I know it's early but I had a month off in September. Here is October's bus! :)

All aboard the spooky train!

Hi ladies, hopping on my first busSmile

Dreamingoutloud, 27, ttc#1, cycle 1, bfp due 15th October.

MrsGingerbread · 17/09/2014 11:18

Hello ladies,

MrsE sorry that you and dh are not getting on (remember I am reading with a lag, hope all is improved by the time you read this

Purple so sorry to see you back here, but you are most welcome. Have you had a bfn? (I didn't think to test for one which caused me some confusion after my mc).

I love all of the due date planning! Someone on Facebook has just announced a pregnancy (another one) due in April. Is that an early announcement?

Question... Every one seems to be targeting dtd daily. We can't do that, biologically every other day seems the most we can dtd. Anyone else have similar?

Cd9 here, no smiley yet on my new cb test sticks, but we are ready and waiting! :)

Thepurplegiraffe · 17/09/2014 11:27

Thank you Gingerbread the EPU did a urine and blood test and I am most definitely no longer pregnant. I am obviously very disappointed but partly relieved that if it was going to happen it was early and straightforward. Hopefully that means we can crack on again as soon as possible.

From what I have read it is recommended to dtd every other day when ttc so hopefully that should be enough?

Thanks sunbathing, I'll give them a call and ask.
No I use the sticks that give a smiley face when positive or an empty circle if not. Hope you get your peak soon.

Aprilray · 17/09/2014 12:20

Blueberry I am quite relieved I was unaware as I would have been more anxious, it was fine though I was glad when it was over.

Allatonce I try to resist calculating what my due date would be but fail….. I am keeping 17 June 2015 free for now Grin

Chandlers when I finally see a baby (or 2!) in there I will be a blubbery mess!

Good news re the smiley face Spinning!

Welcome aboard Dreamingoutloud

MrsG DH and I struggle with every day and even with every other day when we start too early. We DTD loads last month (had a week off work) and were gutted not to get a BFP....going to just DTD when we feel like it this cycle until +OPK and then do the sperm meets egg plan - FX

MrsG, we just dtd when dp's up for it!! This cycle there's been no stopping himGrin he's currently in the shower so we can dtd.....just got the strongest line I've ever had on an ic opk!

Jackiebrambles · 17/09/2014 13:32

Afternoon all!
I was reading about the SMEP last night. Not sure we've got the stamina for it with work plus a DS who still wakes in the night sometimes (although he slept through last night from 7.45 til I had to wake him at 7am this morning!).

Last cycle we tried to target DTD around ov time, but I didn't get a + opk so we just DTD when I had EWCM.

This month I think we will try EOD from CD8, plus maybe extra if I see EWCM and/or get a + opk. I think DH thought we'd get pregnant easily so he's a bit more commited to the 'breeding programme' (as he calls it!) this month!

Thank blueberry I have so many questions about coeliacs that I didn't think to ask when I was with my Dr. I'm going to have to make another appointment with him for q's!
If I have got it I've probably had it for at least the last 10 years so when I was ttc #3 it wasn't being managed so I'm hoping that's why she was so hard to conceive. Clutching at straws I know but I want to believe that was the reason and this time it'll be plain sailing.....

In other news. ...I'm still waiting for af to arrive so we can actually make a start on this new ttc journey. DP is raring to go and can't wait to start all the extra dtd. I bet he'll be begging for mercy a cycle or 2 inGrin

spinningirl10 · 17/09/2014 14:56

MrsE, you're quiet today, hope you're ok.

Blueberry, have you had a +opk yet?

Dtd, softcup in, even managed to use some conceive plusGrin I'm wondering if the soy gave me such a strong positive. Getting twinges in my left ovary area so maybe the egg is on it's way!

ChandlersFarang · 17/09/2014 16:08

Jackie I love the 'breeding programme'... Brilliant.

Spinning that is all sounding super positive! The soy is having a really impressive impact on here isn't it, what with Kitty's BFP, MrsE's shorter cycles and your super OPK and ov pains. Fab stuff, really hope this works for you!! Smile

gennibugs · 17/09/2014 16:09

Hello all!

work is being a pain in the butt and keeping me from coming on here! tsk.

spinning sounds like this cycle has got off to a good start. Wink your blood test needs to be 7 days before your predicted period ideally, if that helps.

Sorry to the people who have had to join from September. purple sorry to read your news.

mrsE hope you've patched thing up. Your friend sounds awesome!!

We tried to dtd every day one month and by the time it got to around ov we were fed up. I was dreaming of just getting into bed with a book and a cuppa with my old lady pjs lol.

We aim for EOD now but thanks to our stressful jobs which often involve us staying late even that is tricky. We normally give up around cd16 then I spend the rest of the cycle obsessing over whether we stopped too early.
Though DH rashly suggested dtd daily yesterday from cd 8 to cd 20 as he's just had enough now.

gennibugs · 17/09/2014 16:11

sunbathing I've had 9 days of high fertility and got my peak on the 10th day - which was just as well as I refused to buy another pack if it went past day 10! Smile fx you get your peak tomorrow.

Haha - I'm looking forward to a break too I must say from the regimented ttc dtd.

I'm going to brave ic opks next month I think as to date the cbs haven't worked their magic and they are pretty pricy!

Thepurplegiraffe · 17/09/2014 16:43

I think we will probably just aim and fail to do eod until my af returns. No idea when it is worth starting though, feel a bit all over the place.

spinningirl10 · 17/09/2014 16:45

Yay for the positive opk sunbathing!

Genni, good luck with all that dtdWink

Dp has just said we'll have another go later and keep going for a few days. I showed him my opk line, even he was impressedGrin

Dozygirl · 17/09/2014 18:24

Not had a positive yet on IC opks. Does everyone get them? Is it only for one day that u get a positive? Anyone got a pic of what their positive looked like?
I want to dtd every day but can barely get DP to do it eod at the best of times. As first two cycles didn't work I figured it was because we didn't dtd enough or on the right day but I didn't use any opks so could only go off dates of period.
Hoping for a positive opk soon!

spinningirl10 · 17/09/2014 18:24

Haha sunbathing, they're so clueless! My dp thinks I'm pregnant after this afternoons dtdGrin

spinningirl10 · 17/09/2014 18:27

Dozy, my ic line today was the same colour as the control line! First time it's been that dark in 12 months of using them. Usually when it gets to a certain colour I pee on a cb and confirm with a smiley face just to be sureGrin

TheProofIsInThePudding · 17/09/2014 18:39

I'm feeling a bit sorry for myself with a very mild, but highly irritating, cold today plus general time of the month stuff. DH had it last week (the cold not AF!) - I am very glad that it'll have gone by the time we need to DTD!

The world of OPKs is a mystery to me! Good luck to everyone using them.

Illiria · 17/09/2014 18:40

Well yesterday I felt like bleh, after waking up every hour the night before I was super nauseated all afternoon and had lots of stabby pains (ovulation?) but IC OPKs have been negative. Also really teary for unknown reason.

But we managed to dtd last night so maybe if it was. We are going to EOD this month and keep going till the end rather than stopping when we think it happened.

My IC have increased a bit two days ago but not equal to the control line, could I have missed the surge?
