missmrsmummy · 20/02/2014 10:48

I'd like to join the queue for a Christmas baby, please! I wanted an Autumn baby but that ain't happening and it's already my birthday and Christmas in Dec but I don't care any more... I just want my bfp!

missmrsmummy TTC#1, cycle 4

Serenitysutton · 20/02/2014 11:13

Hmmm I know I'm probably symptom spotting but I am wondering if the pain I have slightly to the right could be implantation pain. How many DPO does the egg implant?

EnglishGirlAbroad · 20/02/2014 11:16

Serenity - implantation range is usually 6-12dpo, with 9 being most common

lindamagoo · 20/02/2014 11:21

mama I've always had problems with af, sometimes got it every 2 wks and other times once a year, really really bad problems with cysts and hormone imbalance that nothing helped with then suddenly at 36 years old my cycle became regular as clockwork I lost some weight and was pregnant within a few months then along came baby #1 Smile

Moonbeam83 · 20/02/2014 11:30

Morning ladies,

This 2ww is killing me, I'm only 4dpo trying my hardest not to symptom spot but my boobs have been so itchy since yesterday.

Fx for some bfp Grin

Sparrowlegs248 · 20/02/2014 11:31

Does anyone know how long implantation pain can last for? I always assumed it was quite brief.

Serenitysutton · 20/02/2014 11:34

Thanks English girl. So I'm on day 9! Am sure it's nothing. Am going to be obsessed by it now. Once it's implanted is it connected to your blood stream?

mama31 · 20/02/2014 11:57

Wow Linda! That's amazing how suddenly your hormones just sort themselves out! Bodies are a mystery really!!!

I think I have a bit of hormone imbalance as I have a lot of spotting each month pre af! It's so annoying! Trying some new things to help it: vitex/maca and reflexology, this is my first cycle trying these things so I'm hoping to see some fast results!

Re implantation yes I think it's supposed to be around 6-12dpo however I would imagine that every twinge from 1dpo would be analysed! Haha!

gennibugs · 20/02/2014 12:06

I am failing miserably at not symptom spotting. So far at 9/10dpo Ive had sore boobs, headache, cramps and being very very hot for some reason.

It is probably nothing and just me looking for symptoms when reality it is probably as a result of the horrendous stress and pressure at work at the moment.

lindamagoo · 20/02/2014 12:15

mama I still get the pre-af spotting aswell, usually starts about 5 days before af, as if af isn't bad enough we have to get that too Hmm

ZippyBoo · 20/02/2014 12:18

It would be so much easier if we knew for sure, my DH said something the other day that made me realise how much he wants this too. Our life and careers are on hold until we know how things are going to work out (we both want to change jobs but need the security and maternity pay if we are lucky). We invest so much emotional energy and we know not if this will bring untold happiness or unbearable sorrow.

I'm only on cycle 3 and just beginning to realise it's not as easy to get pregnant as you think when diligently using contraception. I worry about all the reasons I could be infertile, age being the most prominent concern.

Hmm
gennibugs · 20/02/2014 12:25

That makes total sense zippyboo what you have said there - I think a lot of share the same worries.

I dont know if I am over complicating things but I have been invited to a spa day at the end of March. Its really quite expensive and I keep thinking if I get my BFP I wont be able to use any of the saunas, hot tubs etc so what shall I do as it would be therefore be a bit of a waste of money. They want the full amount up front so Im guessing it wouldnt be refundable. Whilst normally I believe in just carrying on as normal until I get the BFP I dont know what to do about this! What would you ladies do?

Serenitysutton · 20/02/2014 12:32

Genni I would go. There should be stuff to do apart from
Sauna / hot tubs (I personally would put very little value on those in terms of cost of the day)

EnglishGirlAbroad · 20/02/2014 12:51

I'd go too. And I'd use the facilities. As long as you don't go crazy they're ok. Not saying I'd use them frequently but a 10min stint and lots of water is not going to harm you or a tiny little bean. The guidelines are a precautions.

Serenity, I don't think the embryo is connected to your blood flow until at least 5 weeks. If you look at some of the online videos it explains it well. But it will start producing hcg as soon as it implants.

gennibugs · 20/02/2014 12:53

Thanks ladies

As soon as I wrote it I realised I was being silly so am going to go! :)

Serenitysutton · 20/02/2014 12:57

Brilliant thanks. I'm not going to agonise about whether to have a glass of fizz later then :)

indigo55 · 20/02/2014 13:22

Hi all! Hope its okay to join.
I'm on 3dpo and also symptom spotting (Early days I know, how painful!) lol. So far, for the past couple of days I have just being having mild pains in the tummy area, mostly during the night. Today there is nothing at all. I am due hopefully a BFP around the 4th March. Cycle has been playing around all over the place. So that has been the most accurate from observing the last 2 cycles. I am tcc#1 cycle 2 and really got fx for this month! Good luck to all you fine ladies xxx

SaRaRaRaRa · 20/02/2014 13:43

Sorry you are feeling low English x

Genni spa day sounds great, am envious! Glad you have decided to go! I only last 2 mins in a sauna usually as I feel like I'm going to pass out any longer than that!

Am feeling a bit meh today - no symptoms, ages before I can test... Am in limbo land. Would probably feel better if the sun would come out!!!!!

lindamagoo · 20/02/2014 16:25

Has anybody here used the mini pill noriday in the past? Was just wondering how long it might take for my body to get back to normal after it and when to expect af...

SaRaRaRaRa · 20/02/2014 17:00

I haven't ever used that pill linda so can't help, sorry x

lindamagoo · 20/02/2014 17:02

Thank you anyway SaRa

Sparrowlegs248 · 20/02/2014 18:42

genni I am going on a spa day with mum and sister on tuesday. Just realised i will probably be on the tail end of AF! Due tomorrow. Fab timing. Sure she will arrive as only dtd once anywhere near the right time and feeling crampy.

Also going to have a glass of vino later on. Feel like i need it today.

Also worried that age is not on my side. I'm 36. Saying that, my sister was careless with contraception for many years, and didn't use it at all for a few years with her ex partner. Then got together with a new partner, once unprotected and preggers at 38!! Then again once unprotected while BF baby 1 and preggers again! So i know it can happen easily enough. No help to me though as she wasn't even trying.

3isourmagicnumber · 20/02/2014 20:46

Hi everyone. This is my first time posting on anything like this so please bear with me if I make no sense. I have been reading through the posts last few days and would love to join in the chat. My situation is ttc #3. We have 2 ds and thought our life was complete until last sept I had a chemical pregnancy and everything changed. I became desperate for baby#3. This is cycle 1 for me and bfp due 9th march. Hoping for everything to go to plan like both ds however sept experience has me worried. Thanks for listening. Good luck to each and everyone of you xxxxx

3isourmagicnumber · 20/02/2014 21:07

Forgot to say chemical pregnancy in Sept was unplanned xxxx

Choccywoccydodah · 20/02/2014 21:53

Hi 3!! So sorry about your chemical in September, really awful experience. Really hope you get your sticky one soon Smile

English sorry you're feeling crap.

Spa day sounds fabulous!!! So need a good bit of pampering after the last few shit months!

So, have my appointment Monday, am actually starting to dread it now. I just keep thinking they're not going to be able to do anything and they're going to say just keep trying and see what happens.

Got my progesterone results printed out from the dr, also my thrombophillia screen so hopefully the numbers mean something to them!!
Due to ov next Tuesday, so am hoping they may give me something to take to help it stick.
