Lovely positive posts this morning and its sunny here !!

poppet85 · 14/05/2014 13:38

We're terrible for laughing before sex sometimes we do really have to pull ourselves together !!! Grin

macmissy · 14/05/2014 14:03

I am grinning at my desk thinking about it!

poppet85 · 14/05/2014 14:50

Hope that doesnt sound too bad we just make stupid jokes alot of the time !!

kitkatkaty87 · 14/05/2014 14:55

we do also, sometimes during too if something is funny :P

OP posts:
macmissy · 14/05/2014 15:04

I don't think I could carry on if we were laughing during!

poppet85 · 14/05/2014 17:07

Oh no I couldnt if it was during .I hope ttc doesnt drag too much that we loose that element of fun !

lillamyy1 · 14/05/2014 17:11

HAHAHA popple re. "having a fall". Grin That's such a good point.
Ducky, love the sound of a christmas outfit for your little babba!
Who wants to find out the sex of their baby before it's born? I want to but DP doesn't!

macmissy · 14/05/2014 17:15

Yeah, I hope not too! That would be awful poppet

Definitely not lil I don't have enough surprises as an adult in my opinion so I don't want to know at all!

LuluJakey1 · 14/05/2014 17:19

Been to see GP. Very reassuring. Agreed with date around 14th January as delivery date but said first babies often late. BP fine. Have to go next Tuesday for blood tests- Thyroid levels check. Is going to refer me to consultant led care because of Thyroid. Might get an early scan in 3 weeks, consultant will decide . I thought she would do another POAS but said CB very accurate.
Feeling fine. DH insisted on coming with me and seems reassured. Is making some tea and as we are home early are going to have a lovely lie down with a mug of tea in a cool bedroom and just relax.
We are now referring to 'it' as Smudge. GP said it is just a smudge at the moment, so tiny. Seems nicer than 'it'.

lillamyy1 · 14/05/2014 17:20

Really? I just couldn't bear that they'd see at the scan so someone else other than me would know!! I also imagine I'd feel closer to it in a way... and wouldn't have to call it "it"!

Ducky23 · 14/05/2014 17:30

Id Deffo have to find out! And DH would. I'm not good with the whole surprise thing. I also like to give them their name Smile. And the whole nursery, bedding, blankets, bottles, toys, dummy's, clothes etc are ALL pink!! So would have to get everything all over again if it was a boy! And re decorate! Don't think it would be fair to let him sit in pink clothes for photos ha Smile

Lulu I'm glad you feel reassured, I like smudge! I call mine bean Smile seems a lot nicer than it.

Is anyone else/ has anyone gone straight to formula feeding? I don't want to breastfeed, me and my brother were never fb either. Dh's mother seems to think I'm the worse person on the planet for it though and doesn't mind being vocal about it. Apparently it means I don't care about my child! Lovely! She's so supportive Confused

macmissy · 14/05/2014 17:31

Ah Lulu smudge is much better! I like that!

I think I'd give 'it' a nickname - but lord knows what - my god son was called 'miglet' as his dad is called Miguel!

LuluJakey1 · 14/05/2014 17:39

I don't want to bf. Much prefer idea of bottles. DH can play a full role then at night and whenever. I would not cope with bf in public. I was not bf, nor was DH. He will be reading up on it I know! Am expecting to have a number of discussions about it! Grin

LuluJakey1 · 14/05/2014 17:42

DH asked GP about sex during pregnancy 'just to be sure it's ok'. She said fine up until water's break!
He is now in the shower! Thinks his luck is in. Got another think coming.Grin

poppet85 · 14/05/2014 17:43

I would love to not find out but Iam inpatient and want to know everything I could go without knowing !! Ladies Ive just done some calculations and think I finally have worked out the day I ovulate !! Day 10/11.Last cycle I had a sharp pain on that day didnt think anything of it and we have never dtd on this day !We've either gone too soon (me not adding up right!) Or later !!
I maybe just be clutching at straws but Iam happy to go with that ,will see what the opks say tomorrow !!

lillamyy1 · 14/05/2014 18:07

Ducky, you wouldn't HAVE to change all your baby stuff if it's a boy - after all, Prince George wears pink and he's obviously the first word in baby attire Wink
lulu you make me laugh Grin Glad all went well at the doc's!

I just had a look on my niece's facebook to have a look at how her babies (she's got 2!) are getting on, and really wished I hadn't! I know it's awful of me but I'm soooo jealous of her being married and already having 2 babies. She's only 19 or 20. Makes me feel like Mrs Haversham!!! Her first was born just after I had the abortion that I massively regret and I've always secretly been green with envy that she was already financially ready and with someone who wanted a baby at that time and I wasn't. I feel so bad for feeling like that but it's so hard because I don't see her very often now because of it, even though we were really close when she was growing up - she was like my little sister and now I feel like she's my older, much more mature and experienced sister!!
Sorry for the rant - I'm trying to come off my antidepressants and I think it's turning me into a bit of a misery at the moment Confused

LuluJakey1 · 14/05/2014 18:19

This is all such a minefield lilla Someone at work has just had an MC, someone else is having IVF, three others are pregnant, another has just had her 'tubes scraped' whatever that means, another had a MC two years ago and cries at the mention of babies and I am quietly hugging my Smudge to myself. They are just the ones I know about. It is an absolute minefield of emotions and sensitivities and must cause so much distress as well as happiness.

poppet85 · 14/05/2014 18:34

Illa I think we've all felt like that .One of my best friends met her husband same time as I met mine.Shes now on baby number 2 and truth be told Iam dreading when it arrives because thats all everything will be about !!I feel awful for thinking that !
I think you can loose bit of perspective when tcc especially as no one talks about it in real life .So glad I found this lovely board !!

BearsInMotion · 14/05/2014 18:39

Totally! Several of my friends had babies close to when DD was born. At least 3 have had a second baby and another was on FB complaining about the size of her bump. Am happy for them but :( as well Confused

MrsPopple29 · 14/05/2014 18:43

Love smudge, that's so cute!

And I think I would want to find out the sex of the baby, but not tell anyone so it's still a 'IT'S A BOY/GIRL!' surprise!

LuluJakey1 · 14/05/2014 18:45

Lilla DH just done his dance round bedroom in his pants as he sings 'I'm too sexy For My'. No response from me except laughing. Has given up and gone downstairs threatening to 'get' me later. Daftie! He does entertain me but he had a wasted shower.

Ducky23 · 14/05/2014 18:55

I would have to change everything! It's all so girly! If it was a boy I just couldn't be that mean! Grin

I would feel uncomfortable bf in public and I think if it makes you uncomfortable the baby will pick up on that. I WILL NOT have the mil from hell bully me into something I don't want to do! Grin

Lulu, be warned, I hae read that after sex you can sometimes get some spotting, something to do with your cervix, won't harm smudge

Cupcake92 · 14/05/2014 20:23

That's great lulu! Aw smudge! I like it! My DS was Peanut :)
I'd deffo deffo deffo find out the sex of mine, I can't help it, if have to know so I can buy clothes etc :p with DS I had a private scan at 16 weeks to find out the sex :)
I bottle fed him as I was far too out of it after the csection I couldn't breast feed and he was starving bless him. But number 2 id deffo breast feed :) formula has cost me wayy too much money! It's so expensive :( I was buying a tub a week.

Bugaboom · 14/05/2014 20:46

Really worried. I'm having a light bleed. No cramps. There's not much I can do really, just wait and see Sad
