Following in from our previous thread!
Hopefully this thread is as successful as our last with a big BFP bonanza!

These poas baffle me. Getting pregnant almost seems random- however much people DTD at the right time. It just seems totally random whether it happens or not.

Why is that? I read an article about sperm and it said they are not all the same. They have different jobs. Some are aiming for the egg, some are guards- they go ahead and block of pockets in the vagina to stop the ones aiming for the egg going off in the wrong direction, some are attack sperm looking for any sperm they don't recognise as being in their gang and biting them or something, some help the swimmers swim faster. It was very interesting - in a men's magazine at the hairdressers a couple of years ago. DH reckons it must be to do with how well they all do their job to propel the swimmers aiming for the egg to get to it.

I can just imagine little guar sperm with little guns and attack sperm being like gangstas with bandanas on. Oh dear I'm immature.....

Could it be too early wine? What test did you use? Was it a sensitive one?

I'm so proud of DS today, he's been good as gold whilst I've been ill. It's been hard work as it is but he came to bed with me and we both slept for 2 and a half hours which made me feel a bit better :) so I took him in the garden when we woke up to play. So proud of him such a good boy sometimes

Sorry wine, how many dpo are you? If it's implantation bleeding you're getting it might be too early for a bfp.

DH says to tell you the one sperm that fertilises the egg has a big spike on its head that it uses to pierce the membrane round the egg.So he thinks maybe it depends how long and strong the spike is.

How does he know this stuff?

Wine I got bfn with my DS at 14dpo n bfp at 17dpo. Still hope :) fx!!

Aww lulu! :') thank u! He's never napped that long before, must have known I'm ill bless him. Lulu don't worry ull cope fine, they are the most amazing little people and it's crazy how much u love them :')

I am also loving the idea of attack sperm and guard sperm and one super sperm with a spike on his head (I'm picturing a bit like a unicorn). Thanks Lulu's DH for cheering us all up with this crazy imagery!

wine it sounds a bit late for implantation bleeding. Maybe test again in a couple of days if AF still hasn't come properly?

I'm going to leave it a day and see what happens.

Thinking of sending dh's sperm to bootcamp for a rigorous course of training after reading lulu's description!

Some have two heads, some have two tails, some have mis-shapen heads and some have no tails and some have bent tails and just go round in circles. Some shoot out of the far end of the fallopian tube into the woman's tummy where they are digested. They don't sound very bright do they? DH is now Prof Robert Winston II. Perhaps it depends on how many intelligent sperm the man produces?

Although I can't really think that can be true considering Dh's sperm managed it and I am lying here listening to this twaddle from him.

It 04:17am I can not sleep at all!!! Keep tossing and turning and now I'm wide awake :/ why?!!!' I need my sleep to get better ! :( stupid body !

Hi ladies!
I'm very anxious today... can't stop thinking at what happened to Tory and dreaming that my doctor will told me exactly the same tomorrow at my second scan... I know I should try to stay positive, but I also know that a lot of first pregnancies end up in mc... I should be around 8 weeks , the worst moment for morning sickness, but I feel good today and this lack of symptoms is worring me even more!

I know what you mean steph, I'm the same. I'll be so relieved to get to the 12 week scan!

Oh god ladies me to ! 10 weeks today finally got my booking appointment later . Completely convinced myself yesterday I wasnt pregnant and couldnt be bothered with it all !!my mild pregnancy symptons have trailed of as well ! Trying to stay positive had no cramping and one episode of tiny spotting and symptons do slow down at 9 /10 weeks . I know all of this but it doesnt help !!
