2ww!)

Oooh, Butterfly! You jammy bugger..first time! And you're no spring chicken either! What a great poster girl for the late-thirties Smile

teacher1984 · 25/01/2015 20:41

Congratulations butterfly!!! And thanks for all the info x

butterflygirl1515 · 25/01/2015 20:41

Thanks MarysPrayer.

My Positive Ov test was on day 16 of my cycle and got positive pregnacy result today which is day 28. only took tests this early due to pains and GP recommendation otherwise was going to wait till day after my longest recent cycle 34 days.

Other symptoms ive had are swollen breasts, feeling like i was due to start period. yellowish CM for a couple of days, 4 days after pos ov test.

catlady87 · 25/01/2015 20:43
