We've had a few BFPs so far this month but we want (and deserve) more! One last thread to finish off July in style!

Morning ladies!

The problem with buying tests is that we live in a community where everybody knows everybody. There is a local shop selling them cheap, but the chances of me running into someone I know are too big. The next town that sells the cheap tests also has many people I know...
I think that in a 10 mile radius, the chances of running into someone are at least 50% wherever I go. And as I don't have a car (well, DH does, but he needs it for work), I can't easily get out of the area to buy them! Very annoying!!!

Congratulations Misty! Smile

Bit wobbly here. Been feeling really weepy, and then realised that was probably PMT, (which made me a bit more weepy). Temp dropped this morning and feel distinctly like AF might arrive today.

Colleague talking about how her pregnancy was a complete accident is not helping...... Envy I don't like feeling jealous. Funny all the emotions this TTC lark brings up.

Of to Turkey with kids today for a week. About 5 dpo today and my breasts are really hurting especially the nipples. Taking 3 tests with me but will just try to get on with things and forget about it as much as possible . If this would ever work for me without help I'd be amazed . Last month's lines on the tests really upset me though they gave me hope and then completely crushed me so hoping that won't happen again.
Congrats on the recent BFPs and sorry about AFs arriving and people being in limbo and about your uti detective !

Thanks Cpt, fx, I think I will try and wait until Saturday to test, that's when AF is due and I will have the house to myself and won't have to rush off to work afterwards. I should get a good idea from my temps by then too.

Fatty, why don't you stock up on a supply of ICs from amazon that's what I do.

Oooo dilemma! I'm cd18 today and had thought I was 3-4 days post ov. But just had quite a bad pain on way home from school run and now loads of ewcm! I haven't been testing ov so was going by last months cycle length. They are erratic cycles, but testing for ov daily just caused huge arguments for me and dh. Because dh couldn't stand the pressure to perform. So obviously I need to dtd again to be sure. But can you get ewcm after conception?! More likely it's just a bit later than I thought!

Oh Detective you poor thing! You must be in so much discomfort. Hope you feel better soon!

Well, I've just come back from the most pointless emergency GP appointment. My doctor heard me for about 2 minutes, looked at my chart and said he doesn't hold much stock with BBTs and it could mean anything. I am to test again in a week and in the meantime 'try to relax'.
I'm supposed to have a 10 minute appointment and I was ushered out in less than 5. Didn't even ask for a urine test.
Not sure if this has any bearing, but he is about late 50s and from Bangladesh (from website) and he made a comment about my age and 'this is the problem with career women waiting longer these days'.

Feel like crap to be honest!

No idea MrsExtraOrdinary, sorry but I've heard others say here that it can last later into the cycle.

What a horrible doctor KittyVonCatsington!!! It's so hard when you're there to push for what you want, I'm rubbish in appointments. Perhaps try a nurse they tend to listen much better :(

mrse I can't remember from my previous pregnancies but when people give their stats increased cm is usually a symptom but think more creamy than ew. Don't tell dh what you suspect and just pounce first chance you get :)

nordic have a lovely holiday. Try to leave those hpt in your suitcase.

janey it's not over until AF shows. AF signs and pg signs can be v.similar. Fx for you.

kurama good luck at the drs.

fatty internet shopping is the way to go. I live in a small town and ran into the biggest gossip around while I was holding ov tests. She mustn't have noticed though as I've not been congratulated yet!

Think I'll hold off buying hpt until AF due or late (yeah right!)

Morning all.

nordic happy holidays. enjoy the break.

kitty don't feel bad. The doctor was obvs an insensitive oaf! I'm the same age as you and so are many others in similar situations. I would maybe give it a few days then book in with another doctor or nurse. I've found each doctor I've seen to be so different in terms of advice and approach. its so hard when you're in there though I know.

mrse could it be delayed ov? I think that's what happened to me last month, body geared up, didn't ov then did a week later. By that stage dh and I had both had enough and we managed a half hearted attempt at dtd! i would dtd just in case! Smile

Kitty that's fucking appalling treatment!! He is not paid to give moral or value judgements on his patients thank you very much. Do as others say and make a complaint to the surgery and then ask to see a nurse. I'd be so fucking angry!!! Shock

He's on his way home soon so jumping will be obligatory! Wink

Kitty that's horrid for you. I've had a nasty experience similar to Linda's once where a dr decided I'd had my allocation of dc. I was 28 at the time and recently divorced so I wanted to keep my options firmly open. I get very cross about drs thinking they have the right to pronounce and judge other peoples lives. Please ignore him completely. When you go back next time ask to see a lady dr. You may I say may get a more sympathetic response. How many days post ov are you now do you think?

Going back 12 years when i was getting a bfn continually thinking I must be pg, I don't think I actually went to the dr. I just sat it out and kept testing. Mind you I didn't know anyone then. Don't think mn had been invented. Thank goodness we have each other to lean on.

So just to update I'm now 6dpo although FF says 5, but I'm certain I ovulated the day before due to pains and change in CM.

Anyway today I woke up completely tired, I slept until 10am with my alarm going off at 8:30. Tired! Just have to get through this week so I can test.

Sorry to hear anyone who has got a BFN I've been out this weekend so I have only just had a chance to catch up.

Oh Kitty what an unhelpful Dr!! I'm guessing he made you feel like he was wasting his time? You didn't and that says more about him than you that he would treat you like that. I guess maybe wait a few days and if still nothing then book an appointment with a female Dr. And if she isn't helpful straight away then cry and tell her how it's affecting your life. Then they have to do something.

Fatigue is a good sign Saire!

Thanks for all the messages ladies. I should have said something there and then but was a bit shocked and sad to be honest!
FF says I'm 19dpo but if I go by my one dip below coverline, I could be 15dpo.

After having no symptoms for past two days, my boobs are suddenly super sore. Maybe, just maybe AF is coming. For once, I bloody hope so!

Oh well, first day of school holidays so will try to enjoy myself. Come on Kitty, you can get through this!

Kitty it's so hard to say anything there and then though, I've had drs be useless like that a couple of times and you're expecting them to be helpful so you're totally shocked by what they actually say/do and it's not until later that you wish you'd said a load of stuff to them.

Nordic I hope you have a fabulous holiday and manage to not think too much about the hpts lurking in your case...and then I hope you get a BFP when you eventually do one.

MrsE get your cape on and pounce on DH the second he walks through the door! Wink

Siarie tiredness is a good sign! Fx!

So, I'm 6dpo and today I had a tiny amount of brown in my cm. I've been feeling nauseous and achey all morning and I've been exhausted for the past couple of days. I've also got cramps today on the left hand side, which is the side I think I ovulated from this month. Trying not to think too much about it, and I'm actually doing a much better job than I did last month. The acheyness feels flu-like, so I might actually just be coming down with something.

Amazon isn't very helpful to me, as I have to pay postage that is quite high (especially when compared to the cost of the tests). Online shops over here don't really offer free postage, except when you order totals up to a certain amount. Sad

Ladies, I'm so confused and I keep symptom spotting even though I know it only leads to misery!

I've been having cramps since Friday night now, and today I've got quite a lot of creamy CM and feel slightly sick. I know these are all usual pre-af signs (due next Monday) but it's killing me. My temps are also all over the place, though likely because I wake up at strange times. A couple of years ago I had some cysts and am worried the pain could signal their return.

I actually found af arriving last month quite a relief as it meant an end to symptom spotting!

Rant over xxx
