That's great news MrsGingerbread, I'll be joining ou on the August bus!

Treaclepie19 · 04/07/2014 16:14

Sorry nordic :(

Great news Mrsgingerbread :)

I am home from the school trip. I'm not sure how I would be done that if still pregnant. I would've been 15 weeks.

Wondering whether to have a glass of wine or not as I'm 7/8 dpo.
Hmm.

Cpt1sock · 04/07/2014 16:27

treacle have a glass of wine if you fancy one.

mrsg glad your levels have dropped again!

Well due to my shortened cycles period tracker says I've got another shot at a July BFP. New stats are.

Cpt1sock,33, ttc#3. Bike 3, AF due- 28th July

Hopefully will hear from clearblue next week, had text from them yesterday to say they will be in touch. Thanks to whoever gave the heads up on that. Has anyone else heard back? Does anyone know what the programme entails?

We are going looking at a house in a bit and then I think we can have a chippy tea treat. Think I deserve it given AF showing up and a buyer knock back, yum!

Treaclepie19 · 04/07/2014 16:32

Sorry af came cpt. Treat yourself to chippy tea :) we are!

Think I will go ahead and have that glass of wine.

TheGrandHighWitch · 04/07/2014 16:36

Hi Cpt1Sock, it was me who linked to it although I did hear about it on here and before that on babycentre so the credit is not all mine. I had a text from them yesterday morning to say they'd be in touch and they rang a few hours later so fx they ring you soon. They asked me a few more questions and then when she confirmed my answers were fine then told me she would email me information and a consent form which I need to return to them. As I understand it (haven't fully read the info yet as my cycle is so up in the air at the moment), you get sent a fertility product (i think the monitor and presume the advanced) to use for three months with the sticks to go with it. If you withdraw from the program you have to send the stuff back.

You have to do fmu samples and keep them in the fridge and send them off every couple of weeks. If you suspect pregnancy you can test using their hpt's which they send you (although unclear atm if normal hpt's or the hpt's that go with the advanced monitor iyswim). You also have to do like a diary which doesn't take long. You need to be able to spend around 10 minutes per day on the trial stuff. At the end of 3 months if you complete the trial you will be sent £30 high street vouchers. If you get pg and continue sending them samples and let them know info about your pregnancy (such as edd and scan dates etc) then they will send you an additional £30 high street vouchers.

OP posts:
roastpots · 04/07/2014 16:40

I linked to the clearblue thing through here as well and they just sent me the stuff. They only pay you £30 if you get pregnant! Otherwise, they give you 3 more months of the opk sticks at the end of the trial. You have to store a daily sample of urine in the fridge and then send them to them every 2 weeks. Just trying to decide if I can be bothered to do that - although it's probably worth it for all the free opk and hpts.

cinnamongreyhound · 04/07/2014 16:48

I'm just reading it and filling in form now Cpt1sock, made me smile you only get vouchers if you're pregnant, like you need anymore pressure!! She said collect fmu daily and post every 2 weeks. If you don't get pregnant you get 3 months opk for your own use after the trial.

Have a glass Treaclepie19!

TheGrandHighWitch · 04/07/2014 16:48

Ah just double checked my info sheet and this is what they say about expenses and payments:

• All the trial materials including the packaging for the samples will be provided free of charge. The samples and diaries will be sent back to SPD in pre-paid envelopes.

• Payment for samples will only be for those who become pregnant. For the pregnant samples if collected up to day 60 the payment will be £30 in High Street Gift Vouchers; if after day 60, you wish to collect 1 weekly sample until birth there will be an additional payment up to £30 in High Street Gift Vouchers depending on the number of weekly samples collected. In the unfortunate event of miscarriage during the study, you will be asked if you are willing to collect additional samples after the event and will still receive £30 in gift vouchers.

• Volunteers who do not become pregnant during the study, will be given 3 months supply of a Clearblue Ovulation prediction product for personal use at the end of the study.

Agree with roastpots that it is quite a lot of work for what they are asking and also agree that the three months ovulation/hpts may be worth it.

cinnamongreyhound · 04/07/2014 17:15

I LOVE doing studies!!! Blush £30 sounds ok plus free opk's and pregnancy tests while you're doing the study and 3 months worth of opk's afterwards sounds quite good value too

Cpt1sock · 04/07/2014 17:26

I didn't think there would be any sort of payment, I'm just excited about a box of goodies possibly coming my way, I don't think I'd buy a monitor myself so if I have to post pee every couple of weeks for the use of a free one it's brilliant. In fact I'd give them £30 to be allowed on the study.

spinningirl10 · 04/07/2014 17:26

Oh Nordic, I'm so very sorry for youWineThanks

Treacle have a glass of wine if you fancy one!

I have a smiley face on my opk and dp is taking the night offGrin

My Saudi mum student has kindly made dinner which seems to be a massive pot of rice with a tin of tuna in it!

spinningirl10 · 04/07/2014 17:27

Ooh the survey sounds interesting, might take a lookGrin

Cpt1sock · 04/07/2014 17:44

Mmmmmm nice spinning enjoy! Very thoughtful though.

kurama · 04/07/2014 17:48

Before i read back ive managed to create a group on fb for anyone interested. its called The Insane TTC penis dragons ;)

TheGrandHighWitch · 04/07/2014 17:50

I will decide pending the outcome of this frustrating wait I am having to endure at the moment Grin.

Wine All round for those that need it at the moment (and don't forget the fertility boosting part of it lol).

Did you do your experiment with the fab's Aprilray?

Hi all, can I join in?

We just started trying for no 2 this month so I guess that makes me ILiveOnABuildsite 29, ttc 2, cycle 1, af due July 24th.

I didn't do the whole conception/pregancy thread with dc1 and always felt like I missed out and a bit jealous of those posters who recognised each other from these threads so determined to do it the mn way this time.

Good luck to everybody else trying!

TheGrandHighWitch · 04/07/2014 18:15

Welcome ILiveOnABuildsite. I will look at adding you to the stats list now along with other new passengers not yet updated.

Angry Angry Angry ...I am really peeved off, as I have no choice but to bring the issue to court. His insurance is saying it is 50/50, which has made me so angry I feel like I am going to explode! He was driving on the wrong side of the road & is trying to get away with 50% liability! No way Jose! I'm gonna take the night off from MN, as I am soo stressed, and I don't wanna burden you all x I feel like Alice lost in wonderland! Cuckoo madness etc!
