I like free stuff as well !! They must want people to do it so they can claim it works in 99% of people or something !! Positive thoughts !!

HullKat · 03/06/2014 20:38

Yup, would be fab if we get BFPs, especially on a free HPT lol!!

Anyhow, who's still in for this month then? I'm currently 10 dpo with AF due on 7th. How's everyone getting on??

Imustbecrazy26 · 03/06/2014 20:50

Well I just had the urge to poas and got a bfn!!!

How foolish! Wonders off to order some more Hmm

lillamyy1 · 03/06/2014 21:11

I've entered the trial too, sounds fab!

Girls, I need some advice about using opks. Just got some clearblue digital ones through the other day and it says to start using them on cd 14 (with a 31 day cycle which I have) which doesn't make sense to me because surely it's possible to ov earlier than that, despite long cycle?
They also say to just do one a day, but I'd heard you have to do it twice a day... or does that depend on the brand?

I'm on cd 6 now. Was hoping to start a dtd marathon again this week but tbh reeeeally not in the mood since AF finished, and I'm guessing DP isn't either because when I said I was going to our bedroom for a 'lie down' he suggested to our housemate that they go to the pub together!!!

Really looking forward to our housemate moving out - he's always around and can't really say to DP "hey, let's go and ttc" in front of him!!

Ducky23 · 03/06/2014 21:41

Lil I think it's cheapos you use twice a day Smile
Not sure about when you test though, do you usually have any ov symptoms?

Where's lulu?

Cupcake92 · 03/06/2014 21:54

I so hope I get a phone call and get this clear blue stuff it looks amazing!!! :D

N I don't know Ducky :s she's not been on in a while. Hope she's okay

lillamyy1 · 03/06/2014 22:06

Yeah, it has been a while since lulu's been on - I hope she's ok too!

LuluJakey1 · 03/06/2014 22:17

I'm still here- just taking a back seat. Don't really feel I am any help here to you.

Not very nice to go on about being pregnant and sharing it all with DH and how much we love it all - even the ms - which is where I am. You don't really need to hear all that and all of our shenanigans.

I don't know anything about TTC - only done one POAS in my life a couple of weeks ago - well we did 2 just to check. Not sure what all the other things are so I don't feel much help to you there, never been through it and I never read up on the stuff beforehand.

So thought I would keep my head down but have been reading your posts and wishing you all well.

Cupcake92 · 03/06/2014 22:18

She was at he in laws wasn't she? Wonder how long she was there for?

Cupcake92 · 03/06/2014 22:22

There u are lulu!!
No no! Please join in! It's nice to hear the pregnant women's side of things :) symptoms, scans etc. It gives us lots hope and something to look forward to. I like hearing about all the doctor appointments etc, get some advice from u for when it happens to is :)

Ducky23 · 03/06/2014 22:22

Awwww stay lulu! Everyone on here will have their BFP soon and we can all moan about being the size of whales and not bein able to see our toes Smile

LuluJakey1 · 03/06/2014 22:29

Cupcake I couldn't give you advice. I haven't a clue! I am just taking it as it comes and relying on DH and his interminable research for info. You know 100x more than me.

Ducky I hear what you are saying but I just don't know what to say to anyone in the meantime. I am not a help to them. Have never been there or had those feelings. Keep not being very helpful.

Not fair to go on about pregnancy and all the lovely and not so lovely bits.

But I am loitering and reading everything and hoping for you all.

Cupcake92 · 03/06/2014 22:38

It's nice to just talk to other women about babies and stuff.
U should stay lulu! :)

poppet85 · 03/06/2014 22:44

lilla I ve had a failed attempt at using opkd .I used boots own but got so confused by when to test/drinking before or not/if hubby was working late I get annoyed we couldnt dtd .It all stressed me out a bit . I also read it tells you about your surge but not if you actually ovulate ? Basically I dont think they're for me she says stock piling them . Other people say they're great and I think they're useful to pin down ov if your irregular .Only my 2pence worth and they cant do any harm !!

MrsPopple29 · 04/06/2014 06:45

Lillamy, I have the clearblue ones top... They're different to other ones as you only need to test in morning- once the solid smiley appears it stays there for two days so you don't waste any more tests, and in that time DTD on both days! I DTD every other day as soon as the flashing smiley starts appearing. As for which day to start testing, you usually ovulate 14 days before next period, so working on that assumption you wouldn't need to test before day 14 of a 31 day cycle. But if it's your first month using them then start a day or two earlier if you're worried you'll miss it!

Hopefully last day of AF today... Hurry up and go away!

Cd30 no sign of af still not tested .Going to test Saturday morning if she hasnt shown by then .No real symptons I have achey boobs and been knackered but have put it down to this on going cold . Told DH last night that I was running later than normal we just dont want to get our hopes up

HullKat · 04/06/2014 08:40

Morning, well, we DTD last night and I got pink CM afterwards and this morning. I'm not getting excited as I'm in a foul mood and want to cry, so I'd bet next month's wages that AF will show up today, three days early too. That would make my LP only 11 days, which worries me slightly. Plus, DP only had his reversal 3 months ago, but he has been discharged by specialist after only the first sperm analysis, it's motile, the op has worked, and the first result brought back an analysis of 4.4 million, so compared to a 'normal' count, it's still on the low side, but....it's worked!! As I'm 35, I know that it's not guaranteed to happen, and it certainly won't happen overnight.

Anyhow, about the digital ov tests. I've used them for the first time this month and I found them to be really easy to use. Lill, I assume that if you usually have a 31 day cycle, that it tells you on that table thingy on the leaflet to test at CD 14, mine is usually a 27 day cycle, with a three day period, so from CD1 to CD3 I bleed, then do nothing until CD 7, which is when it tells me to start doing my FMUs and POASING, last month, there was 3 empty circles ( low fertility) then 4 flashing smileys (high fertility) then two days of static smiley ( my 2 days, 48 hours of peak fertility).

I just try and ensure that we DTD at least every other day from CD 7 to CD 16. Lill, there's nothing stopping you contacting CB, or even testing slightly earlier, if you get on the trial then you could use that as an opportunity to start testing early without having to spend over £50 buying more sticks!! I agree with what MrsPopple says to do, no harm in testing early.

I started with a BBT two weeks ago and I've found it a nightmare, do any of you temp? Is orally the best way? I seem to be struggling to get the hang of it, any advice?

HullKat · 04/06/2014 08:41

That sounds really promising poppet, I have my fx for you!!

kitkatkaty87 · 04/06/2014 09:00

im due af on the 8th June, well that will be 28 days. so there's a few of us due at around the same time :) surely 1 in 3 of us will get a bfp! Someone has too!
x

poppet85 · 04/06/2014 09:08

Yeah we ended up agreeing to dtd after af very other day for about 2 weeks after I got angry with the opks!
hull Ive spent many days worrying about my LP phase being too short !I didnt even know there was a LP untill I started ttc !! If your worried go to your dr I think because of your age they should do bloods etc earlier ,dont quote me on that !! Remember not out until af shows !
