Sperm and Wee

Just wanted to know something. Once dh delivers his sperm to me and I stay with legs in air for about 20 minutes, after I normally like to go for a wee. Obviously sperm comes out but I don't understand how people say spem lives for up to 5 days when you "wee" it out?

Sorry if being thick!!!

I find quite a lot falls out. Maybe I am doing it wrong despite DD being conceived at first unprotected intercourse. And it is still coming out next morning.

I thought that most of it came back out but a small quantity (as mb reminds us only 1 sperm out of 300 000 required) went the other way.

It prob is semen, or vaginal lubrication, that has got into the surrounding area .

the sperm swim up but the liquid they're 'delivered in' tends to slide out yes. that what you notice when you wee

A lot comes out of me when I stand up - I too find it hard to beleive that anything up there has manged to get anywhere before befalling the fate of gravity.

Also just told DP he makes 1-2 thousand sperm a second and pointed out that must be why he is always so tired...

and most of what you see isn't sperm, it is seminal fluid....sugars and citric acid, and enzymes and all sorts of stuff that prepares the sperm and gives them energy for the trip they are about to take.

Another mind blowing detail. What you release every month is not a fully mature egg. It only finishes its process of maturity if it is fertilised. Amazing stuff!

Flossam - glad I'm not the only one. Glad I asked now as I thought I had a serious problem with ttc! I sometimes wondered how on earth I am going to get preggers when it all falls away but now I know!
