Morning all! I am almost certain I ovulated yesterday (very positive opk and bad pains) but waiting to confirm this with three consecutive days of higher temps. But in theory this is 1dpo. The ttw begins! ARRGHHH I hate it haha!

Buckled today and bought some Guaifenesin cough syrup... Eep! Am now CD22 and still no egg, but I think it's coming in the next few days so pulling out all the stops!! Washed it down with my regular grapefruit juice... All these tricks thanks to you lot! Will let you know if they work ASAP...

chandlers let us know how you get on with the cough syrup. My verdict? Not sure. I didn't get any more ewcm than usual around the actual day of ovulation, but got LOADS about 4 days before! Which isn't much help really. Oh well!

Interesting hanflan, thanks! Have you (or anyone else!) tried the pink grapefruit juice thing? Have heard so many people on here say it worked for them... I've been drinking a glass every morning from CD1. Haven't ov'd yet but keeping an eye on CM! Nothing to report yet.

chandlers I haven't tried it as I'm not really keen on grapefruit... did the cough syrup thing instead as supposed to have same effect. If I'm not successful this month I might just grin and bear it and do the grapefruit juice next month! Will let you know in around 12 days time

Chandlers does it have to be pink grapefruit juice? I have been trying to drink a glass of grapefruit juice each day but haven't noticed any real difference. We are on our second month of using conceive plus.

On day CD18 - had expected to ovulate yesterday (based on last months chart and high OPK) but no temperature increase this morning...DTD yesterday morning and evening but looks like we're going to have to keep going. Starting to worry that I have a luteal phase defect.

That's for all the congrats, so excited although very aware that I mc'd at 7 weeks last time so have everything crossed.

So my stats are;
29, cycle 5/6/7 (can't quite remember), cycles of between 33 and 43 days, I also have pcos.

We dtd every 2 days from the end of af right up until today -exhausting but worth it! Also used preseed and I was taking folic acid as pregnacare didn't really agree with me.

Used opks and glad I did as I ov'd 4 days after I thought I was going to.

Treacle I totally agree that I've lost my tolerance to alcohol since cutting down massively at Christmas. I drank 6 thirds of a pint of craft beer over about 5-6 hours at the beer festival I went to on Sun and should not have been as merry as I was!

I had a really rough night last night; barely any sleep, nausea and dizziness. There's every possibility it's just stress (thanks, work!) but I have a little bit of hope that maybe it's implantation?

Unlikely to be implantation if your positive OPK was this weekend-implantation tends to be 7+ days after ovulation, which is likely to have been the day after or two days after the result. It could be a big progesterone surge as your egg releases though. I would recommend DTD for a few days after a positive opk result, even 4/5 days if doing SMEP, Let's hope it's a gooden' for you

Is it quite common to have AF less than 14 days after ovulation? AF is due next Monday and I've only just got my first pos OPK over the past few days - I know my cycle tends to run on the long side, just wondered if it's a flexible 'rule' that ovulation to AF = 14 days!

freneticfox luteal length (time from ov to AF) is different for all women, but tends to stay the same every month, i.e, if your luteal phase is 10 days, it will probably always be 10 days, every month.
I would recommend signing up to fertility friend (there's an app too), it's really interesting and will give you loads of info like that. I'm currently not tracking BBT, but use it just to track AF and CM at the moment, still quite handy!

Fox Before my early mc, my luteal phase was 11 days (ovulation usually CD19) but past two cycles since, have been anovulatory so hoping this cycle my body plays ball!

Quick question-

My last doctors appointment I found out I wasnt ovulating and that she was going to refer me to Gynae. The Gynae appointment isnt until the 19th June.

Would you still obsess and keep trying even though theres no chance with the not ovulating??

Im still a pretty regular 28 day cycle apart from last month due to wellwoman conception vitamins but I kind of feel like its a waste of time now.

If it was me, Blueberry I would temp, as at least that's free and gives you a fighting chance to see if you are ovulating some cycles but not others. Sorry that your previous results gave you that news. I understand how frustrating it is when nature won't even give you a fighting chance!
