Laurano, we're flying into Venice and hiring a car and touring Italy for 2 weeks, can't waitGrin

spinningirl10 · 06/07/2014 13:51

Oh and Lauran, dtd again tonight just in case! I'm hoping to dtd later, one for luck as they sayGrin

KittyVonCatsington · 06/07/2014 14:11

You'd be surprised Treacle Last cycle I ovulated on CD18 and got AF on CD31 (usually get it cd30/31 pre mc) which gave me a 13 day LP instead of 11 that I normally get (or 14 if you count day of AF). AF came when it was due, but I got a longer LP. Same might happen to you.
I would expect you to have a similar cycle length as you normally do, with a longer lp, rather than a shorter cycle to allow for only an lp of 11 dpo, as you ovulated at the normal time. Does that make sense?

Treaclepie19 · 06/07/2014 14:41

That does make sense and I hope it'swhat happens :)

I've been optimistic before about ovulating earlier though and then af has come 10 days after still making my cycle shorter.

I am shattered. Havent done much but still. Don't think DH is happy as I've asked him to cut the grass, hoover and clean the bathroom. I've only washed up and done the washing.
Fair? :p

Teadrinkerandatinker · 06/07/2014 14:52

Ovulation apps never worked for me i tried every single one

cinnamongreyhound · 06/07/2014 15:25

I've used opk's because of the obsessing side of it but I will if I get the clear blue trial ones. Be good to know that the pain and cm are accurate though :)

laurano81 · 06/07/2014 15:55

Thanks Ladies...still nothing thankfully! It's just when you see any form of blood, you expect the worse case scenario! I am 3 dpo today. I did an opk & it was neg, so fx I am just a sensitive creature. Grin I wonder if it that I ovulated from the left this month! x I just gotta hang in there! x

Kitty I have no symptoms either! Fx that is a good sign! I lay in bed this morning & thought to myself that we really have given it our all! I kinda feel mentally drained from it! I thought to myself could we continue doing the same thing every cycle until I get a BFP! Don't get me wrong! I'm not complaining about DTD! Grin It is just the thought that it didn't work, that scares me x

Misty I use FF & Glow on my phone. Glow changes the day of ovulation according to the info I put in, & it gives a %chance of getting pregnant on each day of your fertile period. It records temps, cm & there is also success stories. I find it really good x

Spinning Oh it sounds lush! Hehe Grin x Wouldn't it be so romantic to get a BFP in Italy! x

Best of luck laurano81 fx for you this month & for everyone else too. I will keep an eye on this post & hopeto see some BFP soon. Xx

Thanks everyone for your kind words...i just feel really down at the minute.
Dh is doing the sbu35 ultra marathon & is out training most of the week...i dont mind at all but its me having to deal with housework, kids homework, meals & i work full time myself. I am knackerd!!!
We just dont seem to get on anymore, cant agree on anything & just simple thing like where to go on holiday has caused an arguement. I give up!
Il just keep plodding along as i always do, i guess. Xx

spinningirl10 · 06/07/2014 17:12

Oh 1more, it sounds like you could definitely do with spending more time together, maybe a weekend away would do you both good?

Misty, everything now seems linkable to fb, I would be gutted if my ov apps ended up on my fb feed!! I've been using them for nearly a year though and I haven't had any problems with that.

Lauran, yes it would be fabulous to get my bfp in ItalyGrin

KittyVonCatsington · 06/07/2014 17:41

Loving all this talk of holidays. Sounds like what we all need! Have already decided that I'm going to ditch all the TTC paraphernalia over summer and not worry about drinking re temps. I can always pick them up again in Sept. Being a teacher, there is the feeling of a fresh start then. secretly hoping it won't be an issue anyway

EnglishGirlsReturned · 06/07/2014 18:14

I'm good thanks Kitty - patiently waiting to start dtd. Hopefully I'll get a -tive hpt by wednesday (2weeks post erpc).

Survived baby shower today - 2 additional preggo ladies and all sorts of baby chat. But I made it out, no tears or sad thoughts. I will be a mummy one day!!

MrsVonBlack13 · 06/07/2014 18:21

laura I can very much relate to the chocolate! And why the hell not is what I say! I'll be looking out for you on here and I hope to see your bfp ASAP!!!

rainbow woohoo your a mummy!!!!

KittyVonCatsington · 06/07/2014 18:23

Jesus English you are a stronger woman than I am. Nobody deserves a happy ending more than you xx Two weeks needs to go quickly! In the meantime, I'll have a Wine with you

cinnamongreyhound · 06/07/2014 18:24

It's so tough EnglishgirlsReturned! I already have 2ds's but struggled at my friends baby shower knowing that dh didn't want anymore (he's since changed his mind).

I got it too Misty414 and your post made me panic! I chose not to link it to fb and I'd be very upset if it ended up there!

Wanted to ask you all your opinion, I've got an appointment to give blood 24th July and my next date for af when this one finishes is around 2nd aug. Would you cancel the appointment? They not to donate of you're pregnant but even if I was I'd only be so early into it I can't imagine my requirement for blood would have increased by then.

laura !!!! I think I am mirroring you! Just been to the toilet (TMI alert, number 2) and there was blood. Not mixed in with any cm. proper droplets of bright red blood in the bowel. Nothing when I wiped. It's only 4dpo. Completely new to me. I wish I knew what it was!

EnglishGirlsReturned · 06/07/2014 18:54

You've been pretty patient in this shitty journey too Kitty!
Here's to some sticky beans all round WineWine
Couldn't tell you what the blood is though I'm afraid... Where in your cycle are you?

KittyVonCatsington · 06/07/2014 19:13

I found this on the Interweb, which is interesting:
___
Spotting that occurs in the middle of your cycle or spotting that occurs some ten to fourteen days prior to the start of the next cycle is normal too. This spotting may occur during ovulation. Seeing a spot of blood during ovulation is considered an excellent fertility sign. It is thought that mid-cycle spotting occurs for one of two reasons. First reason is possibly that when the egg bursts through the follicle, a little bleeding may occur. This blood will then make its way out and show up as “spotting”. Or, during ovulation, the level of estrogens rise, and this sometimes prompts the uterus to shed a bit of lining, which shows up in the form of “spotting.”

Spotting that occurs about a week before the cycle is due – and only lasts for less than one day – is possibly considered implantation spotting. This happens as a result of the fertilized egg burrowing into the uterine lining. Or another reason for seeing implantation spotting may be due to a slight rise in estrogen and drop in progesterone before the corpus luteum takes over the production of progesterone. The corpus luteum takes over the production when the implanted fertilized egg signals the body that pregnancy has occurred and that the lining must be maintained. Keep in mind that spotting that continues for days is not implantation spotting.

So, it looks like some good news fertility wise, if not BFP wise!! Interestingly enough, I'm getting my tight stomach feeling back again.
English I'm CD24 and 4dpo according to FF. I seem to have had two LH surges this cycle as well so this could mean anything, or nothing. Ho hum!
Let me refill you Wine Anyone else fancy a tipple Grin

Treaclepie19 · 06/07/2014 19:15

Sounds good for you kitty :)

No wine for me thanks, I'm trying to be good ;)

Plus I'm very emotional today so not the best idea haha.

Treaclepie19 · 06/07/2014 19:31

Ok it's not just me that thinks I may be in with a chance this month.

DH has commented on my swelling boobs, evening bloat (I look 7 months pregnant) and irritability.
He's normally a wait and see kinda guy so to entertain my crazy ideas.

Definitely setting myself up for a fall :p maybe I will have that wine kitty!

KittyVonCatsington · 06/07/2014 19:58

If we don't hope we'll get a BFP, Treacle then we're not human! Let me give you small Wine and cheers. You've done well this weekend. Put your feet up and watch some rubbish tv Grin

Treaclepie19 · 06/07/2014 20:12

Thanks kitty :)
I don't feel like I've done well but still.
I have my fingers crossed for you x

KittyVonCatsington · 06/07/2014 20:27

Ditto x
