Ok so on cd3 (I think) and been having twinges all day, when do symptoms really kick in?! Last time round I had no symptoms at all but then mc'd at about 7 weeks.

Also one of my best friends has just let slip that she's got a bfp...so thrilled for her as they've been trying for a while but unbelievably jealous. Want this more than ever now

First bus grumble, dp knows that were DTD every other night this cycle, just told me hes had a shower & tired & no thank you to DTD.

Honestly, I've never known a man whose happy between 0-3 times a month under thirty?! He knows, like before the 'are you as committed to TTC as me' and 'don't you find me attractive anymore' questions will come & I'll get upset & wonder if were doing the right thing. Men!! All they have to do is the best bit thank god they don't give birth!! Xx

misstiggi with DD I got a bfp way before any symptoms, I just tested because AF was late.

Hello to all the new joiners to thread.

I've decided to so opks this month, just to try to figure out when I'm going to ovulate after a unusually long cycle this month. But I'm all confused! I did a tester one the day they arrived which was CD 4 and got a 2nd line but only half as strong as control line, so negative obv. But I've actually started testing for ov now on CD 9 and 10 and I'm getting a very very faint 2nd line....
So why is it fainter now than at start of cycle? I'm assuming ov is still a few days away.

Hello everyone, just wondering that your 'strategy' is for this month? I don't use OPKs (although I might look in to them) so i'm wondering if i should DTD every two days throughout the month rather than just around the time that my iPhone app 'thinks' i should be ovulating? I went with the latter approach last month and it didn't work but every two days feels like quite a commitment!

My cycles were about 26 days, so plan was to DTD every 2 days from about day 10-16 with maybe a few extra throw in here and there.

I'm OPKing this month though as I had a 35 day cycle last month so have no clue whatsoever when I'll ov. We're only on cycle 2 though so DTD lots anyway as its not a chore yet! Haha.

My strategy was my CBFM - ordered it as soon as AF showed up. It only turned up today. Didn't realise that you need to switch it on within 5 days of AF starting....oh well.

Charted my temps last month for the first time and noted the post ov rise so going to aim for that time this month (which is luckily over bank holiday weekend!)
I think my prob in previous cycles was starting to DTD too early in the month and then it becoming a chore....I feel your pain Bellaboo and yours Misstiggy, my best friend and another vg friend fell pregnant without even trying, over the moon for them but so very jealous at how easy it was for them.

We've not really decided on a strategy.
Final pill tonight and after AF will be giving the OPK strips a go to see what day I'll be OVing - I was given a ton of strips for free - I've not got a clue.
I don't think we'll be really serious this month - just see how we go but next month it'll be serious Shettling!!

Thanks minilop. Glad to finally be able to talk about it as keeping it on the down low! This is my third cycle off the pill so hoping they have settled down now. Was playing it cool but have turned into a poas addict with opk's!

Haha newboots! I've only just come off the pill myself. Going to try not to use OPKs for now, otherwise I will soon be an addict! Don't think I'll be able to resist for long though!!

So something strange has happened. I was doing opks and got a strong positive at the weekend that went negative on Monday so took that as I'd ov'd. Because we decided to dtd every other day this month we cracked on even though I was 3dpo. Then, just as an out of interest exercise I did another opk last night, well actually I ended up doing 2 and they both came up within seconds and were twice as dark as the control line. Bear in mind yesterday was c29 (I have long cycles but I've never been this late to ov). Anyway I'm really glad we kept dtd as I might now be back to 1dpo but this would mean my cycle would be 44 days - agghh! So confused, has anyone else Goya +ve opk, then a neg and then a +ve days later?

As af only turned up yest I haven't thought of a strategy yet. Suppose i better get my arse in gear and get some more ov sticks lol

Hmmmm. Odd! Well in that case, if they are strong positives then go with the later ones? Whichever was stronger basically. Keep on dtd and then at least you have covered all grounds . Cycles are funny things!

misstiggi sometimes the first lh surge doesn't result in ovulation so it can try again with another surge (quite common apparently), so I would keep on dtd! Then if you don't get your bfp (which fingers crossed you do!!) then you will know for sure which one was ov when af arrives. V frustrating!

I've just had a funny convo with OH who hadn't thought we were TTC yet, he'd geared himself up for after another pack or pills!
I did tell him this was a settling month!
