Quick q next month I am starting to use cbfm, will this tell me have ovulated or do I need to temp to?

AF arrived here, 2 days earlier than I thought so only had 24 day cycle. Feeling pretty shit about it but ho-hum.

Katy - I can't help with that but I have ordered myself one too so will be listening to any advice that follows with great interest.

Katy - why don't you do both , use the cbfm and temp , least that way you are getting a better picture of what is going on, I am trying to find a basal thermometer that is not online and have only seen digital thermometers , don't know if this would work just as well x

MrsB, you poor thing. One of mother Nature's cruel jokes is to fuck up some cycles after an mc-as if it isn't hard enough! Hopefully, this AF will be like your "spring clean" and you'll have a perfect cycle for September

katy the CBFM won't confirm ovulation, no. Only temps or blood tests will do that. angela is spot on: I'd do both! buba normal digital thermometers won't work I'm afraid. They really need to be to 2 decimal places as the differences are so small xxx

Thanks kitty and english. Good to know it seems I am ovulating. Will know a bit more what to expect next month. And kitty you're 100% right about needing to dtd more - I really hurt my back on CD15 this cycle, hence rapid end to Dtd! More next cycle.

Well it's CD37-38 and no AF. Just used my only clearblue digital and it was bfn! Pretty stark seeing it written out as well :( I just wonder if I ovulated late so everything is just a bit delayed - if I did, that would only put me at around 6dpo so...and I have so many symptoms as well. If I'm feeling this sick/hungry/tired/stomach twinges/creamy white CM - surely that has to count for something?! Argh!

Magrat, how long have previous cycles been? This must be so frustrating for you! It's horrible to get AF and know you're not pregnant, but at least you know you can plan for the coming cycle and get to try again. You're in such limbo at the moment, aren't you. It really sucks. Fingers crossed for a BFP soon, or at least AF so you know where you stand.

Kitty I can't quite work out how I missed it, I'm so sorry, felt like a complete idiot last night. There's been so much going in I just didn't read the August bus back for the last few days. My excuses are I finally got my mortgage! Whoop! So the family home beckons. We've been dtd so much I even threw on a corset and been doing tandem nudc with Pikz. Took my soy at night just like you so not long now before the testing starts Had an earlier smily by about 3 days on cb and masses of ewcm. It definitely made a difference even if we haven't hit the jack pot. Carried on dtd way after ov in case it was just a surge. Even had my tarot cards read...pregnancy imminent apparently. For once it does feel like it's all coming together for us as a family.

I'm so thrilled for you. I started the bus at Christmas so I've been on the whole journey with you. Now I completely get that phobia of toilets. You could ask for an early scan? In the end that's what I did last time as I was a paranoid fruit loop after ttc for 2 years post mc. Don't wear any fluffy red jumpers you'll give yourself a heart attack. What day passed ov did you get your bfp?

Aw kitty - the toilet phobia I totally get and I think a lot of people do.

I had an early mc the month before I got pg with DS and so when I fell pg the next month was terrified to go!

I definitely won't be putting myself through a 12 week wait again for a scan. I'm going to pay the £70-£100 I think it is around our area for a private scan at 7 weeks.

What's a little bit of money for peace of mind and our sanity!

I was a good girl you will be proud of me I waited to test until 15dpo. Even used a green plastic cup a la Penis Dragon styleee Glad I waited coz I used an ic first and even though the dye took a while to even out, saw a clear line so went straight for a FRER and the line got to be as dark as the control! Next up was a CB Digi and then I started to relax.

Had my first GP appointment (different doctor to the one i had before) this morning to ease fears and they gave me a urine test. Have also been booked in for Blood test next Tuesday. The NHS seem to be looking after me well so far!

These buses and other threads on Conception really are a lifeline for many of us and I really couldn't have done this without all of you to keep me company through the highs and lows. MrsE you are the funniest, realistic, caring, experienced, knowledgable, supportive and amazing poster and your BFP is just around the corner xxx

Indeed I'm very proud of 15dpo! You deserve a medal. These days after I got over my internet cheapie addiction, I'm just about ok to wait until 14dpo but it's after that, the f-Ing limbo the bimbo which turns me into a neurotic crazed psychopath! I'm quite rational until then! Lol

Kitty thanks for tip on thermometer I didn't know they had to b 2 decimal points. Does anyone have 1 they can recommend? I bought 1 on internet for cycle 1 but it was only had 1 decimal point I stopped using as hubbie thought it was all a little scientific and put him off his stride!

12dpo and bfn again this morning. Temps are still up and still lots of white creamy cm but no other symptoms.
I'll be gutted if i'm out this month as dtd lots around ovulation, but already planning what i'll do differently next cycle if needed. I'll still take evo but i'll take more cough syrup (I only had a teaspoon in the mornings), pink grapefruit juice and use conception lube, as I only had brief ewcm, so i'm focusing on that to improve on.
There have to be more bfps on the dwindling list awaiting news!
