Thank you mam31. Sorry everyone if I'm bringing the bus down!

Well done on kicking your poas addiction!

Boosk · 08/06/2014 23:05

Fingers crossed you manage to catch an earlier bus treacle but if not save me a seat Smile

Mam31 · 08/06/2014 23:11

You are not bringing the bus down Treacle, you have a very very genuine reason to be feeling down and you should definately be venting on here to get it all out!

Treaclepie19 · 08/06/2014 23:12

Thanks ladies x
I honestly don't know what I'd do without you all!

silverine · 09/06/2014 00:38

treacle hang in there, it'll get easier I promise u!
What friends you and kitty have - really!!
By the way kitty a friend of mine who didn't know she was preggo was puzzled why her breasts were suddenly itchy and burning. Really hope it's a good sign for you and this is your month!
Cd9 here and dtd#2 in the bag Wink
The opks come out tomorrow.

ChandlersFarang · 09/06/2014 05:41

Greetings all from the bus terminus, Thailand!!Grin hi to the newbies! Sorry to those that got BFP/AFs... GrandHigh, I've eaten a full trilby on account of your news. Was so sure!! Fx for the next round, at least it starts soon. And a virtual hug to you Treacle. Seems this ttc business is very testing for most. Have had a bit of a difficult weekend coming to terms with my PCOS diagnosis - sounds silly but have been so for & healthy for the last couple of years - and never really had anything wrong with me - so just taking a whole to accept I've now got a 'condition'. Especially one that fucks with our baby dreams!! BUT it's still v early days on the ttc front so staying positive.

Had an awesome first-ever session of acupuncture yesterday! Doc was awesome, western and eastern medicine trained and a fertility expert. I know some of you go to acupuncture - in fact I got the idea from you Grin - anyone finding it's having an impact? The stats on its success for fertility are impressive, even if some say they are for psychosomatic reasons (who cares, if it works!).

2DPO here, firmly kicking off the TWW after a DTD-fest weekend! If I am preggo this month (not holding my breath) then I've got a long haul return trip to the UK to factor in, plus going to Glastonbury! Yikes! Fun will be had whatever happens. So excited.

Kitty - love your SYMPTOMS, firetits sound immense!! Lol!! Grin

MrsE - that is THE BEST wedding night story I've ever heard. You must love him!! Hahaha!!

ChandlersFarang · 09/06/2014 05:43

Argh, phone!

  • fit & healthy ** while to accept
spinningirl10 · 09/06/2014 06:46

MorningGrin

Treacle, you've had such a shit time, feel free to vent here anytime you like. As someone else said, things will get easier but it takes time. Big un-MN hugs to youThanks

Chandler, the acupuncture sounds good, sorry to hear you've been feeling down over your pcos. Fx for you.

I'm in the 2ww now, dtd shagathon at the weekend and now the wait begins!
I'm shattered, we have foreign students to stay with us from the local language school and I was expecting one to arrive yesterday but they had no arrival details for him and said he'd arranged his own transport from London.....I've had a restless night waiting for a phone call/knock on the door and he hasn't turned up!!! Not happy, better phone the language school I think.

spinningirl10 · 09/06/2014 07:39

Ooh a Friday 13thpoas party!! How exciting and Mama fx 13 is lucky for you Grin

Mam31 · 09/06/2014 07:48

Thanks Spinning, I won't hold my breath lol hope the 2ww goes fast for you! And ends with a bfp :)

kurama · 09/06/2014 08:21

Hugs treacle! Some people really are idiotic.....and a gender revel party wtaf!!???!! I'd guess that's before the baby shower so ppl know what to get?

Due sometime between fri-mon and woke up with sore nipples a runny nose and a really sore throat (like I have sandpaper down it) cough and headache..... Symptom or just getting ill lol?

Spotti · 09/06/2014 08:22

Completely unrelated-to-TTC question here : why do people say "here's an un-MN hug"? Is it because some lots of people on here can be bitchy and wouldn't dream of giving a fellow MNer a hug? Just curious really...

Currently sat eating chocolate spread straight from the jar (mmmmm!). My excuse is that it's the run-up to Cake Day (or not Wink) so I'm allowed :p

Spotti · 09/06/2014 08:23

Big squeeze for treacle xxx

Wineandchoccy · 09/06/2014 08:49

I don't understand gender reveal parties do people really think that the guests are bothered whether it is a girl or boy.

Big hugs treacle

We go on holiday tomorrow for 10 nights, so a busy day of packing and cleaning because MIL is feeding our cat while we are away.

AF still not gone, pre mmc my AF used to only last 3 days but on day 5 and still heavy, it needs to bugger off before I hit the beach!

My cycles pre AF were 41 days, if you have had a mc did your cycles return the same as before or are they a different length now?

spinningirl10 · 09/06/2014 08:53

Omg Kitty, just read back about the gender reveal party!!! How bloody insensitive of her. And what a strange idea for a party!

Spotti, yes I think hugs in some areas of MN are frowned upon but not here on the Thailand bound bus....hug away Grin

Spotti · 09/06/2014 08:54

chuckles at the fact that we, as women, feel the need to clean our house even though we're not going to be in it, just to show the MIL that we're not really tramps Wink<

Have a great holiday choccy! You going anywhere nice? stupid question really - it must be nice, otherwise you wouldn't be going! Stupid Spotti!

spinningirl10 · 09/06/2014 08:56

Wine....have a fantastic holiday in the sunshineGrin my periods are exactly the same after my mc but it was at 6 weeks so maybe that's why. Hope yours settles down and bleeding stops soon.

Spotti · 09/06/2014 08:58

Pah, if anyone ever tried to stop me/tell me off for offering a friend (in RL or my virtual gang you lot) a hug when they needed one then I think I'd slap them round the face!

Honestly. Just because you're on an Internet forum and are hiding behind a fake name doesn't mean that you can be mean and just slag everyone else off! Silly grumpy old snooty pants ladies.

Pffft.

Rant over now!

(What is with me at the moment? Last night I was ranting about the Gender Reveal party and today, this! I think I need to get a life... Wink)

Wineandchoccy · 09/06/2014 09:04

We are going to the Costa del Sol, we had the time off booked but were planning on doing the garden and decorating but after the mc we thought we needed a holiday.

I'm cleaning like a mad fool and DH has gone to the bank then going to the gym, I wish I had been born a man they have such an easy life Smile

We did a car boot stall yesterday and I have 1 sunburnt arm, my right arm is lobster red. I need to position my sun lounger so that my left arm gets some colour. We made £360 though and it was all junk Grin

Spotti · 09/06/2014 09:11

Nice one!

Stepawayfromthezebras · 09/06/2014 09:14

Treacle and Kitty grrr at your insensitive friends Angry

I'm meant to be going to a wetting the baby's head session on Saturday for friend I had to hide on fb while she was pregnant because I couldn't deal with the blow by blow updates. Baby was born a week ago and apparently there are now blow by blow updates of the first week of baby's life (DP hasn't unfollowed them on fb so I asked him what they were being like)

Not as annoying as a gender reveal party (what the actual fuck?) but I think I'm going to wimp out. When we were out on Friday a mutual friend was asking whether we'd seen THE BABY and cooing over how amazingly cute she is and I found that hard enough to exclaim over. I don't think I can cope with a whole evening devoted to it.

Wineandchoccy - £360 is brill - well done you!

Aprilray · 09/06/2014 09:19

I've not been on here for long but have found everyone lovely but then I have only been on a few threads (mainly this one!!) I have found everyone lovely and would hug every last one of you if I could.

Gender reveal party - OMG!! So everyone arrives, they reveal the gender then what?! Sorry your friends are being insensitive Kitty and Treacle

Wine I really hope AF takes the hint and leaves you in peace before your hol - have a lovely time. Relaxation is essential to ttc.

Soo - was fully expecting AF this morning and woke at 5.50am with cramping which has been pretty much on off since then but not as strong as they usually get. Been to the loo twice (bracing myself each time) and nothing yet. AF usually arrives pretty much first thing for me. To be honest if she was going to arrive I'd prefer today as I am off (like to book the Monday off after a weekend away and we have a load of deliveries coming) so can wallow.
Today is CD 32, 13dpo - AF turned up on CD32 last month and CD 31 the two months before. On our first month ttc she turned up on CD33 so guess maybe the stress of the weekend (cases going missing and having to re-buy stuff kind of ruined the relaxation) has delayed her....I temped when I woke at 5.50 and was pretty low - temped again when I woke up and much higher but had only slept for about an hour...trying not to get my hopes up.
Sorry for long post - putting off unpacking and doing chores!

Spotti · 09/06/2014 09:34

I'm putting off doing anything that vaguely resembles 'being productive' today too (not that you can tell Wink). Oscar-the-super-dog is just chillin' too...I think today might be a lazy one...

Can someone please send me a virtual straight jacket (or just a virtual slap will do)?!

I reeeeeeally wanna go POAS. Like, right now. But it's only 9dpo. Waaaay too early to show anything on an IC AND I've agreed to go to the POAS party on Friday...but I'm soooo tempted to do it now! I know it won't show me anything, and even if it did, I'd only stress about it for longer if I pee too soon, but it's soooo tempting!

Somebody slap me and take away my pee sticks.

really needs to find something else to do other than sit on here and think about peeing

MrsExtraOrdinary · 09/06/2014 09:34

I'm so glad my husbands poo story gave a few if you a chuckle! Grin For the others still feeling a bit low, I'm sure to be posting kitten pictures this week! Wink Poor MrsEs cat, just couldn't get comfy yesterday in the heat. The only place even slightly comfortable was the cold kitchen floor. But just as she'd sprawl herself out one of my delightful sons would wade in disturbing her. Peace and quiet reigns today with an empty house....come on kitty's, you can come out now Smile

Cpt1sock · 09/06/2014 09:37

Hi all,

This is my 1st mumsnet post,I'm stupidly nervous!

I'm hoping to grab a late seat.Af is due in 6 days I got a smiley face on a cb ov test on the 1st but didn't test again after that, will I have ov'd on the 2nd? This is our 1st month ttc#3, with the other 2 I didn't do anything other than do the do lots so I'm a total novice.

There will be a big age gap between dc if I'm lucky enough to have a 3rd, I have 1 at 15 and 1 at 11. We've had to wait for 9yrs to ttc as I have an illness that went off the rails and has taken this long to stabilise. I've wanted this to happen so badly for so long that it doesn't feel like our 1st month ttc. I'm obviously symptom spotting like a maniac but trying to resist testing. I did buy a test (cheapy from bodycare) I went to do it yesterday but the box was empty! A shoplifter obvs got there before me. I've taken that as fate sticking her oar in so I'm going to try and wait until next Mon if AF doesn't show before then.

I'm sorry to hear some of you are going through a difficult time at the moment, love and light to you all xx

Congrats to those who have got their BFP! Hope you have a v.healthy 8months(ish), reading your posts has given me a good dose of joy & hope. I'm on a bit of a time limit to get my BFP before it's game over, so you sharing your precious moments here gives me a huge boost of positivity.

Sorry this post has been long but felt I should introduce myself properly, I'm not usually so me,me,me! Blush
