Just googled if dogs can detect pregnancy.

www.babycenter.com/404_can-pets-sense-pregnancy_1379572.bc

Sorry it says dogs are better than cats at detection.

CoffeeOne · 08/10/2014 20:42

Speaking of symptoms (7DPO and going nuts already) has anyone with more than one DC had different early symptoms in their pregnancies?

With DS I remember being (tmi) constipated and (tmi) excess CM at about this point. So now I think if those things don't happen then I'm not pregnant.

Frolicacid · 08/10/2014 20:43

Dogs are better? Yes!

Grin
Katybear123 · 08/10/2014 21:25

Quick q I can't remember if I took my epo this morning. I already take 3000mg should I take it and risk it being doubled or leave it? I'm cd12 expecting a high tomorrow on cbfm?

frolic only symptoms I have are waking up starving hungry (I normally can't bear to eat breakfast) and loads of creamy CM. I can't tell re cervical position I think it dropped hen risen again but still feels hard hmmm

Frolicacid · 08/10/2014 21:58

I've not tried feeling my cervix wanttobe. I do have lots of creamy cervical mucus.
I now have a dog in the bed, burrowed under the covers! However, I think it might be more to do with the massive thunderstorm we are having than pregnancy.

SomeSortOfDeliciousBiscuit · 08/10/2014 21:59

My cat tried to trip me up. Does that mean twins? Grin

I hate the 2ww. Hate it. Haaaaaaaate it. Just needed to get that out there.

Katybear123 · 08/10/2014 22:08

Frolicacid · 08/10/2014 22:15

Oh yes some! Defo twins!!
I HATE the 2ww as well.

I'm tired now - is it because it's 10 pm or because I must be pregnant?

I'm tired frolic. And feeling sick. After drinking orange juice. Which churned my stomach when I was expecting dd. Not symptom spotting --I am-

Boosk · 08/10/2014 22:33

Evening ladies, it's taken me ages to catch up on everything today.
Sorry AF arrived April Sad

I think I OD'd on B6 this morning, I went for 50mg first thing and by 11am I had horrible heart palpitations on and off for about 15 minutes. I downed three cups of water from the cooler at work to try and flush it out of my system and soon felt better. Anyone else get palpitations from B6 or was it just a coincidence? Perhaps I should have started gradually too?

PS frolic tiredness after 10pm = definitely preggars!!Smile

Frolicacid · 08/10/2014 22:36

Has anyone read any good fertility books?
Obviously, the dog under the covers and tiredness means I am pregnant, but I was wandering if anyone has any recommendations just in case I'm not.
There are a few free kindle ones which I will download, but I don't want to pay for something that turns out crap.

Frolic - my favourite fertility book has to be "Taking Charge of Your Fertility" by Toni Weschler. It reminds me a lot more of my A Level Biology textbooks, than some of the other fertility books I've bought (not that I'm obsessed) in that it has lots of charts and diagrams and the narrative is more factual than chatty. That having been said it's fabulous at teaching you how to temp, what your cervical mucus looks like at different stages in your cycle and where your cervix should be. In fact, I doubt there are many ttc questions that this book doesn't answer.

MaMaPo · 09/10/2014 02:28

Oh autumn, that really sucks. Your tears are welcome here, you don't need to slink away!

I haaaate the tww as well! Even if I'm madly symptom spotting there's nothing happening. I'm hungry, but I'm doing 5:2 and it's a fast day so that's not unusual.

Taking solace from the fact that I didn't get any symptoms with last bfp until about 4-5 days after AF was due (tingling nipples and weird vivid dreams, if anyone cares). And even then I didn't test for another few days! (back in the days when I wasn't obsessed, obviously!)
