Hope your ok ducky. Do you feel ok? I hope my af is only 3 days - all this blood! I'm not used to it. Keep having toilet trips every 30 minutes to check I'm not bleeding everywhere. I said to dh we better get pregnant next month as I can't be bothered with this every month! Cerazette was brilliant in that way! My periods were never like this before (sorry if tmi) but it's just blood like if you cut open your leg or something! Nothing thick or clots or anything. Love how im freaked out by my own body doing something natural lol.
Hoping af stays away from you me! We are due another bfp on this thread!

I feel ok now, my knee has a massive bruise on it and I have a bit of a limp but I think I was more shaken up from it worried it would injure the bean. Confused Luckily my dogs heard me fall and came running to the rescue (by that I mean they all stood around staring at me like I was a madwoman until I got up)

I know what you mean being freaked out! I didn't find out until late in my pregnancy you can bleed for up to 6 weeks after Shock luckily mine only lasted a week and then I got AF 3 weeks after! I was hoping having dd would sort out my cycles as I've heard giving birth can do that but obviously it didn't as I didn't ov until around day 28 or 29!

We are Deffo due a couple of BFP's very soon! What's the nearest testing dates now?

bradders85 · 13/05/2014 19:23

Hi ladies, got my first smilie face on cb opk today which is cd 16. DP still away and may be home tomorrow night (fingers crossed) - is it too late already?! :(

Ducky23 · 13/05/2014 19:45

Bradder, I don't know much about the cb ones I only used cheapies. With the cheapies a positive meant you would ov in the next 24 - 36 hours. Is there a leaflet with them ones that say when you should ov after a positive? Then don't forget the egg can live for up to 12 hours so there's still hope Smile

What a crappy day, first the fall now DH is on his man period, think men get it twice a month. Confused

poppet85 · 13/05/2014 19:57

Bradders I think there is a bit of a risk of relying on opks, too much .Just grab hubby next time you see him and dtd !! Fx its within the right time try not to feel too down now ,I know easier said than done !!

LuluJakey1 · 13/05/2014 20:03

Ducky 14th January. GP tomorrow night. DH wants to come with me but I don't think there is any point. Nothing really happens does it at first appt?

LuluJakey1 · 13/05/2014 20:05

Ducky What is this about a fall? Are you OK? Shock

Ducky23 · 13/05/2014 20:20

I havent had a gp appt I went straight to the midwife Smile I don't think they would do much there Smile.

I slipped on wet tiles earlier Confused I landed on my knees though but had a bit of a panic after it happened!! Got a big purple knee now Blush

LuluJakey1 · 13/05/2014 20:30

I did ask when I rang up but was told to see my GP who has some sort of obstetrics and pediatric specialisms- 'cos of my under-active thyroid and rh-. She is a lovely GP- really highly regarded locally for pregnancy care.
I really trust her.
Glad to hear you are OK.

Ducky23 · 13/05/2014 20:41

Yea I think most people do see their gp first. With my first pregnancy my gps were pretty crap and just gave me a number for a midwife, then I changed gps and midwifes but this time because I was still in contact with my midwife I just called her up, I had to have a certain midwife as I have had problems with other midwifes Hmm my other one missed a lot of things with dd and from the pm results it looks like she didn't hear dd's heartbeat at my last appt with her and sent me home for 2 weeks when dd had passed Hmm.

Ducky23 · 13/05/2014 20:42

But good news is my current midwife is ace Grin and very helpful even if we are on the phone to her every 10 minutes Blush

LuluJakey1 · 13/05/2014 20:51

Oh Ducky, I didn't know you had lost a DD. That's awful! Was it long ago? Are you worrying more this time? Thanks

I have no idea really what I am doing. Just rang surgery and the receptionist spoke to GP and said she wanted to see me. DH has been 'reading up'. Thinks they might say I should have 'consultant led care'. I think that is why he wants to come with me.

Cupcake92 · 13/05/2014 20:58

I'm glad ur current midwife is good Ducky :) it's nice to have a lovely one.

I just want my bfp already!!!!

MrsPopple29 · 13/05/2014 20:58

Sorry you had a fall today Ducky, glad you're not hurt too badly though... (I wonder what age do you stop 'falling over' and start 'having a fall'? Confused)

Cupcake, sounds like you haven't missed the boat at all, it's so frustrating that even when you use opks you can't be sure!

And bradders, have you got a flashing smiley or solid smiley? Either way you should be fine!

Ducky23 · 13/05/2014 20:59

My dd was stillborn in feb lulu. Confused.

I'm considered high risk and have consultant lead care. I just find I'm very anxious about everything now, I made myself quite ill before my first scan the other week Confused they have mentioned sending me on aromatherapy and relaxation courses which will be nice Smile

Ducky23 · 13/05/2014 21:01

Hahah Popple! That made me chuckle Smile

It's guna happen soon cupcake I can feel it!!! Grin

LuluJakey1 · 13/05/2014 21:12

That must have been awful and it is all so recent. I am so sorry Ducky.

I am not thinking they'll do a scan until 12 weeks so that is a while off yet. DH thinks they might do an earlier one. I am expecting regular blood tests for thyroid monitoring and a couple of injections for the rh-

Just trying to take it day by day and not think about what could go wrong.

Ducky23 · 13/05/2014 21:22

I think (not 100% sure on this though) if it's a consultant lead pregnancy you get an early scan, I think most people have them around 8 weeks.

It was awful and I think after a stillborn some people are just desperate to have another baby ASAP as you've gone through a normal pregnancy and labor but have no child at the end. I'm just very lucky that it only took us two months otherwise I would have gone insane!

It's been an awful year so far this year lets hope we have a happy ending! My due date is 26/12/14 but I should be induced around 05/12/14 Smile

bradders85 · 13/05/2014 21:29

Thankyou for replies - Ducky I have just found the leaflet - apparrently LH surge occurs 24-36 hours prior to the release of an egg so you never know could still be lucky as spoke to DP and home tomorrow for sure!

MrsPopple, I don't think my cb opks have flashing smilies - nothing on the leaflet to say just blank circle or smiley face! Hoping not to get too addicted to using them - this is the first month - but was intrigued to see what day it happened although I know that changes too! :)

BearsInMotion · 13/05/2014 21:34

Consultant led doesn't necessarily mean early scan - I was consultant led and didn't get one! But that's because I'm considered high risk due to a neurological condition, it might be different if the baby is considered at risk.

I'd forgotten just how many medical appointments I had with DD - averaged at least one a week! Consultants were all ace, but I don't have the energy or time to do all that again! Hopefully I'm lower risk if they know I've done it before and I'm less paranoid :)

Ducky23 · 13/05/2014 21:38

I hope i have loads of appointments!!! Smile Haha. I really don't enjoy my job and that just gives me extra time off Blush

Bugaboom · 13/05/2014 21:49

What a lovely due date Ducky- a snuggly little newborn in time for Christmas.

Ducky23 · 13/05/2014 21:56

I know Grin I'm looking forward to a Christmas baby. Il have to get a really cheesy outfit for Christmas Day Grin

kitkatkaty87 · 13/05/2014 22:23

Aww Xmas baby - how lovely! Same about the job ducky - can't wait to be able to be off with baby. Come on bfp - next month bfp will be due weekend of my birthday :)

Ducky23 · 13/05/2014 22:36

Aww birthday share!!! Grin That would be nice!

Well the one of my dogs investigates every tiny little sound, the other two surprised me! They actually got off the sofa and climbed the stairs to see I was ok! They were probably just worried about their dinner Grin
