lillamyy1 · 26/05/2014 09:50

Morning everyone! Brew
Thanks for the lovely wishes, lulu
Sorry to hear you're so tired today ducky and cupcake.
And kitkat good luck at work!

I'm testing every day this week - not even going to pretend I can resist lol!
I'm 12 dpo - AF due Weds. I've already poas this morning and BFN...
But it is still early so trying to think positive.
So exciting that there's at least 3 of us testing this week - if everyone reminds me what day they're testing I'll make a list so we can keep track.

MrsPopple29 · 26/05/2014 09:54

Well, last night I was so exhausted I cried because I was hungry, but I think that was mostly because I'd spent a sleepless weekend at an activity centre with my class! Haven't really had any proper symptoms, not really feeling it this month :( Think I'm also trying not to get hopes up.

This is the last month I'm going to test before AF I think!

Aww Popple, I always end up either crying or being really stroppy when I'm hungry. Are you better rested today?
What tests have you got? I've just got a multi pack of really rubbish, tiny ones from ebay where you have to wait for 10 mins before reading them. I thought I'd ordered opks but then these came! At least I can satisfy my poas urges cheaply Smile

lillamyy1 · 26/05/2014 10:08

Oh, and poppet, what AF symptoms do you think you've been having? You know early pg symptoms can be the same as AF. Why did you already think this month hasn't been your month? You're not out until AF shows up! Thanks

MrsPopple29 · 26/05/2014 10:12

I ended up buying loads last month because of the novelty of it all, and only ended up using one as AF came really early! So I have FRER, the normal FR ones, sainsburys own digital and clearblue digital! Have no idea why I bought so many but at least I'm set for a little while... Confused

Cupcake92 · 26/05/2014 10:16

Lovely positive post lulu thanks for that :)

Yes I'm testing Friday! Nervous to say the least.
I've got 5 internet cheapies not sure to trust them tho. I have one FRER so I'm going to use that on Saturday morning.
Obv if I get bfp on internet cheapie Friday I'll use it straight after :p

LuluJakey1 · 26/05/2014 10:41

Poppet Cupcake I didn't test until about 5 days after AF was late- bit of a mix up with dates.

I had every PMS symptom I ever have- irritable, miserable, weepy, tired, sore boobs, crampy pain.

Was just waiting for AF and she wasn't coming to visit!

poppet85 · 26/05/2014 10:45

lilla yesterday I had quite thick white discharge ( sorry tmi !!) which always happens before af . Next cycle will be number 4 , my cycle is a fixed 27 days we've tried the majority of other methods ; everyother day , everyday, preseed, vitamins etc etc .Iam running out of excuses !! I know cycle 4 will be difficult

lillamyy1 · 26/05/2014 10:55

Oh really? I've just had the same discharge this morning...
But if you're trying your best, sooner or later you'll get pg - just remember the longer we try, the more likely we are to be successful!

LuluJakey1 · 26/05/2014 10:57

I wonder what effect the stress of TTC has.

We have friends who had been married 6 years, no apparent reason medically but could not conceive. They gave up. They adopted two boys aged 3 and 5.

Within 6 months, she was pregnant and again when DD was 12 months old.

Now have 4 children under the age of 10. Shock

poppet85 · 26/05/2014 11:02

I know I just remember the stats something like 80% conceive in the first 6 months ?! I might be wrong but just got a feeling .
Thats a lovely story lulu , Ive always thought we would adopt if we cant have children

LuluJakey1 · 26/05/2014 11:11

I have another friend who is 26, has been married 2 yrs and trying since then. Nothing. Tests etc showed nothing wrong. Was driving herself and DH mad with DTD, dates, OPK, POAS , symptoms etc.

Really fed up. Decided to stop everything for 6 months and then consider options. Went on holiday, had a great time, threw themselves into just enjoying life.

Now 15 weeks pregnant!

It does make you wonder.

LuluJakey1 · 26/05/2014 11:14

The bad news s her DH wants to call the baby Norman after his dad- if it is a boy of course Grin

poppet85 · 26/05/2014 11:19

Ah thats amazing !! We've got a friend who was pretty much trying for 4 years finally got pregnant but had an etopic they had IVF and she was due on saturday !! It will happen for us all but takes alot longer than I ever thought !

Bugaboom · 26/05/2014 11:42

I think thick discharge is associated with early pregnancy. Hoping everyone gets their bfps this week.

And my AF was 3 days late before a bfp. I didn't really track ovulation but I think it was around 16dpo.

Ducky23 · 26/05/2014 11:47

Lovely post lulu Grin

Yea I was going to say could it be pregnancy discharge?

I got it before BFP and was really confused, thought I got ov dates wrong but apparently not Smile

poppet85 · 26/05/2014 12:10

Its one of those cruel symptons that could be a sympton of af or pregnancy anyway this time next weekwe'll know .Luckily Iam at the inlaws all next weekend so will take my mind off it all and cant do any early testing .
Anyway me and my amazing husband of braving the weather to go to a food festival .Hes so good at taking my mind off things !!

poppet85 · 26/05/2014 12:13

Yes ducky I thought it was ovulation ! I dont really get much at all in my cycle Iam cd 20 so unlikely to be ov !

Cupcake92 · 26/05/2014 13:09

I got discharge most of my last cycle :(

This time I've had it but not a lot, yesterday however I had loads! Thick and creamy (tmi! Sorry!) now just small amount today. Grossssss!!! Haha :p

LuluJakey1 · 26/05/2014 14:30

I have taken DH out for lunch. What a palaver! He had to wriggle into the back seat of the car lengthways. Crutches on top of him. Seatbelt vey awkwardly and uncomfortably around him- don't think it would have been any use if there had been an accident.

Took him down to the Fish Quay and got fish and chips. Then drove him round the corner to beach and sheltered bay at the mouth of the river. We sat on a bench and ate them. He had a pint from the pub and I had an ice cream. It was sunny and warm and just enough of a breeze from the mouth of the river meeting the sea to not be too hot. Managed about 5 mins on his crutches along the bay before he was fed up.

I can see him starting to get very frustrated with himself. He is now sitting in the shower on a stool with the knee support wrap thing off and the hot shower on it. Wants to bend it. No talking to him. Is insisting he is coming to see the consultant with me tomorrow. I may have to push him in a wheelchair when we get there.

Happy days!
