Sunbathing I used soft cups for the first time last month as well. I was a bit apprehensive about them as they look huge but was really surprised at how easy they were to get in and out and also how comfy they were. It's definitely worth giving them a try.

Dreamingoutloud · 19/09/2014 13:43

Af has arrived so this month we can start ttc Grin
It came a bit later than expected so moves my bfp to 28th October, luckily I should still ov when we're on holiday which would be perfect timing.
Sorry to hear about your adenomyosis sunbathing, yay to being positive though!
Have fun today Dozygirl, a day at the zoo sounds fun!
aprilray good luck with your results.

Happy Friday everyone!!

Dreaming, sorry af has arrived. Good luck this cycle.

Dozy, that must be difficult, I agree that if you get upset it could make the situation worse. Would he go to the docs?

Sunbathing, we can symptom spot together! My dp said last night he wants a rest from dtdGrin

xBlueberry88x · 19/09/2014 16:01

Afternoon Ladies,

Spinning Im a letting agent so I deal with contractors quite a lot you learn some tricks. I had to fib a bit and tell them we had some lower offers but wanted to go with them so what could they do for us lol. Owning a house costs a lot but I cant wait to have it the way I want it! You can borrow my outfit any time lol worth buying one it really works lol

Christies sorry AF arrived! Its always worth dtd over a wide space of time we usually start when AF buggers of every other day and then every day from just before positive opk for a week. Are you using opks to narrow down when your ovulating?

Broody SNAP!! lol it is a lot of money but its about what I expected.

Dozy it might mean that your have a shorter luteal phase than the 'normal' 14 days. ID love a holiday but we went to Las Vegas a couple of years ago and travelled across france spain and italy for 6 weeks so weve spent a lot on holidays lol.

Terrys We dtd last night did this morning instead slacking already lol but we both fell asleep as soon as we went to bed. Every other day is more than enough but after 18 months im determined to do it more!

Genni Get a few quotes and then play them off each other! Its the best way, often people who want your business will go out of there way to get it.
Also worth asking lots of people who they used and if they were good, word of mouth is handy sometimes.

MrsE men are incapable of dealing with illness as well as women do I never have sympathy for my dp lol

CD 12 today still waiting for positive opk but I normall get it CD 12 or 13 so we shall see. Doing pretty well with dtd and hope to carry on all week if we can. Feeling a bit twingy today so hopefully thats my ovaries waking up lol

Dozygirl · 19/09/2014 16:39

Thanks girls :)
Sunbathing i always start if with a bj until he's about to 'finish' then I jump right on but he loses it even in that time. Doesn't lose the erection just the feeling of being able to finish and then I get too knackered. He doesn't take any meds, is an active sporty person. He use to smoke lots of weed when he was younger way before I met him so I don't know of that's effecting him still. He does love his beer tho. Have tried to get him to just drink at the weekend but he always has to have 1or 2 beers a night. Even if he manages not to have a beer he'll have a whiskey before bed. He performed well on Monday and Tuesday but I really wanted it to work yesterday so I'd have been well covered even though not had a positive opk. Fingers crossed I'll be able to work my magic tonight or in the morning.

xBlueberry88x · 19/09/2014 16:53

Dozy Be careful with bjs etc anything with saliva involved as it kills sperm! Just so you know...we dont do anything like that during the fertile period just in case.

Dozygirl · 19/09/2014 17:23

I never knew that. How does it kill sperm?

TheProofIsInThePudding · 19/09/2014 17:50

Terrys whenever I see your username I keep thinking about chocolate oranges!

Dreaming looks like you are in a similar position to me - cycle 1, due around the same time.

Dozy alcohol definitely affects sexual function. What about DTD earlier in the evening or in the morning, then he could still have a drink later on before going to bed?

Aprilray · 19/09/2014 18:13

Yay, it's the weekend!
So, all my results are absolutely fine which is obviously very reassuring, had a really good chat about everything and basically just need to keep plodding away....was kind of hoping she would wave a magic wand and reveal something I could do to make things happen sooner.
CD11 and DH is away this weekend but don't expect to ov for another week.

Dreamingoutloud great that ov time falls when you are on holiday!

Dozy that sounds tough, it is hard enough sometimes without extra obstacles. Hopefully you can encourage your DH along to the GP. Remember though lots of people have got their BFP from just DTD once.

lucieloos · 19/09/2014 18:36

That's great news April! What tests did you have altogether?

xBlueberry88x · 19/09/2014 20:53

Not sure dozy its the same with some lubes

Jessica85 · 19/09/2014 20:56

Hi all, sorry I've been away so long. Been a bit unwell, unable to dtd, but not had a positive opk yet or a temp rise so hopefully I'm just having a long cycle and still have time for an October bfp!

Going back to read the thread, but just did a quick search of sperm and saliva and found an actual research paper saying it reduces motility.

Aprilray · 19/09/2014 21:23

Lucie, I had a fertility scan with antral follicule count and then the AMH blood test and also another blood test 'to assess functionality of the ovaries and reproductive system'. I can have a tubal test if I want to rule out any blockages but going to see how the next cycle or two go first...

lucieloos · 19/09/2014 21:26

Thanks April do you know what the other blood test was called? I want to make sure I get all the necessary tests. I have been wondering if they will do an antral follicle count on my scan. I'm not sure though they said it's an initial scan to check the health of the ovaries and uterine cavity.

Aprilray · 19/09/2014 21:44

It just says 'other female hormones' on the site... The results had my LH and oestrogen levels. I get a report so will see if it includes everything else.
I'm sure they will do, I imagine the scans are pretty much the same from one clinic to the next. You can always ask - the guy was counting mine while doing it, was very odd!

I am pleased to announce dh and I have finally DTD!!!! GrinWineGrinWineGrin boy I thought it was never gonna happen this month. It bloody well hurt like hell but that must be a good thing as I'm prime ov obviously! Wink Hoping for my full smily tomorrow but I had a very strong line this morning on a flashy.

'Twas ds's bday today. Can't believe 3 years ago I was screaming down the phone at dh exactly at this time of night to get home quickly I was pushing!!! Ds was born at 11.50, dh made it with just a few minutes to spare. Ds is such a gorgeous chap. I'm hoping his bday is lucky conception wise. My dd was conceived on my eldest ds's first bday. And come to think of it ds2 was conceived on dds 2nd bday. it's a lucky day I tell you Grin

MrsExtraOrdinary · 19/09/2014 23:33

And ds1 was conceived on my birthday! So all in all birthdays must be luckyGrin

Morning Grin

Jessica, sorry to hear you've been unwell.

April, yay for your test results!

Sunbathing, haha, last cycle was the only time I haven't poas. We'll have to try and hold back together.

MrsE, woohoo for dtd. Oops that came up as std, that definitely wouldn't be woohoo!! Pleased your ds enjoyed his birthday.

I'm up too early for a Saturday, and I've had a rubbish nights sleep. My German student had gone to London for the weekend with the company who had organised his trip here, lots of German students were meeting there. He's only gone on the wrong weekend!!!!! So there were frantic late night phone calls and a coach to organise, he got home at 5am!

Have a good weekend ladies, anyone doing anything nice?

MrsExtraOrdinary · 20/09/2014 07:31

Morning spinning, well I'm up pretty early too, but actually had a good nights sleep I have told dh more sex equals a happier MrsE

I'm taking littlest ds ballet dancing this morning!! Smile It's his first lesson. I used to take dd when she was tiny to do babies ballet, but that was about 12 years ago. Having only had 3 boys ever since I simply haven't pushed it. But ds loves dancing and music and singing so what the hell. Grin

spinningirl10 · 20/09/2014 07:40

Aww MrsE, hope ds enjoys ballet and good to hear you're feeling happierGrin

Dp has just gone off to work and said that he's going to check out the holiday rota at work and hopefully me and him can have a week away before Christmas!!
