Here is the amazon link:

I've ordered it today as today is 12th month of trying after having AF. Has anyone used it or interested in using it? I like how it works it all out for you as I don't want to spend all that time stressing over learning how to chart myself. You poas when it tells you and insert the stick into the machine and it interprets it for you. Gives you a few high chance days and then the lh surge days. Measures oestrogen and lh. Also can test for pregnancy. You can input when you dtd too and a light and alarm can remind you.

I really like gadgets and technology anyway. If it works I don't care how much it costs. Anyone have any experience with it already? I don't think it's been put long.

Hi all :-)

I've been using this monitor all month and I'm not sure whether I've got a duff one or it's not very accurate?! I've had nothing but lows all month. However mumsnet sent me the clearblue dual ovulation stick thingy (technical term :-p) to test after I had already bought this and that's given me highs since day 16 and a peak today. Double checked with a ic opk (because its not possible to pee on too many sticks!) and that's positive too. I'm very confused because I thought the advanced monitor was supposed to be the best but even if it didn't pick up the peak I should have at least had a high? Anyone else had this problem?

squirre1 · 05/09/2014 18:19

Should have mentioned I'm on day 23 now. I'm almost out of sticks!

Foxtrot7459 · 05/09/2014 19:41

I'm secretly hoping that my CBFM is giving me dodgy results! High readings from day 6 then peak on cd19. Would have expected it around 13-15. Didn't dtd anywhere around the peak as had exhausted DH out with trying to do it eod on highs! Only time will tell I guess. If I get AF in the next 7-8 days it will have been wrong, if it takes 12 days plus to arrive it was right and if I'm pregnant it was definetly wrong!

First cycle using it and have to take into account my messed up cycles after mc.... will wait and see!

Foxtrot7459 · 05/09/2014 19:42

Oh and I read that after a peak the machine will auto give you another peak, followed by high and then a low, so since first peak I've just fed it the same stick, had the second peak, high today and anticipate low tomorrow. At least I've saved three sticks - seems a bit of a con really.

Ladyboluna · 10/09/2014 10:25

Hi all, sorry I haven't posted for a while but been busy and had a lot going on.

So my cycle is completely different to this month (2nd using it). I only had 1 low day when I tested on day 6 (last month I had at least 3), then 2 highs, then 2 peaks, then 1 high, then low again. And I had peaks 3-4 days sooner than last month. Hoping this is good as last month I ov'ed less than 2 weeks before AF came, so perhaps more time for a ferilised egg to implant before the b*tch arrives?

I missed two tests deliberately - last month as soon as I had had my peak and then one high it stopped asking for tests. Once I had a low reading after the peak I didn't see the point of ordering another box just for two more tests which were going to be low... naughty me!

Hoping that AF doesn't come now so I don't have to buy another box... would be sod's law if this month we get our BFP after forking out for another box of sticks (and using some too)!

I've got one more pregnancy test for the CBFM. On the 2ww now I guess. Who else is joining me?

And yes chunder, chocolate and wine!

Ladyboluna · 10/09/2014 10:26

Foxtrot is that true? Same stick and it just auto the results? That's a bit of a con yeah. At least it tells you when you ov, but still.

Hi ladies cd11 here been poas since cd6 all low so far. I guess that's pretty normal? My ovia app reckons 2 mo I hit my fertile window so let's see what the fertility monitor does :-)

lucygooo · 10/09/2014 20:28

Hi Ladyboluna and Foxtrot, 2ww for me too, AF due on Monday.

It's been my first month using the cbfm and I am a bit disappointed tbh - got highs every day since day 8, but no peak so it just kept asking me for sticks until I'd got through 20 of them - last stick today and it automatically switched to low. I did do them all as I read the monitor 'learns' your cycles so hopefully it will ask for a lot less next month (assuming I am not preg!)

It annoys me because the machine is obviously programmed to give a certain pattern of results, so as I didn't get a peak it felt like a bit of a waste of time this month. No idea whether I ov'd or when, but I wore DH out after the first week of highs (just like you Foxtrot!) so if I ov'd late I missed it!

Really hoping next month is better and the machine gives me a peak!

Foxtrot7459 · 10/09/2014 21:23

CD27 for me - after peak I kept feeding the machine the same stick and got peak, high, low, low then missed the 20th day. No sign of AF, last cycle was 27 days but before that is was 35 after mc. Not getting excited yet as if machine was correct in identifying my peak then I have no chance of bfp. On the plus side at least it will improve my faith in it!

Next month I think I will wait til peak before I jump DH - that or at least have a few days go highs before jumping him as don't want to peak early again!!

Ladyboluna · 10/09/2014 21:50

I think if you don't get a peak it means it hasn't detected the oving hormone. either you haven't ovulated that month or the Cbfm has missed it or you only had a short burst.

Hi all, sorry I've not posted for a while. Had the period from hell then been waiting to start testing again-first test tomorrow this month, cd9.

Feeling very disheartened in general about it all. This will be month 9, which I k ow isn't long compared to some but it's really getting me down Sad Found out an old friend is pregnant and found it so hard to congratulate her. I am pleased for her, bit so Sad. for me and DH. Also going to a BBQ with some of DHs mates at the weekend where there will be another newly announced pregnant lady.

Have had a really tough week with work, issues with re mortgaging the house and then BIL who is staying with us at the most ruined a washload of my clothes by washing them at 80 degrees followed by tumble drying for 3.5hours....so all in all, a totally shit time....sorry for moaning. Need to pick myself up and carry on but all seeming a bit much at the most.

Hope you guys have been having better luck!

OlderMummy1 · 12/09/2014 06:54

Sorry to gatecrash your thread but I saw it in the Active Threads.

I am a veteran user of the CBFM when it first came out. We had had 3 years of unexplained fertility when I started using it. I got my peaks for the first 6 cycles but no BFP.

On my next cycle I got my peak in the morning as usual. My husband was already at work and was going to be leaving for a conference just before I got home . Desperate not to miss a peak opportunity I told him to er....leave his deposit in a pot before he went, which he did after much moaning. I dashed home and inserted it myself using a syringe. Imagine my shock at getting my first BFP that month. It ended in early miscarriage sadly but the next month we thought we'd try the DIY artificial insemination again - another BFP!! All in all I had 4 miscarriages and then 2 babies and got pregnant every month we did DIY insemination. My fertility doctor said that maybe my mucus was a bit hostile but the syringe deposited the sperm in a better place or that maybe my cervix was at a difficult angle for the sperm to get to.

Anyway, again sorry for the hijack, just thought my story might be useful especially when you are just so sick of DTD that you need a 'night off' but can't afford to.

Good luck ladies!!!!! X

Katybear123 · 12/09/2014 08:33

Hi older mummy thanks for tip v useful not sure how dh would feel but needs must Wink

Chander sorry u r having a rubbish time. I think this could b ur lucky month.

Foxtrot7459 · 12/09/2014 19:03

Peak or high katybear ??

If it's peak you need to dtd everyday, high for eod - good luck!

Katybear123 · 12/09/2014 19:22

Foxtrot7459 · 14/09/2014 09:40

AF got me yesterday - very very light but here and slightly heavier today. I've re-set my cycle on CBFM and it wants me to test from day 9 this month. Fingers crossed it's a lucky one!

Katybear123 · 14/09/2014 10:03

Ooh poo for foxtrot next 1 will b ur lucky on. X

chundercatsarego · 14/09/2014 10:26

Thanks for the sympathy guys Smile

Sorry for those who AF have got....fx for this month.

CD11 today and got a high! First high was cd20 last month!!! God knows what's going on, so glad I've got this little bit of kit!

Went to BBQ yesterday and was designated driver which was clocked by one of dhs mates who then announced at the top of his voice that I must be pregnant, cue lots of awkward denials and people not believing us Angry

Threw up 4 times this morning for no apparent reason either... so seems I have the hassle of being pregnant but no bloody pregnancy!

Foxtrot7459 · 14/09/2014 10:41

I feel for you chunder

Having experienced mc I will never again ask anyone when they are having a baby or speculating until I am told - you just don't know what is going on in people's lives and so many of these questions are damn insensitive.

I play netball and have had a knee injury for about 5 months now which meant I couldn't/still can't play. The pregnancy speculation was immense not just behind my back but to my face - worst part was that it was at its worst just when I had mc. One day I will tell them all and am sure they will regret it.

Hope you feel better soon x

NowWhatSoWhat · 14/09/2014 11:11

First cycle using this monitor. Got low on first day it asked me to test (day 6) then high every day since (16 days in a row). Worried I'll run out of sticks before I get a chance to get a peak. My cycle has been 36 days recently. Any ideas?
I'm guessing this monitor gets more accurate by cycle 2 or 3 ?

Katybear123 · 14/09/2014 22:14

Hey foxtrot and chander I feel ur pain. Foxtrot I to play netball and with it being beginning of season captain asked if anyone had issues commiting to season. At which point someone pipes up well we might get some pregnancies and another says yeah and looks and be and asks 'don't u want kids'. Took all effort I has to say in fucking trying now back off!!!! People r so bloody insensitive!

Katybear123 · 14/09/2014 22:16

Hey now what so this is first cycle for me monitor got hi on cd 13 and have since I'm pretty sure stuff is going on as I get cramps till u ovulate and this fits time wise.

I have head the first cycle the monitor is trying to get to know u so I guess that might b y the hi's for u

Ladyboluna · 16/09/2014 12:36

So according to monitor AF is due in 2 days, did a test and it was negative so I don't have any hopes for this month.

Now it's 14 months of trying. Booked in to going to the GP on Friday. Really depressed about it now. Going to see whether it's safe for me to have anything for that too as it's on my mind all the time now, every day. I was optimistic every month until I hit the 12 month mark and now it's devastating. Sad

Katybear123 · 16/09/2014 18:07

Hi lady do sorry to hear u feel fine defo head to the dr's and see what they can do at 14 months I think anyone would understand u bring fed up.

In Katybear land cd17 and a peak. So overly excited. Dh been out dunce crack of dawn with work do need him home for dtd!

Quick q we will dtd today and tomoz as high days do folk then carry on the following day on a high and then eod until bk to low?

Foxtrot7459 · 16/09/2014 19:30

katybear

After two peaks you will auto get one more high then a low. I think they say to dtd on both peaks then leave it a day and then do it once more for luck!
