Oh Iam so glad its not just me !! I was starting to believe the doubts !! Kitkat just think next cycle you will know so much more about how body works, chin up !!

macmissy · 12/05/2014 13:49

Kitkat it's awful I know, but we have only been at this TTC game for 1 month - it will happen I am sure, we just need to keep our heads held high honey. I'm going to be spending my day eating Cake and drinking Wine (when I am not in the office) then will get prepared to DTD next week. I think we might be having too much DTD to be honest - sorry for the TMI!

KatoPotato · 12/05/2014 14:09

kitKat I went through that last month, my first ever ttc too. I just had such a positive feeling that it was in the bag. I've no idea how I'll feel this month, and hugfe respect to those who have been trying for such longer, but as DS was a happy accident I had no idea how wrenching this would be!

MrsPopple29 · 12/05/2014 14:38

The great thing is that we all started TTC at a similar time and so when we have irrational feelings (I also have doubts!) it's comforting to know we're not crazy and others think the same!

Sorry to all those caught by AF- after the initial disappointment hopefully it won't take long to get excited about the next cycle. For some reason I'm feeling much more relaxed this month (cycle 2). I think secretly I'm enjoying the drama not knowing when I get pregnant... (This will definitely wear off by cycle 3/4...!)

Femshep · 12/05/2014 14:41

Af has just finished so I'm excited to start ttc in ernest these next two weeks.

I doubt I'll be lucky enough to fall first try but you never know! Smile

poppet85 · 12/05/2014 14:45

After me and husband had just got married we were out one of our friends who just had a baby said to us "if you want a baby get going now it takes longer than you think , it took us a year !" At the time me and DH just laughted , wish we'd listened !feel like telling all my friends the same !!

Femshep · 12/05/2014 14:54

It took two years to conceive DS Sad but at least we have him now! I logically expect it to take quite a while. I'm just happy to be back in the process again after three years Grin.

Me624 · 12/05/2014 14:59

Most friends I've spoken to have said it's taken them around 6 months. One reckons she conceived the very first time she had unprotected sex! I guess maybe it does happen for a lucky few but we all think she's lying, she's always been ultra competitive and know it all.

I'll be amazingly lucky if my AF doesn't turn up but realistically my body is probably still adjusting - no periods at all for 2+ years while on cerelle, 8 weeks to get the first one after stopping, it was probably wishful thinking to think that the second one would come perfectly on time.

It's great to hear about so many other ladies in the same boat and fingers crossed we'll all get there before too long.

Cupcake92 · 12/05/2014 15:01

Sorry to hear Kitkat :( keep going on the positive thoughts! It'll happen :)
Because we conceived DS unexpectedly I thought it'd be so easy to conceive number 2! Boy was I wrong! I'd love it to happen straight away but I do have to keep telling myself that it could take a year

Ducky23 · 12/05/2014 15:10

I've heard that your super fertile after giving birth so maybe that's why it happened quickly for us? Or maybe I am just one of the lucky ones.

Can't wait until we all have our BFP's on here then we can be all moaning about waiting for scans and stuff Smile

Cupcake92 · 12/05/2014 15:33

Or moaning about that last month of pregnancy and how we feel so massive! Lol!
I struggled In my last month of pregnancy I was ridiculously huge and was in slow labour for 2 weeks of it!

I still really want that bfp!! :( only 6 DPO n already eager to test

kitkatkaty87 · 12/05/2014 16:37

Bleeding hasnt got much heavier, still nothing on liner. definate red blood though, will test when home to see what it says anyway.

Theres definately something addictive about poas my opks are just staring at me even though its slightly to early for me to do it I just want to use it !!

BearsInMotion · 12/05/2014 18:06

We were only vaguely trying when DD was conceived - like Cupcake I thought it would just be the same 2nd time round! Technically this is only cycle 3 so I shouldn't be worried yet, but it's easy to lose perspective!

Love the idea of us all moaning in 8 months that we're all the size of whales and can't wait to get those babies out though! and Ducky being smug coz she has a snugly newborn :)

Ducky23 · 12/05/2014 18:29

Ohhh that would be ace Grin

MrsPopple29 · 12/05/2014 18:32

Poppet, those OPKs are the only thing getting me out of bed in the morning!

And bears, I can't wait to moan about being the size of a whale! :)

poppet85 · 12/05/2014 18:45

It has made me promise to myself to enjoy pregnancy and having my baby , I have a few friends who update everyone how awful their pregnancy is and how tired they are once baby us born .Iam not say it must all be roses but they dont know how lucky they are !!

Femshep · 12/05/2014 19:00

I'm determined to enjoy this pregnancy. I had awful depression through my pregnancy with DS and with DD I was too young and totally terrified. Yep, going to do my best to savour it as it will be my last.

kitkatkaty87 · 12/05/2014 19:10

I was thinking that earlier. Now af has come it made me realise how much I won't take it for granted :)

Trying to be positive and think that at least my periods have returned some poor people don't get them for months after stopping. It also gives me a time to come off my anti d's completely and have the option to breastfeed. Positive kitkat is back (medicated by an emergency dominos pizza!)
I won't be using any tests until af is due next month though :) too confusing seeing faint lines.

OP posts:
KatoPotato · 12/05/2014 19:15

I want dominos!

We'll all get there, staying positive and motivated!

Opk's arrived today, but I'm on cd17 (app says I ov'd yesterday) do I have to wait til cd 13 next month or can I pee on one anyway??

MrsMck1 · 12/05/2014 19:29

Hi Me! My first af took 8 weeks to arrive after coming off the pill, but have been back to 28ish days since then so fingers crossed you get back to regularity asap. At least then you'll feel like you have a fighting chance. Fx

poppet85 · 12/05/2014 19:42

Yay !! Well done kitykat !!! You can now look forward to dtd next month !

Me624 · 12/05/2014 19:45

That's reassuring to hear MrsMck1. I really hope mine settles down quickly too, I thought we'd been dtd at exactly the right time last month but if my cycles are going to be longer then we probably weren't! Of course there is still a chance I might get a bfp but after the disappointment of a bfn last night I'm just going to wait for AF and only test again if it still hasn't come by next Sunday.

kitkatkaty87 · 12/05/2014 20:12

You may as well do an opk kato. Got to test them out! :p
