Hi all! Found you.

Thanks for the good wishes!

Knitfast oh so hopeful for you!! This sounds good.. Fingers crossed!!

Good luck pulpi!!!!

mustbemad71 · 22/01/2015 17:45

Thanks Nomio, will get it ordered. Been swotting up on temping. Not sure 3 hours uninterrupted sleep is doable though - with youngest daughter texting me from her room with night terrors wanting cuddles (they still keep you awake in their teens!) and a 43 year old knackered pelvic floor which means I need at least 2 wees per night! You youngsters have it all to look forward to!

Marmite27 · 22/01/2015 17:48

Place marking! I'm home alone tonight as DH is in London on a two day course. Still have this stinking cold though. Got home at half four and got straight into my pjs.

I'm going to do my stats again because I think they're on the original bus thread!

Marmite27 TTC#1 age 34. Currently C5/CD20, 6DPO. Next AF due 30th.

As I recall (because I didn't write it down) I've had sore boobs by this point every other month, they feel funny almost full/heavy. I'm sustaining a temp above 37, when my post OV temps are more in the 36.5 region. I've had a few instances of a very saliva-y mouth, and not cramps exactly but some stab by pains last night and today. I thought they were digestive related as they almost felt like they were inside my bum, but moved a bit when I laid down.

Don't you just love SS Hmm

PurdeyBirdie · 22/01/2015 17:49

No, Genni, I can't afford maca and co-enzyme. I'm a SAHM and my hubby has recently lost his job. We are in pretty dire straits if truth be known and so vits and supps are a no-no Sad I do take omega 3 fish oil, vit D and folic acid, because these are all pennies from t'supermarket. However, if I had a choice I would be taking maca root and co-enzyme Q10 like a shot.

Sammy, the amino acids, fatty acids, zinc and selenium content are just a few of maca's properties. As a hormone regulator it is peerless, and works on the pituitary gland to regulate oestrogen and progesterone. Wikipedia attests Maca's reported beneficial effects for sexual function 'could be due to its high concentration of proteins and vital nutrients; maca contains a chemical called p-methoxybenzyl isothiocyanate, which reputedly has aphrodisiac properties.

I'm not so concerned with its sexual function properties; I am, however, very impressed with what I've read about its ability to regulate an individual 's hormones by focusing on the pituitary gland. Genius.

Marmite27 · 22/01/2015 17:49

*pre-OV temps!

PurdeyBirdie · 22/01/2015 17:51

It's also packed with protein and all the vit B's Smile

rubyrubes13 · 22/01/2015 17:55

Sorry for the rant last night I think is starting to get on top of me

gennibugs · 22/01/2015 17:58

Oh purdey I'm sorry to read that. I hope he finds something soon. I was made redundant a few years back and it was tough. It's the reason we stupidly put off ttc. It's never easy, and does cause pressure when it happens.
Supplements are so expensive, I balked at the coq10 price especially at that dosage tbh.

loopylou1984 · 22/01/2015 18:01

Just looked it up and it's a bit pricey ??
But may be worth a go for the protein and bvits.

I'm scared of taking too much in case it messes up my cycles which are currently very regular (ignoring Octobers 43 day wtf cycle), have you read anything that suggests any negative side effects?

Ruby, don't worry about it, we all need to vent sometimes! X

Blue500 · 22/01/2015 18:13

Evening all Smile
Just catching up on all the latest

Congrats to Genni. Blimey, I hope you get your answers soon

Purdey / spinning I'm just jumping in on the sperm tests. DH had his first test done early dec and results showed a high count but low for everything else. He's since been on mega supplements and although they take 3 months to kick in, he's done a follow up test this week to see if there is any improvement. Results due in 2 wks. We decided not to wait the full 3 moths as gp said if they still come back low then they will look into our fertility further. So in a weird way we want them to be low so we can get into the system quicker. Smile

catlady87 · 22/01/2015 18:16

Hello. Found you all. No idea why but I just POAS. BFN, obviously, since AF not due til 27th. Sad

dojo123 · 22/01/2015 18:18

Disliking this tww and disliking this cold/flu.
Still no symptoms unless they are being disguised by illness.
CD21 9DPO 6 days until (fx) a BFP.

Going back to hide my head under the duvet. Sad

Marmite27 · 22/01/2015 18:25

So I've just entered all the data I have re:temps into FF and it's given me this graph.

I also use OPKs, they showed OV On Fri 17th. Any comments on the chart?

Jan Bus Take 4!!!!!!
PurdeyBirdie · 22/01/2015 18:28

Ruby, I meant to reply to your post yesterday but got waylaid. I am sorry you are feeling frustrated and are having some domestic issues (or did I read between the lines too much?) You shouldn't apologise for venting, you didn't offend or hurt anyone and I think it's important during this journey to have a place to really get stuff off your chest. If it's any consolation, my husband and I are just coming out of a major seismic relationship-rocker. We love each other and have a ten month-old baby to think of so we are moving forward. Remember to take time for each other during this often tricky TTC journey. We women have to shoulder most of the fertility and biological clock-ticking worries in our relationships with very few RL people to unburden ourselves to. Don't apologise, love Thanks

PurdeyBirdie · 22/01/2015 18:31

Yes, Marmite, yes I do have a comment about your chart: it is fecking beautiful and looks very much like my fantasy ones. What is your normal cycle length? Is this your first time temping? I LOVE CHARTS!

Marmite27 · 22/01/2015 18:31

dojo I know precisely how you feel! I have the lurgey too :(

I hope you feel better soon.

Argh! I've just re-read your info, Marmite. You need to tell FF the date you got your pos opk (didn't we discuss your photos and decided that Friday 16th was your true surge?) This would signal ov happened on CD17 and that matches the sustained temp rise from CD18.

Go and input your opk data and post the updated pic

Marmite27 · 22/01/2015 18:36

30 day cycle, started temping this cycle (C5), on CD5 because that was the first morning after the thermometer had arrived! All temps taken at 6.55am.

DH said he thought it was getting a bit obsessive with its arrival, but I told him I didn't want to go back on the pill and wanted to see how temping works and if it was reliable when getting pregnant wasn't an issue. All lies, I'm totally obsessed!

PurdeyBirdie · 22/01/2015 18:38

Double 'aargh'! Marmite, Friday was the 16th, not 17th, but was also CD16.

Marmite27 · 22/01/2015 18:39

Yes it was me with the photos, I'll go fiddle with ff some more, I only downloaded it tonight so still getting to grips with it!

babsbunny · 22/01/2015 18:40

Helllooo ladies. All aboard!
Oh yes, I just slept for 3 hours. So so good.. Why is daytime sleep worth so much more?

Pulpi good luck tonight! Well done for resisting the poas monsters in dhs absence!

PurdeyBirdie · 22/01/2015 18:42

Okay, so I believe you to be 5dpo after ovulating on CD17, with a luteal phase length of thirteen days, adding up to a 30-day cycle, yes?

Ignore DH's witterings. You spend far less time temping than he does scratching his balls.

PurdeyBirdie · 22/01/2015 18:44

Hello Babs! I love sleep, me. Which is why I am delighted to have a sleep-loving baby.

I'm off to bible study tonight at 7.30 so I'll check in later..ta-da! Smile

Marmite27 · 22/01/2015 18:50

Ok so I actually put the wrong CD 1 in, looking at this, it looks like the OPK and temp are in agreement.

We DTD at 11pm on the 16th, and 11am on the 17th. After reading the AI I made sure I org ashamed after the swimmers were in both times, and spent half an hour laid down with DHs pillow under my bum (so wasn't using mine lol). I was also taking 10ml benalyn mucus couh medicine morning and night CD14-18.

And currently crossing everything :)
