That's so lovely of ur DH lulu :) I hope u get a gopd rest tonight too. When do u think u'll go on maternity leave?

Bless u Tori, sounds like uve been hit hard with pregnancy symptoms and pains!

Ducky u'll find u actually have more energy when the baby is born. Even tho u wont be getting a full nights sleep the sleep u do get is in blocks and u sleep deeper and aren't disturbed In that time. And also becomes more routine so ur body gets used to it :)

LuluJakey1 · 11/11/2014 22:55

I think I have been pretty lucky so far. Apart from that bit of bleeding about 13 weeks, I have been fine- very little morning sickness and really just tiredness which seems pretty common. Oh and that awful wind I had Blush and still have Blush

LuluJakey1 · 11/11/2014 23:01

Cupcake, I am hoping to hang on until the end of term, mid- December, but may not last until then. I have to admit last week was hard and this week is harder. I am not sleeping well and getting up for work is hard. Once I am there I am OK.

Have a scan on Thursday, so we will see what they say then about how he is doing. Is it good that he seems hyperactive? I do hope it is not a sign of things to come. Hmm

Bearsinmotion · 12/11/2014 09:45

I am off sick today with a horrible cold :(. However I am catching up on sleep :)

Saw the obstetrician yesterday, all seems to be going well. Only downside is she thinks I should wait for spontaneous labour rather induction so I'm a bit scared now Confused. I didn't experience labour pains at all last time, not sure I can cope with it. I have said I don't want to go beyond 40 weeks as it got so difficult last time, but there's still a strong chance he'll arrive of his own accord before then...

Ducky23 · 12/11/2014 10:13

In sure you would cope great bears Smile the pain gradually builds up so you get chance to get used to it at each stage and it's not constant, the feeling after a contraction is amazing.

Have you thought about hypno birthing? Think I'm going to try this Grin

OP posts:
Bearsinmotion · 12/11/2014 10:34

I'm not convinced about hypnobirthing! I do like the idea of a water birth, but that depends on whether my blood pressure goes up or not as I might need to be monitored all the way through. With DD it was medically managed the whole way through and it was all very calm and controlled. Spontaneous just seems so chaotic and I won't know what's going on, and I'm worried I'll be in too much pain to make decisions. Confused Hmm

Cupcake92 · 12/11/2014 10:36

That's good Lulu :) uve managed well so far!

Oh no bears hope u feel better soon :( and as Ducky said the contractions gradually build up, u do get used to it and it's not too bad. I Have a very tiny pain threshold, but I coped with the contractions :) I was quite surprised! U'll be okay if u want an epi just request as soon as u go to hospital.

Ducky id love to try this hypno birthing. If u do it u must let me know what it was like :) I'd love to do it.

Tori, if ur consultant led do they discourage a water birth?

I'm trying to get DS some wellies but he has small size 3 infant feet! And size 3 In wellie world is non Existant!

Ducky23 · 12/11/2014 17:07

I'm consultant led and high risk. Consultant has said no water birth but I love the room! Ha. My midwife has said that if all initial monitoring goes well and they are able to break my waters (they think they will be able to do this) then I should be ok to have a waterbirth. If they have to use other things to get labor going then I can't have a waterbirth. If they aren't 100% happy with initial monitoring or during monitoring there is something they aren't happy about they will send me straight for c sec Confused which scares me!

As I am going in to be induced though I should be able to get the room Smile but hopefully he will come just before then! Will be 37+4 for induction date.

34 weeks tomorrow Shock

Cupcake92 · 12/11/2014 17:55

Hmm Ducky Im not sure I'd be able to have a water birth then :(
I was told I'd have to be monitored through labour as I've had a previous csection and because of DS not moving last time I'd be monitored throughout labour next. I rele would like one tho! Will have think more into this when I finally get pg again! Grin

Hi 21! What CD are u on now?
I've just gone into my 2nd cycle after my miscarriage but all together we would have been trying 6 cycles too.

21questions · 12/11/2014 18:05

Hi cupcake just starting spotting today so I guess tomorrow will be cd1. I know its definitely af on the way I tested this morning BFN.

Sorry af got you too cupcake. What cd are you on now?

Ducky23 · 12/11/2014 18:17

Welcome back 21! Smile Sorry you have had an unsuccessful cycle. are you monitoring ov?

I would love to do water aswell cupcake especially as it's more private.

They said thy will monitor me initially for around an hour and see how it goes, if everything is good I should be allowed in the pool with monitoring (while in the pool) and some out. If I can't go in the pool though at least I can have the star lights on the roof! Ha Grin

Bet the hospital can't wait for this baby to be born! Most of the staff know me by name now! I'm back there Tuesday to see my consultant and have another scan

OP posts:
Cupcake92 · 12/11/2014 18:34

That's how my AF started 21. I knew it was AF as I had bfn too but I was on 18dpo! So I was so so late on. But I'm CD 2 now! :( how boring does CD 2 look?

Cupcake92 · 13/11/2014 18:37

Oh no Siarie :( I hope ur feeling better now!

It's been such a long day. I can't wait to go to bed and sleep!
I brought these Mr Kipling Gingerbread swirls today, they really remind me of Xmas! Taste of ginger and cinnamon, and also remind me of the ginger nut latès at Starbucks! Mmm yum yum! Going to eat some with a cup of tea once DS is in bed :)

Cupcake92 · 13/11/2014 22:35

Hope everyone is okayy xx

LuluJakey1 · 14/11/2014 00:03

I had another scan today. They reckon he weighs about 4lbs 6oz. That seems big to me for this stage but they said about normal. He looked very composed, looked like he had thumb in mouth. Then he began moving. Everything is fine. Bloods fine.

I have said I want to be active for as long as possible during labour- walking around. I don't want to be lying down on my back. I don't want a water birth and will have an epidural if the pain is too much. I am dreading it. DH says he thinks it will be exciting but is worried about me or the baby being in pain or distress. I am expecting him to get on my nerves. Smile

LuluJakey1 · 14/11/2014 00:10

We have got the names down to:
Guy
Charlie
Isaac
Joseph

Thinking of giving him the lot then he can choose! We just go round the houses.
