faint line on preg test and spotting. Is this doomed?

Just want reassurance please. I tested positive yesterday and today (4 tests so far!) but all the lines are faint. I have used First Response, Clearblue and Acon internet tests. I am also spotting/bleeding very lightly and have been doing since a few days past ovulation. I am only 4 wks and 1 day but feel this pregnancy is already doomed (my last 2 pregnancies have ended in miscarriage at 3 months).

Please, does anyone have any experiences that might convince me all is not lost?

Bunny, I'm sooo hoping for the best for you, hun!! Hope you get the reassurance you need. Hugs xxxx

Eyelash, what are the other symptoms you mention? I have had so much reassurance, I am far less worried now but would be interested in other signs of possible miscarriage.

Thanks Jodee, Beansprout and Gingernut. Your foody names have made me peckish... oh well, I am eating for 2

I'm another one who had spotting. At 5 and 10 weeks when PG with Ds3 for a few days each time, probably nearer a week the first time.

The little bundle is snoring upstairs now.

Congratulations

I spotted at around 5 weeks pregnant on and off for afew weeks - got a couple of early scans and all was fine! Good luck Bunny2!

bunny2 - the main symptom I had with my miscarriages was the onset of a 'proper' bleed along with very severe lower back pain. Lower back pain and bad stomach cramps are an indication. BUT I have mistaken my uterus stretching in this pregnancy to stomach cramps so don't focus on this too much if at all. I understand the worry you have and even now I still check every time I go to the toilet and my excessive mucus at the moment often feels like I am losing something and I often hold off going to the loo just in case. And that is after 4 scans. So I do understand your stress.

When I was about 4 and a half weeks pregnant the miscarriage clinic checked my hcg levels which were very high and they said in the absence of a scan this was a very good indication all was well. I think the test is repeated in a 48/72 hour time frame. Is this a test you could presuade your doctor to do.

I am off to work now but will check later tonight to see how you are.

bunny2 - just to add (as last message didn't refer to it) but I and loads of mums on here (as you can see) have had varying degrees of spotting/bleeding with successful pregnancies. Please do try to take one day at a time and pester your doctor for the hcg tests (I bet the scan in two weeks seems so far off). But remember you are growing a baby and that baby is going through some amazing changes at the moment as is your body. So take it easy!

You're all gems! I am still spotting so I think a blood test is a really good idea. I shall try and get one this week.

yes yes yes to blood test, scan, anything they have going. I am so grateful for having had all of these things in both of my pregnancies. Go for it!
