Thanks winterbaby.

Hope you get your bfp! Read loads of people don't get bfps till week after missed af so fx for you.

I'm cd27 today, which is my longest cycle since I've been counting them this last 6 months.

PurdeyBirdie · 24/01/2015 10:02

MrsE I am totes jealous of your brood. Many congrats on little baby girl to come. How old are you plse?

Congrats to Anna!

Back later...

Cariad2014 · 24/01/2015 10:07

Spinning - sorry AF arrived. Flowers Come join us on the February bus. As Trixie said yesterday, it HAS to be your turn to get that long overdue BFP of yours soon. Here's hoping February is OUR month.

MrsExtra - thanks for popping on to keep us updated. Glad the 20 week scan went well. Congrats on the fabulous girl news. You must be over the moon!

Congrats Anna - here's to a very happy and healthy nine months.

Rose - sorry you're still in limbo. I don't have PCOS and am no expert but I'm fairly sure that Butterflycats (who got her bfp earlier this month whilst waiting for some further tests) had PCOS and had managed to get herself referred for preliminary tests after only a small number of cycles ttc on the basis that she had PCOS and wasn't convinced she was ov'ing regularly. I'm fairly sure she mentioned something about the amount of time you have to wait before seeking help being different if you have a known condition that could impact your fertility such as PCOS. It might be worth pm'ing her/ having a google of the NHS guidelines.

spinningirl10 · 24/01/2015 10:14

Thanks Cariad, yes Feb is going to be our month GrinGrin

PurdeyBirdie · 24/01/2015 10:37

Maca Root & Fertility.

PurdeyBirdie · 24/01/2015 10:58

Rosebud, I think I've advised you before but apologies if I didn't make myself clear. 65-day cycles are not something you should have to put up with. Your body is struggling to ovulate and I suspect your PCOS has risen its ugly head again. Don't ask the GP for help..demand it. It's why you pay national insurance.

spinningirl10 · 24/01/2015 10:59

Cariad, I've pm'd you Grin

PurdeyBirdie · 24/01/2015 11:00

Ugh. That was bossy, wasn't it? Blush I just feel so angry when GPs expect women to tolerate their shrugs of indifference at their ludicrously-long cycles. It isn't normal and always points to a hormonal imbalance but because only a tiny minority of GPs have had any fertility education they don't give a crap. Don't put up with it.

Sparkly123 · 24/01/2015 11:19

Congrats Anna!!

Purdey I do love it!.. Can we take you to the GP office?? My dinosaur needs a firm hand I think?! Ha ha. Hope you are ok today! Not long until AI time...!

Nevlet · 24/01/2015 11:26

Morning! Congrats on all the BFPs the lasp few days! DP wants to test tomorrow at DPO 10... I am convinced we should wait till weds/thurs as dont want to see a negative. Had a massive wobble about whether to carry on TTC yesterday due to work issues but DP thinks we shouldnt let work get in the way of life, bless him.

PurdeyBirdie · 24/01/2015 12:08

I asked DH if he can manage masturbating four days on the trot this month so I can self-inseminate and he went like this: Shock so I went: Angry and he went: Smile and I went and had a few Biscuit Now I'm: Grin

dojo123 · 24/01/2015 12:09

Nevlet by the sounds of it you've got a very supportive husband and I think we need that when we go though our wobbly moments.
I am with you about not testing too soon though. I'm also due on Wednesday and after my BPN at the docs yesterday I want to wait until I have definitely missed my AF before testing. I would rather AF turned up than seeing a BPN.

PurdeyBirdie · 24/01/2015 12:11

Sparkly, unbeknown to DH I am also going to demand an extra syringe of spunk sperm. So..not quite SMEP but here's what I'll be doing (I ov on CD17): AI on CD 13, 15, 16, 17 and early CD18.

Homeboddy49 · 24/01/2015 12:22

Hi Sparkly
I haven't posted on here for a while as I've been really poorly but I wanted to say I'm so sorry that you are going through this.

Nobody can tell you when to start ttc again it's 100% up to you and when you feel ready. For me, I wanted to start straight away in the first cycle because it gave me something else to focus on.

I had bad lower abdominal cramps for weeks afterwards and I went to my go after two weeks of the mc about them. They offered me a scan just to make sure everything was ok and to put my mind at rest which I did and it was so helpful so if you haven't had one maybe this would make you feel better about the pain you are getting.

Anyway, just wanted to write. Keep asking questions xx

Sparkly123 · 24/01/2015 12:22

Purdey Grin love it. My dh isn't getting asked! Ha. In fact, I recall him saying the other day: "if we have to do eod all month that's what we will do"... That's a strong commitment there!!! Good luck with your plan, it looks tight! I'm gonna start OPKs today.

Dojo I'm with you on the waiting! Bfn ain't fun. BFP is where it's at! Even if it means waiting a couple days more!

Sparkly123 · 24/01/2015 12:27

Homeboddy thank you so much for posting. So sweet of you. I'm so sorry about your experience too. I went to the GP on Friday and she didn't offer a scan or say I needed one. It was sore when she was pressing too! But because they did an internal scan at the hosp (pre bleeding and intense pain) she said no cysts on ovaries so be fine just take painkillers? My dh says maybe it's just my bits and bobs trying to get ready and geared up again for this cycle? I have no idea. It's rubbish! But, like you, I feel so inclined to just start over again quickly. Did you try even when you had the cramps? That's my only concern. I am so sorry you are so unwell.. Are you getting better now? Sending Flowers

dojo123 · 24/01/2015 12:31

So excited, my new thermometer has just arrived (really must get a life Grin). So if it hasn't worked this month at least I can start charting my temps.
Just thought I would check my temp out of interest and it's 38.0. The penicillin is still battling the infection then but at least it's lower than it was at the docs yesterday.

MissMrsMummy · 24/01/2015 12:34

Morning all

Well done anna lovely news! Now did you manage to wait until 16dpo to test????? I'm in awe.

5dpo here.

babs it's getting quieter here, yes! I'll be around until the end though - can we share the back seat? I've got some chocolates left over from Christmas Grin bfp due 29th, when's yours?

Marmite27 · 24/01/2015 12:52

I need temp assistance!

I'm 7 DPO, no achy boobs as usual, and have some mild cramping and back ache. No spots now I come to think about it.

I had odd vivid dreams about driving and running a hotel/wedding venue in South Africa last night, no idea wtf that's all about!

I woke up an hour before my temp alarm. Dickered about wether to take temp for more than 5 mins. Took it, got 36.86.

Alarm went off 30 mins later, took it again 36.54.

Went back to sleep, woke up at half nine 2.5hrs later, 37.14.

No idea which one to use. I was awake before alarm yesterday but didn't test until the right time, so have a crap result yesterday too :(

Any comments?

Marmite27 · 24/01/2015 13:11

Sorry for my Shocking manors, I forgot to say please :(

Nomio230 · 24/01/2015 13:13

I am still around, but nothing to report. Day 2 of af. Hmm

Congratulations Anna!

Bovnydazzler · 24/01/2015 13:20

Morning all!
rosebud definitely go to your GP. My GP (NW england) referred me to Gyno straight away despite only having been trying approx 6 months because of long irregular cycles. I also already have a child. So don't let them fob you off like purdey said. The key test is the 21 day blood test but hard/impossible to get the timing right unless you temp (and get temperature rise) or get positive OPK as has to be 7 days before AF, I hadnt a clue. I was prescribed nonethisterone to bring on a cycle so they could do the day 3 blood tests (once cycle had gone 80+ days). However, although they shouldn't fob you off, I'd advise telling them you have been trying over a year (if under 35?), 6 months if not. Many docs will just tell you to wait rightly or wrongly. Let us know what the doc said, good luck.

Bovnydazzler · 24/01/2015 13:22

I have been to Holland and Barrett this morning. Not usually a fan of the shop, I'm generally of the opinion that 85% of supplements are a rip off and a way to make money. Anyway I've come back with the following selection (b vitamins brought only as they were on BOGOF with the EPO). Now I've got to research dosage for next cycle!

Bovnydazzler · 24/01/2015 13:24

Last post, promise.
I think the shop assistant thought I was a bit mad, I asked for 'coq10' pronounced 'cock 10'.... 'Err I think you may mean co enzyme q10' she said. Oops!

shinysparklythings · 24/01/2015 13:36

bonvy the cock 10 made me chuckle! :)
