Sorry to hear AF turned up. I felt absolutely miserable when mine did!!! Now feel hopeful again for a couple of weeks. I have no doubt I will feel pants again if I have to see AF again soon. We didn't do to well with our big party for everyone's BFPs.... Sad
Is everyone joining in next cycle? I believe I should ovulate on Tuesday so will be right back to the two week wait again!

newbie6 · 19/06/2014 21:39

See my last post red bunny but trust me if I can join in I will, hee hee.....poor hubby!

ladyflower23 · 20/06/2014 08:06

Sorry to hear you got AF 1moretime. It must be really hard on you to have such long cycles. Have you got any medication or anything from the doc to try and regulate them?
Redbunny, I am wary of the IC OPKs, I have a horrible feeling they are going to make me more stressed than ever, but DH has said that he will not have the energy to DTD with me ever other day for my entire cycle! And TBH I don't think I can summon up that much libido either! I still have a few sticks from the digi one, so going to use that to confirm if I get any promising looking lines. I do like that one though, just too expensive to buy every month when you don't know how long it will take you to fall.
Yes, that party was very unsuccessful. Maybe Friday 13th wasn't a good date to have it!!
Yes newbie, you will just have to go on top and do all the work. He he, our other halves must feel so used and abused!

RedBunny · 20/06/2014 08:16

Ladyflower should your digi sticks work mid cycle? I thought the way they worked was to detect when your hormones rise? So they need to be measured from earlier on to pick that up? Maybe I'm wrong, id just hate for you to waste them because they're expensive! I am I guess quite fortunate in that whenever I tell my husband to DTD he will! Honestly he doesn't like that I'm saying only every other day for now! Grin
Newbie, get on top of him and then flip over onto your back and legs up right after!! Use some conceive plus or pre seed too!
Maybe I'm just too demanding of my husband the kind of advice I give....!

TerrysNo2 · 20/06/2014 08:47

AF has arrived for me too which although was a but disappointing as if secretly hoped it would just happen, even though we weren't really trying (aka not enough DTD!) I'm pleased that I read my body quite well and predicted it was due about now. Now for a seduction plan Wink

sorry AF arrived for you too 1more, at least it's the weekend and therefore gin/wine/ delete as appropriate o'clock!! Grin

ladyflower23 · 20/06/2014 08:52

I've think they will work for the lh surge if you use them midcycle, but won't detect your high fertile days before the lh surge because they won't have the baseline to measure your rising estrogen. That's just Ladyflower amateur science talk though. I have seen other women on here doing this though, so I am assuming it is OK to do that. I will let you know how I get on!
Wow Redbunny, you and your husband sound like a right pair of goers! Mine would literally die of exhaustion if he had to do it once a day!!
I'm thinking of purchasing some of the conceive plus stuff. Does anyone reckon it helps the spermies?

ClaireF2013 · 20/06/2014 09:05

I don't really know how many days post ovulation I am, possibly 11?! My cycles are irregular and I didn't have a monitor when we first started trying.

My legs have been really achey for the last few days, very tender breasts in the morning, peeing more. Couldn't help my POAS urges this morning and used two cheapy sticks-both a very faint positive after about 6mins (pic of one included), then I thought "is this time to break out a Superdrug test!?" annnnnd....well, take a look! It changed within 2 minutes to two lines. Does it look positive to you guys?? I'm being really thick as I am a nurse and do pregnancy tests every day, but somehow I need confirmation for my own!?

Tww starts tomorrow!

RedBunny · 20/06/2014 09:17

Looks like a positive to me.... Is the line pink? If it is the right colour it is meant to not be an evap line. In which case congratulations!!

ClaireF2013 · 20/06/2014 09:20

Yes, it is pink!! Currently performing another three tests with different sticks LOL! My husband is away until Sunday, so will surprise him with a positive stick (or three, or five...). I am in disbelief!!!

RedBunny · 20/06/2014 09:20

At least there's been a couple of BFPs here!! Oh and Ladyflower i didn't know you could still detect LH surge anyway, that's good to know, thanks! I don't know about being real goers... My husband maybe! My libido is very high from finishing my period til ovulation. After that I completely lose interest....!!! Poor husband. I'm so inconsistent!

ClaireF2013 · 20/06/2014 09:24

Well, I hope it is a BFP! I can't believe it!!! I will have to check tomorrow in the morning to see if the line gets stronger.

ladyflower23 · 20/06/2014 09:54

Looks positive to me Claire. Congratulations!!!!!

ClaireF2013 · 20/06/2014 10:14

Thank you, ladies!!! I am in disbelief, as we would have only had sex twice around my vaguely fertile period (according to my phone app!) and I am irregular, so I thought it would take ages. I have done six tests now (2 Superdrug, 3 cheapie sticks, and one cassette test!) and all have been a faint positive, so I guess I have an excuse to have a look at baby stuff now :) it goes to show that it isn't necessarily about having loads of sex and charting etc, sometimes it can just be luck??

RedBunny · 20/06/2014 10:51

Well I need some of that luck for this month! Let's hope we all are lucky next time!! And then we can have our party. All those that got BFPs already can come back for it!

CatRen27 · 20/06/2014 11:02

I'm on cd 40 - BFNs all over the shop, still no AF, and no sign for it to appear any time soon. Why is she messing with me?! Looks like I completely misjudged (and therefore missed) my OV date by a mile, so think once AF has come and gone I think I'll need to just shag every 2 days and get on with it. Bored of this limbo and want to get moving!

Great news Claire, how exciting!! Thanks

ClaireF2013 · 20/06/2014 11:15

Thankyou, Cat :) sending you lots of good wishes-I hope you get the positive soon x

newbie6 · 20/06/2014 11:15

Congrats Claire, lucky you......how exciting :) x

Catren27, sorry to hear about your BFN and AF, as others have said could your doctor maybe give you something to help, if not you might just have to DTD every other day but like you, seems a chore sometimes rather than a pleasure but it will be worth it :)

So, hubby is being operated on tomorrow and according to my numerous ovulation apps I will be fertile anytime from Tues/Wed so have told him to take all the painkillers on offer as he's gonna need them!

X

pinpan · 20/06/2014 11:22

Congrats Claire!

Aaaaand AF is definitely here today so I'm out. Sad Roll on the end of June. Hmm I've downloaded the Ovia app, as much to keep track of cycles as to jump on DH when it tells me to get jiggy! Grin

CatRen27 · 20/06/2014 11:26

Thanks Newbie and Claire, I think some doctor's advice would certainly be useful! I've not lost hope, just anxious to get on with it Smile

DH and I are doing a lot less travel in the next few months, which is good news. We went to 6 countries between us in Africa, Asia and Middle East (separately!) with work over the last three months, which is not conducive to TTC!

zoobaby · 20/06/2014 14:24

Wow, congrats Claire. I'm still popping in here every now and again to see who else has positives. The (pink) Superdrug test is a really faint line isn't it? But it looks the same as the diagram on the box. I hope you'll buy another variety of test (one where the line is expected to be darker) so we can all know for sure! Smile

zoobaby · 20/06/2014 14:26

Newbie... your poor DH. That back problem is going to require some alternative thinking. Maybe you'll find something that you both like. Haha.

ClaireF2013 · 20/06/2014 14:32

Zoobaby I know, it is quite faint! I'm not truly sure how days past ovulation I am, so I think it could just be very early? I have done 7 tests total now (including two from a urine sample later in the day), and all of them have been a faint positive. I am a bit embarrassed to say this, but I've used 2 Superdrug tests, 3 cheapie ebay sticks, and 2 cassette type tests! I will check tomorrow morning as well, to see if I get a darker line :D

RedBunny · 20/06/2014 16:13

Sorry pinpan. AF sucks.

Katybear123 · 20/06/2014 18:15

Congrats Claire, that's fab. Bfn here this am day 40 and still no af. Cat ren 27 were you on the pill to? Never wanted a period so much :-(
