Ladies, Fred title says it all; we are the ones who shag as much as our men can cope with in order to get upduffed without the stress of scientific whatnots!

Fred rules (copied from previous Fred)

  1. Thou shalt shag as much as humanly possible in order to get upduffed.
  2. Thou shalt not partake of OPKs, temping, or charting.
  3. Thou shalt keep symptom spotting to a minimum.
  4. Thou shalt share with your fredmates where needed.

JSing lingo

ERTD = Evil Red Tide of Dooooooommmmmmm. Or AF to most others.

Viroid = This is you, dear poster. This is from the first JS thread when someone tried to type 'ladies' and it autocorrected to 'Viroids' - so there you go!

Pant snot = Egg white cervical mucus.

Doing a kitten = Getting upduffed soon after joining (warning: may induce envy in other posters).

POAS = Pee On A Stick (of the pregnancy detecting kind, not from a tree). Also known as PIAR (Pee In A Ramekin - cos we're posh birds innit). Or PIATLH (Tea light holder) PIAWG (Wine glass) or anything else you care to pee in!

Shagging like something = JSing like a teenage nymphomaniac.

Giving a hooya = Giving a much needed slap to a fellow poster in danger of slipping into ttc obsession.

Contraband = Of COURSE none of us EVER partake of any silly OPKs or temp charting. They are Contraband.

Icing = ovulating. Another autocorrect development!

Getting your Cape on = planning some serious pouncing on DH/DP

RPopz · 12/04/2014 22:26

Yeah good call on bgt. It was total shite. Am letting DH watch his bloody wrestling matches since tv is so dire!

lil1ady · 13/04/2014 00:26

wtf is bgt? ur all speaking in code, and its not jsing code!

I'm holiday packing and freaking out that I hate all of my holiday clothes! dh is taking me shopping tomorrow - win!

sorry ur feeling rough min but ur right, u kinda called on the law of sod with the worrying you had no symptoms! haha. just remember u wanted this :P
seriously though, I hope you don't have it too long, and that you can try and find ways to manage it. hope ur dh is looking after you.

haven't been able to log in all night. finally went in the website and realised they'd reset all our passwords! not exactly made obvious, it was second article down!

for those who don't know the issue is called the heart bleed bug and affects lots of sites. its not so much about using same passwords on multiple sites, its any passwords on affected sites. hopefully most will take mn approach of forcing us to change passwords, but its worth changing email passwords etc to be safe, even if you change it now, then again when they apply the fix multiple sites are affected as the bug is in the technology they use to create the websites. there may be some minor inaccuracies in what I'm typing as in regurgitating what dh (IT website builder nerd!) has told me.

Now, reading about Chinese takeaways has made me hungry! off to find food!

ZylaB · 13/04/2014 07:00

So the cb ovulation test thing says I'm peak fertility! Finally! On cd21 ( wtf?!)

may have just woken poor DH and insisted he JS me despite him only getting home from a night out about 6 hours ago lol

All these days of high May put us in the running for SOTM tho? We're on 9 and counting! poor bloke

Minion · 13/04/2014 08:03

lil bgt is britains not got any talent.
Ghastly programme IMHO.
zyla I've seen loads of people who thought they ovulated at the standard 14 days and then used a cbfm and got a late ice! You may be in luck sister x go forth and bone!

lil1ady · 13/04/2014 09:18

zyla I'm a late ovulator. I knew this before cbfm though as my cycles were never less an 34 days! how long are ur cycles? you'll be able to calculate what ur lp is this month and check that's all OK so there's another plus! you could just be ov late this one month though, don't let it stress you out.

ahhh bgt, I was trying to think what on earth it could be. I've never watched it. and I can't stand x factor or such like either. I waste my time on t'internet instead!

Wilhelminand · 13/04/2014 09:30

Good effort Zyla. Think it'll be between you and Lala.

Well this ERTD is a bitch! Worst one I have had since my teenage years. My daughter is going nuts, clearly wanting to go out somewhere but I feel crappy. Plus where can you go at 9.30 on a Sunday in bad weather?

Does anyone have exciting Sunday plans?

RPopz · 13/04/2014 10:44

Mr cbfm says HIGH here!! Though I am a bit suspicious its autoprogrammed for the first cycle or something as I'm on day 14.... my cycles are 35 days so would've thought icing would be later...? Unless I'm going to have a million days of high in which case I might be in for sotm too haha. Was ridiculously excited this morning anyway!

I love X factor, the voice etc... BGT was pretty lame though.

Its sunny here Wil!

aylesburyduck · 13/04/2014 11:01

lil I was the same - couldn't log on - was nearly throwing a wobbly. logged on the puter and found out that the lovely peeps at MNHQ had re-set! Phew!

Mr Duck is on nights, I am cooking up a storm and making his dinners for the week (go me!) and watching the marathon on the telly. Yeah can't see me doing that in a million years but kudos to them!

x

ZylaB · 13/04/2014 11:18

My cycle can vary between 30 and 35 days so we'll see.

DH just went all accusing and said "I didn't go back to sleep after you raped me earlier!"

Just pointed at the smiley face stick and said nothing. Mwahahaha

cookielove · 13/04/2014 11:21

Has anyone heard from bear?

RPopz · 13/04/2014 12:10

Rape! Haha, aren't they funny.

Mr Rpopz is finally on board it seems after seeing the. HIGH! Demanded we use th preseed this morning. Stuck a pillow under my bum while we were JSing... Patted my tummy on his way out of bed saying "come on guys!" !!?! On Friday night he wanted me to give him a full explanation of the female menstrual cycle, ovulation, fallopian tubes, periods..... lol. Clearly wasn't paying attention in his gcse biology!!

ZylaB · 13/04/2014 12:14

Aww, it is nice when they actually want to be involved beyond the JSing though :)

RPopz · 13/04/2014 12:21

I was just like: we've been ttc for 6 months, I'm leaving for work in 20 minutes, we've just had to speed js in the hour between you getting home and me leaving.... and you want to know this NOW!? Lol.

Right off out to enjoy the sunshine with the pupster! Have a great day viroids :-) x

JuniDD · 13/04/2014 12:49

hi all, lots to catch up (and I discovered an old MN account which I initially logged into with a new password. That was scary!)

Sorry about the vomming minion. My mum always says it's good, shows high hormones. My SIL and I are a bit Hmm at her but hey ho. I've got my 12 week scan tomorrow (SHITTING MYSELF) and starting to feel a lot better, even the thirst is heading off, although if I drink less I get headaches so win some, lose some.

Sorry about horrible ERTD wil, I hope it goes off soon & you have good painkillers.
Where are you off on hols lil? Hope you had a good shopping trip!

We're having a lovely weekend, spent some time with the nephews yesterday & DH took a picture of me with them - I appear to have a bump!

Right on with the day, trying to force DH into getting some stuff done around the house that I can't do and he's wasting time doing weights and eating a 7 course lunch. GRRRRR.

Wilhelminand · 13/04/2014 13:44

oooh RPopz get shagging! I am fast learning it is always sunny everywhere else! That is so sweet of your DH. Mine does not have a CLUE about how it all works. I had to explain the other day that there is only a short window each month for getting pg (as a way of convincing him I wasn't just having sex to get pg because it was past ovulation). He doesn't actually believe me Hmm.

Juni, good luck at the scan. I hope it's actually enjoyable, once you have confirmed all the necessary parts are there and in tact!

lala5 · 13/04/2014 16:25

Happy Sunday viroids!

Twottity twottity twot twot twot, symptom spot, twot.
(not on the brain at all)

Thinking positively today - my mate just went into labour who got pg by accident - although not sure it can technically be an 'accident' when you're not using contraception and are having sex. Soo excited to meet her wee boy.

Red how was the reunion? Did you make up any fibs about inventing post-its, a la Romy and Michelle?

RPopz you strayed in dangerous 'preggers by accident' forum territory - it's a disturbing place!

I have this thread as a favourite, I don't look at any others. I was on another one for a bit but it was all doom and gloom, not half as friendly as this one.

Took me ages to work out what cbfm was - finally got it. I don't use that (far too expensive) I use the normal cb ones. I presume I ovulated when I thought as I had a smiley face then it went away again. It's totally possible to be mistiming the JSing - my phone app has finally got it down to the right couple of days after 7 months.

Lots of chat of chinese and vomming - love the contrast, or are the two linked perhaps?

lala5 · 13/04/2014 16:36

zyla you're definitely in running for SOTM - I'm keeping track on my phone, we did cd7,14,15,16,17,19,20,21 and according to opk I ovulated on 20. Got negative opk test on 22 so stopped (ha ha poor dh, he was enjoying our little streak!)

Have to say since then I've been away with work so little opportunity.

bgt - never seen it. Do love X Factor - well, used to, it's a bit poo these days.

Sunday's been uneventful so far - me and dh are doing our usual movie-watching with cider and the cats. Bliss! :) Although I'm only having a bit of cider, just in case...

RPopz you cracked me up with your mr Rpopz description. Mr La just laughs afterwards, duly shoves a pillow under my ass and then goes to sleep. He does like to poke fun at me, such as calling me a 'sperm bank'.

I did feel very strange last week on cd 19/20, like I was a little 'full' !!! No wonder :)

ZylaB · 13/04/2014 17:18

We're having a chilled out Sunday too, it's nice as the last few weeks have been manic :)

dulcetmoan · 13/04/2014 21:04

Well what a bloody palaver it has been to get in here! You may have noticed I have lost me 'S' on the username. I had to set up a new account! I can't reset my stupid password because I signed up with a stupid fake email account that I have never logged back into. Back in 2012 when I joined I was worried about being found out. Did not think it would lead to this!

I know it doesn't really matter but I am feeling pretty put out about losing my account. That's who I was! Its got all my stuff in it!

Anyway, I have just read through and caught up. Just was: sickness, sunshine and SOTM candidates. Couple have a couple in the running. I'm only onto number three this cycle but at CD9 I don't think that's too bad!

RPopz · 13/04/2014 21:14

How weird that I've literally only just got an email about this password thing! And I'm still logged in on my phone?

Wilhelminand · 13/04/2014 21:35

Apparently it won't kick you out but will make you change it whenever you try to log back in.

That's crap Dulce: about the account, not the shagging attempt! I'm determined for this cycle. No more half-hearted attempts because this whole thing is quite frankly driving me nuts.

Lala if last week was CD19/20, are you testing soon? Because we're halfway through the thread and we need to ramp up the BFPs...no pressure Grin.

lala5 · 13/04/2014 21:52

wil don't tempt me :D it's not like I'm counting the days until I can or anything. I think earliest is next Wed. Trying not to symptom spot and carrying on as normal in the meantime.

C'mon BFPs! This is THE fred, remember?! Plenty of potentials... I think SOTM is out of my reach as I really can't be bothered to get my cape on any more this month, much to disgust of dh!!!

Happy JSing shaggers!

dulcetmoan · 14/04/2014 11:54

Are we having a quiet day or is my app not working? Got no updates since half 9 last night, that never happens!

Logged me out on my phone RPopz, that's the first I knew about it.

Sunshiiiiine again! Hope you can all see the sun.

Minion · 14/04/2014 13:03

Think it's a quiet one dulcet. I've been in the office proofing a booklet that goes out to all crew, hoping I can get in they department from next week... They said they need me so here's hoping.

Btw, they never mentioned the trapped wind.. Good god it hurts

JuniDD · 14/04/2014 13:12

Oh dear minion sounds like you're having a hard time. I didn't get any proper symptoms til 6 weeks.

Well, had scan this morning and it's still in there! Official DD is one week ahead so 21 Oct. Just waiting for the screening results and then I may unclench. A little. Wink Wink
