I was looking on the first response early result site and it has a calculator so you can work out how early you can test.

Except its lying - or the tests are!! My last period was 26th June. It says I can test from 22nd July. Bollocks! My period is due 24th July!! I should be able to test 6 days before that surely . It's got my cycle length (28 days) and ovulation date (14 days) and yet it's still giving me the same fecking results.

I also read the leaflet in the box. It says if your period is due 21st you can test from the 16th. Except that's still not 6 days before your period is due. It's 5.

Ok. I've got the rage with first response!! Don't mess with this hormone ridden woman! Give me a fecking straight answer!!!

When can I bloody test from!!!

Oh. Also. While I'm at it. My nipples are tender. And boobs feel a tad heavy. Those were my first symptoms last time. I never get sore boobs. Eeeeek!

morning everyone. i did 2 ic's and a tesco test today and the 2 ic's were faint bfp and the tesco isnt so faint. the tesco ones are 20miu and the internet cheapies are 10miu

thedetective you should be able to test from today then by the dates on the leaflet unless ive worked it out wrong. the tests as far as i know are 6 days before you miss af. so its 5 days before af is due i think not sure tho but hopefully someone else knows

Detective - the reason why testing early - even as early as the test say is not necessarily reliable is that you may implant late. In which case you will then have to wait 2/3 days for hcg levels to rise.
Technically 9dpo is the average date most women implant but I can be as late as 12dpo. If that's the case a test may not show positive until15dpo.
Try not to get stressed about it

I second Englishs advice there Detective as I'm hoping I implanted late which is why at 14dpo I got a BFN. I'm 17dpo now with no AF and a bbt of 37.23. Although it was bloody hot in our bedroom-even with the rain! Going to POAS tomorrow morning after taking my bbt temp. It's strange though. I just don't feel pregnant!

Congratulations theone ! how many dpo are you? The lines may get darker every 48 hours but it certainly sounds like you are pregnant! Have you got any pics? We love lines, however faint

Morning kitty and all you lovely ladies. Kitty I'm still puzzled about dc3 and the fact I didn't get a bfp for about 7 wks. Yet they still calculated the edd from the original date. I would say it must have been later than anticipated as he ended up being officially 10 days late. None of my others have been that late at all. They've all arrived fairly close to their due date. I think sometimes our bodies just do bizarre things that can't be explained. So on that occasion my lmp was 28th June, didn't get a bfp until August. I was only using clear blues though 12 yrs ago when I wasn't aware of blue dye issues I think that's why I decided testing early was pointless for me.

I had a really really vivid dream last night POAS and getting a positive, my dream test even read 'pregnant 18 days' which is about right since I'm 4dpo today, and dream me came straight onto this thread to tell you all....I do love a good pregnancy dream.

I'm 14dpo and got another bfn this morning. Af is due Monday or tomorrow maybe. Got my friends wedding today and I'm going to get drunk.

Anyone else due to POAS today? I'm mid in 2ww and I hate it, feel a bit crampy and desperately trying not to symptom spot! I'm also worried as I've been taking my temps this week since Monday (to try and get into the routine for next cycle) and my temps are way lower than the normal post ovulation temps should be. Whinny makes me think either I didn't ovulate (though no pre-ovulation date temps to compare to) or either that my temps are on average lower than most people, which I read can indicate thyroid issues (which could make sense as I'm often tired and am fatter than I should be given that I eat healthily and walk around 2 hours a day). Thyroid issues can apparently affect your fertility, so either way I think it's not great news I might try and talk to my doctor soon... though it's a right royal pain trying to get an appointment!

My sister had her abortion yesterday afternoon, she seemed to be feel in ok when we spoke in the evening. She's coming to stay today, can't wait to hug her tight. Right, must stop rambling! Xx

notoast- I have 16 temps above the coverline now, (4dpo dipped just below coverline. FF says my chart is possibly triphasic as since 12dpo, temps have jumped to above 37 degrees. I am either pregnant, haven't ovulated despite chart, OPKs and CM or I have some dodgy medical issue. I know which one I want it to be!!!

Kitty I'm pretty sure I read in The Oracle that having three phases of temps is a very good sign indeed! Will go check for you soon x

Oh and WRT your temps, everyone is different. For example, your pre ov temps may only be .1 of a difference to the pre-ic so not as low as you fear. What matters is seeing a clear pattern before and after. Definitely chart for a month or two, before taking them to a GP to get checked out.

Kitty The Oracle says: "If you notice a third level of temperatures beyond the typical biphasic pattern you experience every cycle, you are almost certainly pregnant. This third level of high temperatures is thought to be due to the extra progesterone circulating in pregnant women"

I'm ok, really, just hoping that she is and that she is happy with her choice. I'm just worried that if we get a BFP it might be hard for her - though she did say to me "I wish it was you who got pregnant!" so maybe not xx
