Thanks everyone Smile I'm really happy but trying not to get too excited as it's such early days.

Lulu, I've taken charcoal tablets for wind in the past - I used to get it really badly before I realised I was allergic to gluten. Just found this link (to another link Confused) babyandbump.momtastic.com/pregnancy-third-trimester/289141-found-charcoal-tablet-you-can-take-pregnancy.html

I feel your pain - I've had bad constipation that's made me windy. That was one of the things that made me suspicious, apart from having painful and swollen boobs!! I looked at them this morning and thought, "hmmm Hmm... could it be.....?"

lillamyy1 · 11/08/2014 22:19

If I get bad wind I'm going to use the opportunity to get back at DP for all the parps he subjects me to! Mwah ha haaaa Wink
He tends to either somehow manage to aim them at my head (he's tall and I'm short, so he can swivel round on tiptoes and push my head towards his bum) and he often lets out a trumpet-like PRARP out form under the duvet in the mornings as I'm getting ready for work. Aaah, true love... Hmm

Cupcake92 · 11/08/2014 22:25

Hahaha lilla!!!! That sounds like my DH without a doubt!!!!!!

As for the gluten, half my family have celiacs disease, I've not actually been tested yet! Though my doctor tells me nearly everytime I see them to get tested. My DS was also tested for it as he lost a lot of weight at one point and never ate much. But he was okay he doesn't have it atm.
I lovvvvvveeee gluten free biscuits! Much better than the normal ones.

bradders85 · 11/08/2014 22:45

congratulations Lilla! :-)

21questions · 11/08/2014 23:23

Congrats lillamay Smile lovely news.

LuluJakey1 · 11/08/2014 23:55

I am in the spare room. I have been in bed since 10.15pm. It is now 11.55pm and I have counted 47 'episodes' of wind. Blush

Where is it all coming from? Shock

Ducky23 · 12/08/2014 06:47

Hahahaha lulu GrinGrinGrin your counting trumps to get to sleep? Grin

steph1204 · 12/08/2014 07:48

Congratulations lil!!!! I'm so impressed by the success of this thread!! Keep going ladies!

Cupcake92 · 12/08/2014 07:56

Oh dear lulu Grin
Hopefully it'll soon stop!

I'm so exhausted today. DS never slept again. Was up at 12am and have been up and down all night. Unfortunately I think he's teething again :(

Siarie · 12/08/2014 08:03

Cupcake oh no I hate when I'm tired, it's not like you can even perk yourself up with coffee :/

I know it's not the same but my cat puked at 5.30am! but I'm feeling really energetic this morning. I'm crazy hungry going to opt for a blow out breakfast although I feel kind of queasy.

I was tested for gluten but it came back negative however I can't eat it without looking five months pregnant lol.

Cupcake92 · 12/08/2014 09:09

Oh no! Cat sick yuck! Oh I wouldn't have liked to clean that up :/
I'm hungry too, DS stole my toast of me when I was in the kitchen getting a drink. Haha!
But I have Krispy Kreme doughnuts and I don't care how bad it is but I'm gonna eat one! :D

Siarie could it be ibs? I know that makes u bloated a lot from good etc.

LuluJakey1 · 12/08/2014 09:21

Ha Ha Ducky- like the counting trumps. Grin It seems to have calmed down a lot- although not entirely stopped yet. The spare room windows have been wide open. DH brought me a cup of tea and left quickly pulling a face and opening the windows.

I know what it is! On Sunday night I was hungry and I found a small container of vegetable soup I had made and frozen months ago. I heated it up and ate it. I bet that is it. It had lots of barley and green veg in it.

Hope DS feels better Cupcake and you get some sleep. Oh for a Krispy Kreme doughnut! I have never had one but always lust after them when I pass the shop. I am scared to but them once because I know it would be the start of a habit.

I am going shopping today by myself in town. I might look at baby clothes- not to buy, just a look.

Cupcake92 · 12/08/2014 10:02

Thanks lulu.
As for the doughnuts I hardly ever had them as the closest place to do them was Birmingham so if I wanted them id have to travel all the way over there! So I never had them much at all! BUT!! Tesco are now doing them!!!!! :D and for me Tesco is 10 minutes away! Haha! I know I'll be there all the time throughout this pregnancy!

Me624 · 12/08/2014 15:19

Lulu you should stay away from the Krispy Kremes - you are totally right that if you try one you'll never go back!! Though some of their concoctions are so sickly!

Argh ladies the 2ww is really dragging. DH is getting excited about the possibility of a bfp as well which isn't really helping, he thinks that because we dtd loads this month it'll be our month but I told him it's not like that! At least I have a really busy day at work tomorrow with loads of meetings to help pass the time!

Cupcake92 · 12/08/2014 15:31

Good luck Me :) really do hope this is ur month! Keeping my fx for u!
When are u going to test?

Me624 · 12/08/2014 15:41

Thanks cupcake, this is such a supportive thread and really helps! AF is due Saturday I think, but it's not exact so I think I'll try and wait until around Monday to test if AF hasn't turned up before then.

lillamyy1 · 12/08/2014 15:46

Fx me!

lillamyy1 · 12/08/2014 15:51

Anyone know about zero hour contracts and mat leave? And should I tell my boss already? I was looking for another job but is it a good idea to start at a new [place when pg? Also maybe best to be somewhere supportive which my place is... but so stressful and I'm sick of it! Should I talk to my HR Dept this early? What if they sack me?! I'm such a worrier Confused
I probably got my BFP because I've been preoccupied thinking about work and trying to find a new job... it always seems to happen when you're not giving it too much thought!

lillamyy1 · 12/08/2014 15:52

Also, a bit disappointed that DP isn't as excited as me. He's just watching X Men and is irritated that I want cuddles!

LuluJakey1 · 12/08/2014 16:17

Lilla I thought you were a teacher or am I confusing you with someone else? If you are, I would wait until Sept or your 12 week scan to tell them.

If you aren't I would still wait. It is very early days and you have until 20 odd weeks to tell them.

Sorry, I don't know about different contracts but I bet someone here does.

Ducky23 · 12/08/2014 16:20

Lil, I think it depends on your contract, I don't know how they would work it out, cus with mine it's 90% of my wage 15 weeks before the due date or some crazy shit like that and I have to have been working there for 26 weeks to qualify. If not id just be paid smp. You have to notify your employer by week 15 (I think ) maybe hae a chat with hr, they can't sack you for being pg as that's discrimination and you can take them to tribunal for that, it may put your mind at rest to speak to them Smile sorry not much help but employment isn't my area!

Fingers crossed me!! Grin

poppet85 · 12/08/2014 16:36

Yeah ducky right smp is worked out on earning 15 weeks ( or something like that !!) !and you have to be in the job 26 weeks to qualify . If you dont qualify for smp you get maternity allowence . I wanted a new job but got pregnant so just getting on with it loving taking time of for appointments !! Plus I'll use my holiday to extend mat leave and use it to look for another job !!. On zero hour you still acrew holiday which might be handy ?

Cupcake92 · 12/08/2014 16:57

With my job it's 0 hour contract and I got maternity allowance not smp as I didn't qualify as I started that job at 24 weeks pregnant haha. But I had a very good wage from my last job and ended up getting a decent maternity allowance as they go by the wages from the job u were at the longest. I was impressed by my maternity allowance. I won't get hardly any this time round as my wages aren't that great any more.

Ducky23 · 12/08/2014 17:02

Yea I wanted a new job and found one but if I applied it would mess up my maternity Hmm I only have anther 8 weeks before I go off as I haven't taken any annual leave this year. Sounds mad because I have hardly been in work this year (had mat leave then sick after dd) and I get time off for my appts Grin

LuluJakey1 · 12/08/2014 17:45

Has KitKat been around? I have not heard from her since before I went to France. Hope she is OK.
