11days isn't too short to sustain a healthy pregnancy, sweetie. It will happen for you. Deep breaths and try not to worry although I know it's easier said than done

Treaclepie19 · 07/07/2014 21:12

Sometimes it has been 9/10 :(
You're right though, I just need to go to bed and stop worrying!

Thanks kitty, as always :p

Thanks for the warm welcome. Do any of you you use ovulation sticks? I have tried them for a couple of cycles but have never once had a positive result from one.

cinnamongreyhound · 07/07/2014 21:27

Thanks for the thread Treaclepie19. I'm going to hang around to see how everyone gets on even though I'm out for this month if no one minds!

sparkle17 · 07/07/2014 21:51

Thanks for the new thread Treacle Hoping af stays away for you. Hope you sleep well tonight.

Hope the bleeding means good things for you Kitty

I love the pics of the booties Lauran so cute.

When I'm at the shops I sometime walk really slowly past the baby clothes but feel a fraud if I stop for too long unless I am buying a present for someone.

Been away at the tour de france at the weekend. An amazing experience and got some DTD in as well. I am so pleased dh is really interested in trying at the right times. I really thought he would be freaking out loads. I got positive on opk on fri and pains so I guess i maybe ovulated on Saturday and that makes me 2dpo. Might DTD again tonight for good measure although we are both quite tired.

Hi lauran! Shock I'm not here really! Still working would you believe?? Just in the process of making a pair of curtains, to fit a 6 metre wide window, 3.5 metre drop, it's soooooo heavy! I'm determined to actually go in this holiday so probably will be a few late nights Wink

BrixtonBunny · 08/07/2014 06:18

Laurano that's reassuring to hear - maybe I'll start temping tomorrow then (missed the boat today!). Does it have to be the exact same time each day, or just when you wake up?

Treaclepie19 · 08/07/2014 06:48

BFN :(
And a temp drop, not below my cover line yet. I was up at 4 though wide awake and then back to sleep. Don't know if that affected it.

Hi MamaLazarou
Lots of people on this bus use ovulation sticks (OPK) to catch the LH surge that tells us we might be ovulating soon. I know you haven't had a miscarriage but I really recommend reading the Sperm Meets Egg Plan Here
The main principle is that we often stop DTD too early as we assume ovulation has happened, when in fact mother nature can surprise us!
A lot of us also check our basal body temp (BBT) in addition to OPKs. This cycle, I had two LH surges and if I hadn't temped, I wouldn't have known and therefore kept DTD (fingers crossed for me!!)

As for which OPK to use, I used ClearBlue digital OPKs for about 4 months but my body doesn't really play ball and it was too expensive using two months worth of sticks in one cycle. Last two cycles I have used internet cheapie (ic) OPKs called OneStep and they have worked perfectly for me for the fraction of the price. I tend to test between lunchtime and 5 o 'clock if it's a work day.

Finally, have you tried fertility lube? There are three main ones, Balance Activ (from Boots) PreSeed and Conceive Plus. They provide a much nicer environment for the sperm to live in and helps us DTD even if egg white cervical mucus (EWCM) has run out.

Sorry for the essay and sorry if you know this already Grin

In Kittyworld, my temp went up today to 36.73 Smile

spinningirl10 · 08/07/2014 06:49

MorningGrin

Treacle have you poas yet?

MrsE, yes you have to go on this holiday!! What a massive pair of curtains, hope you get everything finished on time.

Mamalaz. A lot of us use opks, I use twice a day, approx midday and 5pm as its easy to miss the surge! Amazon have cheap opks (ic's) which I use until the line gets dark then I use a cb one which has a smiley face when positive. I know now that I I've on cd 10/11 so don't have to poas daily but if you're still not sure when you ov I think it's recommended to test from cd8 ish.

spinningirl10 · 08/07/2014 06:50

Ah x post with kitty, fab reply as always kittyGrin

KittyVonCatsington · 08/07/2014 06:51

Of course that affected it Treacle!! Try not to panic my lovely. I know you got your BFP 11dpo before but you may have implanted on a different day this cycle and therefore get your BFP later. You have been having very encouraging signs, so don't lose hope yet xxx
If you are not successful this cycle, I just have this feeling that us teachers will hit the jackpot on the August bus anyway due to NO stresses from work.
Try not to worry today and just see what happens.

spinningirl10 · 08/07/2014 06:52

Oh Treacle, sorry you got a bfn, fx you're bodies playing tricks and your bfp will be here in the next couple of daysThanks

KittyVonCatsington · 08/07/2014 06:53

Why thank you spinning Grin

Treaclepie19 · 08/07/2014 06:55
