The Rules...

(1) A lady may only POAS on a Friday.
(2) Friday means the day that everyone calls Friday in the time zone where you spent the night.
(3) Rule (1) does not apply to POA-OPK-S, UNLESS they are being illegitimately used as surrogate HCG detectors, in which case Rule (1) most definitely does apply
(4) Rule (1) does not apply following a BFP because if you want to waste £25 a day POADigiS that's your prerogative
(5) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady is POAS in an attempt to get a BFN to prove she can start DTD with intent
(6) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady wants for unknown reason to pee on an actual stick, like a twig or some such, if that lady is unexpectedly caught short whilst tramping in the forest looking for bears.
(7) These rules (including Rule (1)) are subject to the change at any time if the ladies of the Posifrickentivity thread decide on a whim come up with empirical evidence to prove that it is luckier to POAS on any other day of the week
(8) Violators of Rule (1) shall be subject to fish throwing.

And as a grand finale, why not pledge to NEVER POAS before 14DPO?

Congratulations GandT

The 2ww is getting to me, I felt nauseous after smelling dp's aftershave and burst into tears, it was one of the first signs last time.

AF isnt due until the 16th so its way to early for any signs and im trying to stay calm but i want a baby so badly, possibly more than I did before the miscarriage and that baby was desperately wanted so I fear ive become slightly crazy Sad

GailLondon · 08/06/2014 20:52

Aw, just checked back to see how everyone is doing, and looks like there's been a whole batch of lovely BFP's! Congratulations!
I'm still lurking as not quite allowing myself to believe that I'm pregnant yet. Only 6+2 here so early days still. Booked in for an early scan at 8 weeks then might relax a bit!

mrsdiddlydoo · 08/06/2014 20:57

Evening. Just delurking to mark my place. Big congratulations to the recent BFPs! Keeps me going and gives me hope. Welcome to the recent new folk. I'm sorry you've found yourselves here. Hopefully you won't be here long.

My world is all upside down and topsy turvy right now. You ladies are the only people I can think of right now that would understand. Thought I'd be ov'ing this weekend 6 weeks since mc and busy SWI but despite AF the other week, I've had several scarily heavy bleeding incidents since last Thursday. Has totally messed with my head. I know things can be all over the place post MC but I feel like its just happened all over again. Dam you body. Bloody useless thing.

Littlelady33 · 08/06/2014 21:12

Gandt thrilled for you! Here's to a very dull eight months. Any chance of an early scan? Couple of epus in London do so I'm sure it's quite common?

Skippingthroughthefarm · 08/06/2014 21:13

can i join ?
Skippingthroughthefarm TTC since nov 2013
Cycle#8 CD24 BFP due ........
i'm not ovulating Sad

LittleMissSunshine33 · 08/06/2014 21:16

Ahhh I kept looking at the old thread thinking that's strange people aren't posting! Just marking my place! Smile

Hope26 · 08/06/2014 21:18

Congrats g&t. Please tell us your story of how you ttc and how long it took you.

I got my AF on cd35 after D&C due to baby having no heart beat. I did not check if I was ovulating before that it did not dtd. I will try this week. The wait is very long. I hope to read many more positive stories in the coming months

Monten · 08/06/2014 21:32

Congrats GandT and GailLondon

Sorry you're still experiencing bleeding mrsdiddlydoo that's so frustrating. Its just agonising waiting for your body to sort itself out. All you want is for your body to get back to normal and then to be pregnant again, and days feel like weeks and weeks feel like months. I'm so sorry. Your body is not useless though and it will sort itself out. In fact the bleeding is a sign that it is trying to do just that. Really hope it stops soon.

Just logged on to Facef@ck and saw a photo of my gorgeous new nephew my SIL posted, a week old today. I always knew this would be hard, he was due a month before my first one would have been, but I always hoped I would be pregnant by the time he was born. This is even worse than not being pregnant at all Sad

And another friend commented on the picture, talking about her own newborn. I know the pregnancy was her first try. Why do some people seem to have it so easy? It seems so unfair.

Wish me luck for my erpc tomorrow

GandTnow · 08/06/2014 21:35

Thank you so much everyone. It's wonderful to be have you lot who totally understand what it's like.

Not sure what to do re Gp etc. Obviously not actually due AF til Friday (I tested early) My GP are rubbish at getting you in touch with MW until about 6 weeks. Im not even sure that they offer early scans but would like to be on their books just incase something happened. Should I get in touch now or wait until AF due?

broodylicious · 08/06/2014 21:47

Will be thinking of you monten Thanks

Justonemoretime · 08/06/2014 21:49

Good luck tomorrow, Monten. You will be fine, enjoy the painkillers.
G&T, where abouts are you? If you have any weird spotting (which you won't), Uch Epu at Euston, London take walk in admissions for early scans. No need for GP referral. Fx you won't need it.

Thinking of you Monten Thanks

Monten · 08/06/2014 22:00

G&T I would get yourself registered - a BFP is a BFP!

I went to Kings EPU for my early scan, its horrific but you can just self refer. You need to get there before 8am tho, otherwise the wait is hours.

Which reminds me, the day after I went for the last scan, which confirmed MMC, I got one of those 'please rate your recent experience with the NHS' texts!! Did anyone else get one of those? Unbelievable.

Just - aahhh, the drugs. Last time, as I was coming round, I banged on and on to the nurse about what a lovely man the anaesthetist was, and how he had lovely kind eyes, and insisted she said thank you to him personally from me. Love the drugs.

Treaclepie19 · 08/06/2014 22:04

Good luck monten xxx

I had two of those texts. Grrrr.

Justonemoretime · 08/06/2014 22:04

I'm up North! Just been looking on the internet and it looks like there are a couple of place that do do private scans, at £100 a go! I'm really hoping that they'll offer me one on the NHS!!

Skippingthroughthefarm · 08/06/2014 22:25

anyone else been in the situation i am in of not Ovulating ? looking for people to talk to

Monten · 08/06/2014 22:25

If you've had an MC then you should get referred for an early reassurance scan on the NHS, that's my experience anyway.

Justonemoretime · 08/06/2014 22:29

I know its not really tge place, so I'll post this once and leave it at that. My DH and I are fundraising for Tommy's, to fund research into miscarriage and stillbirth. I'm swimming 2 miles and he's cycling 100 miles. If you feel like sponsoring us, here's the link. Absolutely no expectation or pressure. Wish us luck, though! uk.virginmoneygiving.com/RossisRiding

silverine · 09/06/2014 00:58

Ooh g&t exciting!!
Gail I'm sure they should offer early scans after mc, they did for me at 8 weeks. I remember as it was valentines last year (but was bad news again). Fx all will be fine with you, I'm sure!

broodylicious · 09/06/2014 07:02

Also joining in with the shaking fists at NHS texting debacle, monten and treacle. I had an appt reminder two weeks after my mc. Called them to ask what it was for and woman said "it's a maternity....oh sorry, I can see it's been cancelled actually." Cue me getting all emotional and angry (dangerous combo) and complaining to the patient liaison people and also telling the local press. When I went in for my procedure the other week, the head of midwifery was assisting and she apologised afterwards for it all.

mrsdiddlydoo · 09/06/2014 07:21

thinking of you today Monten

sebsmummy1 · 09/06/2014 10:07

Skipping - how are you sure you are not ovulating?

marshmallowpies · 09/06/2014 10:31

Monten I was at the Kings EPU too, it's the place no-one wants to be but they were so kind to me there. And as I already have a DD aged 2, having her bouncing round the waiting room surrounded by first-time pregnant women and partners who were all looking worried, felt very awkward. But I'm so glad to live close to Kings & know I have a really good hospital so close at hand.

My news: still no sign of period. Still haven't POAS. Can't buy pregnancy tests in my local superdrug as they all know me in there. Tomorrow maybe I can go a bit further afield and buy one on the neighbouring high st. Is it weird that I care so much about being 'seen' buying pregnancy tests?
