If you’re over 30, ttc over 12 months and wearing nipple tassels under your snowsuit then this just might be the thread for you - if you can prove yourself bitter and evil enough. We’ll be the judge of that. Don your snowsuit , cowbell ready - fill in the BESHtionnaire and prepare to meet our icy glare. This is a marathon, not a sprint.

Storm would be awesome. I bet he would pop out doing "blue steel". It's that kind of name.

bugs I think having been there before makes the menkulling worse as it gives you something to compare it to.

FrankelInFoal · 04/02/2014 16:46

I got the Blackadder reference

If anyone has a surname beginning with H they really ought to do the honourable thing and ensure their baybee's initials spell out BESH Grin

Bugs, I got quite ill after ET for this diffment, full bloem cold and feverish. I was on a boiling the poor Lembie flap and kept my temp in check w paracetamol. Having said that I was fine during the previous implantations, so it might have to do with seasonal colds as well. Sorry for the men killing!

Hurrah for Kate and Bob being picked up tomorrow, hest. I liked having SB with me for the handhold emotional bits. I did hop on my bike straight after ET, tho. Physically it's piss easy. As to your mum and racy heart, a walk by the sea sounds good as do breathing exercises!

HesterShaw · 04/02/2014 16:54

I went for a walk by the sea this afternoon. I feared for my life! It's scary.

I vigorously cleaned bathrooms this arvo and am still suffering the side effects of over exposure to bleach. It's just seemingly impossible to clean the shower unit without almost passing out. We seem to have the hardest water in the world. . Not quite as dramatic as Hest's adventure by the sea but possibly a similar danger level. Maybe.

Hags I have a health quesht. My Womble has been aching (lowish level to droid level) for ages. And some more ages. It's doing my head in. It's like it's teasing me and saying 'haha ya bollocks, no baybees in here but we're going to fuck with you and make it feel like something is going on'. I've had it, I think, since about November. And droid is significantly shorter too. The last one was inly really a day and a half of full flow red. A day before and half a day after of the old looking stuff. Any thoughts?

eurochick · 04/02/2014 17:34

drizz the popping on your bike is so... Continental. :)

hest that sounds scary. Some of the pics of the waves have been crazy!

fab I'm stumped, I'm afraid. Might it be worth getting checked out for infections? It's not beyond the realms giving all the poking and prodding we have put up with.

HesterShaw · 04/02/2014 17:35

Powercut. Terrific.

No cooking. No warmth. No cups of tea. No light. No husband.

The sea front is shut to traffic because of the big hole and the incoming tide. If I brave the weather to go and get candles, that will mend the electric, so I may do that. Can't light a fire in this wind.

MY LIFE IS SO SHIT

Blimey it's an action packed fred at the moment! hest great news about Kate and Bob - will be thinking of you tomorrow. ET is the only bit of the process I haven't yet tried! Reall hoping we can go for it this month. I'm now menkulling about ovulating too early and not having enough time for defrosting. Menkul menkul menkul.

fab your droid sounds like mine - old, brown and not much of it. My GP just ascribed it to 'hormonal changes' though I didn't have the background cramps. I'd go and enquire to put your mind at rest if nothing else.

bugs sounds like you are doing all the right things. When is OTD?

ControlGeek · 04/02/2014 18:29

Sorry hags I'm really struggling to keep up - am reading on my phone when I can but watching my trying to type a message on my phone is a bit like watching a horse trying to peel an orange.

euro I haven't yet congratulated you on the teensy fingers and toes - congrats!

hest repeat after me, this too shall pass; this too shall pass; this too shall pass; ad infinitum. It doesn't help, but it passes a bit of time. I also didn't know you couldn't light a fire if it was too windy. Well done on the emby front, not long now before they start nestling in.

Loads of cramps here too, though in my case it's just the progesterone. Woke up at 2am with them last night, they were that bad I'd been crying in my sleep. I really wouldn't mind if I felt there was a hope that it might be all in a good cause, but right now I just feel I'm on a shitty rollercoaster that is insisting on pelting shit at me. On the positive side, I'm that busy trying to cram four weeks' worth of work into four days, that I don't have time to be in pain at work. Also, I have an interview tomorrow

Droid would be due on Thursday if it wasn't for the progesterone. Hopefully it'll stave it off until the weekend so I can get it out of the way in the comfort and solitude of my own bathroom!

FrankelInFoal · 04/02/2014 18:38

Remind me of OTD again Geek?

ControlGeek · 04/02/2014 18:41

Friday frankel, not long to go now thank goodness

I'd already had my BFP by this point in my last IVF cycle, and that was with a normally-progressing emby. This one was 6 cells at day 2, so had an 80-90% chance of being chromosomally abnormal, or alternatively a 10-20% chance of streaking ahead to early blasto. I'm sure if anything was going to have shown, it would have by now. I just have to be realistic about it or I'll go insane. I can't face going through a similar breakdown to last time, though granted that was made worse because I got, then lost, the BFP.
