Thanks everyone, goin to buy some more tests after work to take in the morning before I tell my partner just to be on safe side don't want to get his hopes up, hope everyone gets the bfp they're hoping for soon x

Me624 · 15/08/2014 13:39

Hope AF stays away for you Siarie! I haven't really done much ttc research and I've heard of the luteal phase and that having a short one is bad but I don't really get it all - is it that if you ov late in your cycle the egg doesn't have a chance to implant before AF starts?

Me624 · 15/08/2014 13:41

Oh no cupcake Sad the pain might just be from the bruising?

Ducky23 · 15/08/2014 14:15

Hi my! Good luck! Grin

Ohhh cupcake Hmm wouldn't it be low it it was affecting baby? Maybe try the private scan? That might put your mind at rest, two weeks is a long wait x

lillamyy1 · 15/08/2014 14:47

Cupcake I'm so sorry, I can't imagine how worrying and stressful it is for you. I've got everything crossed that baby grows ThanksThanks Thanks
Congrats on the wriggly baby boys, Lulu and Bears! How exciting!!!
And massive congrats on the BFPs Michelle and Kismac!

Unfortunately I haven't been enjoying the first week after my BFP very much. I've been feeling soooooo sick and I broke down in tears to my boss earlier because if I feel as shit as I do today for the next 2+ months I'm not going to be able to work. And he's got to lay loads of teachers off after sept 8th because the student numbers are going to drop. He said that he won't drop me because I'm sick, only if I start teaching shit lessons (not in those words obv) but I'm not very hopeful. Sad

Siarie · 15/08/2014 15:08

Me So last cycle It was 22/23 days ovulated on CD16 which only left 8/9 days for the luteal phase which isn't long enough for implantation to really kick in enough hormones to stop your body having AF.

I'd like to see a return of my 28 day average cycle again, this is my second cycle post birth control so :)

LuluJakey1 · 15/08/2014 15:09

Cupcake I hope the pain stops. If it is a pain rather than a bruising feeling, I think you should go to the hospital again. It is all so worrying.

Did you report the accident to the police? You should and there might be CCTV footage of the car who didn't stop after the accident.

Congratulations on the BFPs ladies and good luck with the scan Me.

DH has gone out for a bike ride with his cycling pal. I am sitting in the garden with a cup of tea in the sun. Have two spots and am hoping the sun gets rid of them. I never get spots.

Siarie · 15/08/2014 15:10

Oh Lilamy go to your doctor and ask for anti sickness pills. I had the worst time between week 5 and 6 in my last pregnancy (although don't have any children, wasn't the right time) but I hear the pill they give you really works for sickness.

lillamyy1 · 15/08/2014 15:22

I didn't know there was such a thing as an anti-morning sickness pill! I'll definitely have to find out about that.
Cupcake, Lulu's right, you should definitely report those bastards to the police!

iamdivergent · 15/08/2014 15:41

I had the sickness pull from week 8 until week 40 Wink Grin it stopped me actually being sick but still felt queasy though x

Lulu I hae had AWFUL skin for weeks now and I usually have quite good skin Confused

Did you report it to your insurer cupcake?

Ducky23 · 15/08/2014 15:51

Wow the thread has moved fast today Grin

lillamyy1 · 15/08/2014 15:55

Just spoke to doc on phone but said they can't prescribe unless I'm actually being sick. As it is, I just feel like being sick but haven't been yet. Eurgh. Have read that pyridoxine is good for morning sickness though and have some of that left from treating pmt so going to give it a go...

Ducky23 · 15/08/2014 16:00

Maybe speak to a pharmacist lil? I got some and I wasn't actually being sick, they said they also stop nausea Smile

lillamyy1 · 15/08/2014 16:57

What's the stuff you got called? Been trying to research but can only find info about drugs in the US.

Ducky23 · 15/08/2014 17:06

I have no idea if it works cus I didn't take it in the end but I just looked and it was called cyclizine 50mg

Cupcake92 · 15/08/2014 17:23

Pain went after about 5 mins. Think I'm just worrying too much. I did report them to the police and they are going to check if there is any CCTV around that point.
I hope there is! I've been told that I should claim compensation as I've been injured. But obv I need to know who did it.
If I booked a private scan for end of next week would much have grown in a week?

Ducky23 · 15/08/2014 17:26

I'm nt too sure cupcake but I thought they usual rescan after a week to check growth? (Only think that based on reading threads on here)

Hopefully the pain going is a good sign

Cupcake92 · 15/08/2014 17:45

Oo I don't know :s
Think ill just wait till the 2 weeks. Then if it is growing it should have grown enough to see heartbeat :)

Me624 · 15/08/2014 18:34

DH convinced me to POAS when I got home from work ... bfn. No AF yet, so we'll see, but I'm probably out for this month.

Michelle51012 · 15/08/2014 18:49

Thanks everyone, just read back what happened to u cupcake hope everything goes ok for u, fx for u me, I done a different brand test I had in the drawer when I got in from work (couldn't help myself) & got another faint positive, I bought another 2 pack of the superdrug ones as they're ment to be really sensitive so take 1 in morning with first pee hopefully get a stronger result

Cupcake92 · 15/08/2014 19:47

Not out till AF shows Me :) fx!

And thanks Michelle :) how exciting about ur bfp! Congrats!

My boobs are aching so bad tonight. Must be a good sign lol!

LuluJakey1 · 15/08/2014 19:58

DH has come in tonight with a drum. He was walking through the village after buying some milk and in the music shop saw a little drum. Thought it would be just the thing for the baby. Is he totally mad? He said it was that or a small tambourine. or perhaps he could have not bought a musical instrument for a baby that isn't due until 4th January

Me624 · 15/08/2014 19:59

I know I'm not technically out yet but it should be showing by now if I was! I should have waited and not tested! Ah well
