Congratulations Milk!!

Boosk - Ovia had me to start this morning , so anything is possible, my boobs are still slightly sore when i feel them, other than that i don't feel different, just a slight headache, i had a feel and last night my cerivix was really low but today it feels like it has gone back up, i will see how things go but i will just presume that my af was mega short this month!!

victoria401 · 21/12/2014 14:09

rainy that happened to me last month, bright red blood for a day then nothing for 2, then fill on af. Had it a few times this year. No one seems to have an explanation for me. Hope you get some answers

boosk. This morning I was looking up spotting before af and stress was one factor. I seem to get that more when I'm really hopeful and symptom spotting. When we were going through tests and referral and I'd resigned myself to it not happening my cycles were regular and my spotting had vanished. This month after the doc seeing no reason why it wasn't happening and I got my hopes up again I had 5 days of spotting! Must be a link.

Milk, congratulationsGrin

Rainy, hope af stays away.

Apprentice final tonight, anyone else watching?

BeauticianNotMagician81 · 21/12/2014 19:41

I just wiped and had pinkish streaks in my cm. So it looks like I'm out. I plan on getting throughly pissed over Christmas now Hmm

Boosk · 21/12/2014 19:55

fx she stays away for you rainy or gets on with it so you'll know where you are at least.

I think stress is certainly a factor Victoria I've ovd at CD20 and then 17. My temps have also been wildly varied because I'm waking a lot in the night.

TMI alert!!! Anyone else get an upset stomach with af? Sorry for sharing, I just feel so ill with it and it would be nice to know I'm not alone (not that I wish you all to feel awful as well). I'm rambling sorry.

spinning thanks for the tip off, hadn't realised that was on tonight. Love the Apprentice!

BeauticianNotMagician81 · 21/12/2014 20:05

Boosk yes I often get an upset stomach with af. Today I've had a bug so it's severe but I do often get an off and gurgly tummy when the witch arrives.

tootsroots · 21/12/2014 21:57

Sorry for those who AF got.. at least you can have a drink now for Xmas - ching ching. I might have had a few too many last night ... and brie today! Anyone testing this week?

I have a question for the experts here, I got a static smily on the CB Dual opk yesterday morning, and a positive IC the day before and a neg today. Looks like my LH surges was the day before yesterday?

So.. what day post ov do i put down as both OVia and FF are mightily confused as my cycles is irregular and am on cd 27. SO they are showing i ov a week ago/ and the other removed any fertile days and no predicted af date.

I don't even know when Af is due myself so can't plan a test for then as its unknown.

So.. will test on maybe day 10 or 11? However, not sure when to start counting.

God i rambled. but i am confused.
Also planning on my drink avoidance strategy over the next two weeks. Any good tips?

Boosk · 21/12/2014 23:55

Thanks beautician for the reassurance, sorry you are suffering as well though. Hope you feel better soon.

Goodness toots that sounds confusing, I know it's possible to have the LH surge and not ovulate so your body gears up again with a second surge. You should of within 48 hrs of your positive opk but definitely not before. Are you temping? An increase in your baby is the only way to know for sure when/if you ovulated. Sorry if I'm just saying stuff you already know, hope it helps. If in doubt, dtd Wink

xBlueberry88x · 22/12/2014 02:28

Toots If you've put positive opks in they normally count the day after as day of ovulation. However when my cycle was being weird one month they didnt keep changing their minds! Temping would help you because after 3 days of temp rises they would confirm ovulation.

Boosk was it you who asked how im doing, I cant read back on my mobile without losing what im writing lol. Im doing good thanks no throwing up yet but bad stomach, tiredness and nausea all fun and games!

Sorry to everyone AF got hopefully we can end on a high!

spinningirl10 · 22/12/2014 06:53

Morning Grin

Beautician, sorry af is on the wayThanksWine

I'm 7dpo and the last 2 cycles since I've been temping I've had a temp dip today but today no dip. I've also had the same temp for 5 days now, it's usually more up and down. Anyone else had this? (And thermometer is working as I've taken temp at other times to check!)

spinningirl10 · 22/12/2014 07:30

Blueberry, nice to see you're still lurking and pleased to hear all is good with you. Will you be having an early scan or waiting for 12 weeks?

Frolicacid · 22/12/2014 08:14

High temps are good spinning. Fx for you Xmas Envy

boosk, I also get a bad tummy with af. I think it's the cramping that causes it. Lovely.

toots, that sounds confusing. I think that ovulation is usually 12-36 hours after the positive opk. I second whoever suggested temping, it's the only way to confirm ovulation. Did you have any ewcm, that might help you pin point more accurately. I hope you managed loads of dtd. Maybe test 11 days after the positive opk if you have Frer's. Good luck.

Happy Monday everyone. It's almost Christmas Xmas Smile

Frolicacid · 22/12/2014 08:15

Whoops spinning that Xmas Envy should have been Flowers

DastardlyDachshund · 22/12/2014 08:30

Sorry Boosk, couldn't help laughing when I read this: An increase in your baby is the only way to know for sure when/if you ovulated.

I suppose you are right though, you know you've ovulated if you've got an increase in your baby Xmas Wink.

Ok ladies, I need some advice. I am not a big drinker but bought a bottle to take over pils house when we visit Christmas Day, they know this. My question is, how do I now avoid drinking due to the BFP I got this morning? Xmas Grin

Mumwannabe82 · 22/12/2014 08:34

Morning everyone, also 7dpo and even though my temps have looked like the Pennines since ovulation today it shot right up by 0.4 which it's never done before! Just makes this TTC business even more of a mystery!!

Toots that does sound confusing but apparently you can ov up to 36 hours after a positive opk so other signs are the only real way of knowing the exact date and AF due anytime between 10 and 14 days after that which depends on how long your luteus phase normally is as the length of that phase doesnt change much unless you are taking something like epo or clomid etc. I hope ff figures it put soon for you xxxx Flowers

Mumwannabe82 · 22/12/2014 08:38

Haha Dastardly that really made me smile the way you just told us you got a bfp Xmas Grin many congratulations xxxx

What alcohol is it? I normally drink red wine so I reckon a secret bottle of ribena would be on the cards if I was in your situation lolol

DastardlyDachshund · 22/12/2014 08:47

Thank you Mumwannabe82. Unfortunately not only is it less easy too hide, but MIL likes to drink it too so that wouldn't work. I could 'forget' to bring it but now sure if she will have bought a bottle too as she was planning to. I have had a persistent cold for a few weeks now (presumably due to suppressed immune system caused by my extra Christmas present). Do you think I could get away with claiming to be on anti-biotics?

DastardlyDachshund · 22/12/2014 08:47

That should read not sure if she will have bought a bottle too.

Mumwannabe82 · 22/12/2014 09:05

Being on antibiotics would work a treat, but make sure you have an answer for any following questions so they won't suss it out! Maybe find a common illness that accompanies the cold and requires antibiotics!! I'm sure after a couple of glasses your mil won't notice anyway lol xx

DastardlyDachshund · 22/12/2014 09:11

Thanks, will probably say it has developed into a chest infection (not uncommon for me tbh) and had a dr's appointment today where I got the prescription for anti biotics. I'm only 11dpo so really early days yet. Not going to tell my husband yet (both test lines are faint so he won't see them due to man looking) but will get a digital which should be nicely positive by Christmas morning hopefully.
