Come to the BESH funfair - we have a coconut shy, apple bobbing, dodgems and much much more. The prizes? Shiny new BFPs, of course. You can only go on the rides if you're a barren 30plus-er, the entrance fee is one completed BESHtionairre.

bugs I hope you had a hissy fit

euro that dress is pretty and fun, you'll look lovely. I'm impressed by your relative going all out - that's the way to do it!

I did not get lucky last night. HWCA drank all the beer ever, and he is a total mess today. He doesn't do it often, maybe once or twice a year, so I'm being kind to him. Also I think I may have thrush, so sex shall continue to be off the menu until I no longer need a scratching post for my fanjo.

SinkyMalinks · 27/10/2013 12:58

Mmmmm. Scratchy Fanjo Winks...

Ghj has managed to break his arm, so sex (and, more importantly, the half completed house clear out!) is off the menu. And he's spent all morning sulking/moaning on the sofa. He now decided he can go out after all. I am remaining on the sofa with a cup of tea....

FizzyFeet · 27/10/2013 14:32

Hmmmm. Talking of action, I have a dilemma. The fertility drugs say strictly no shagging whilst taking them; however as I have no tubes there is no way I can get updiffed. But BUT I still have a lurking thought that I might be the second person in medical history to have a pregnancy with no tubes (there is genuinely one other documented case). Am allergic to condoms; never tried a diaphragm and never want to WWYD in this position, hags?

MyNameIsWinkly · 27/10/2013 14:50

fizz I'm a worrier, so I would probably stick to blow jobs and hand jobs in the meantime. How long is the shag ban?

OP posts:
SinkyMalinks · 27/10/2013 15:10

I'm not a worrier and have a bad habit of thinking I know best. I probably would, but not sure ghj would play along!

eurochick · 27/10/2013 15:12

fizz what drugs are they? We should be on a shag ban next month as I'll be having the scratch. I will of course be ignoring it. I'm stubborn like that.

Sorry to hear about the broken arm. Is he going to be boy-poorly about it?

winks if you could invent a fanjo scratching post, I reckon you'd make a fortune.

We're just been out for a blow around Greenwich Park (no, not that kind you flify minded hags). Tis proper windy out there. We also went shopping for a friend's one year old, and I didn't even feel like sobbing around all the cute baybee things. Now that's progress.

FizzyFeet · 27/10/2013 16:47

Divided opinions I see Grin

The drugs are for down regging - nafarelin to be specific. I take them until egg collection (which seems weird to be - you carry on but at a lower dose while stimming). ec is projected for 18ish November, though might be a week later owing to my numbskull approach to sniffing for the first few days. Humph. Might do some more googling on the risks.

evilgiraffe · 27/10/2013 16:55

Are you allergic to all condoms, fizz, or just the latex ones? You can get plastic ones, which might be worth a try? Even though you are almost certain not to get an ironidiff (and I'm not a worrier, really), I am very much of the "do what you're told" way of thinking, so would use some sort of contraceptive if possible, and stick to oral etc if not.

lovesLemonDrizzleCake · 27/10/2013 18:25

Fizz, we shagged thru IVF except when I felt like shit and refrained after ET and since but that is cos I am scared and still a bit spotty! Handjobs, yes, blows a little sickening at the moment...

eurochick · 27/10/2013 20:11

My clinic didn't tell me not to (but I had read on t'internet that some did), so I shagged while downregging. One of the egg buddies got her BFP while downregging. We were both on Burserelin.

Bugs I feel exactly the same - we are supposed to be doing ivf in November (3rd go, this time with addition of autoimmune drucks) and moving house in feb and the money is vey vey tight. We've pretty much decided to delay the ivf to march/April now to give us more time to get the dosh. Downside is I won't have any excuse not to lift boxes!!!

evilgiraffe · 28/10/2013 07:47

It's so ridiculously expensive - I guess we could have gone private earlier, but having good NHS provision meant it was worth waiting almost two years to avoid the cost. I don't see why funding isn't the same across the country.

Might have jerk chicken and rice in the canteen.

OP posts:
MyNameIsWinkly · 29/10/2013 12:36

Aw disappointed, it wasn't jerk chicken, and I've had to settle for a crap sandwich. Have some hummus and carrot sticks.

I just had a tuna sandwich and an apple. Not very inspiring I'm afraid!

eurochick · 29/10/2013 15:10

I went out for lunch with some colleagues from my old firm. Twas very nice. One of them is having IVF, so we commiserated with each other about the crapness of it all.

MyNameIsWinkly · 29/10/2013 15:42

Where did you go euro? I am meeting a friend and a smug non-friend for dinner tomorrow and need ideas

OP posts:
eurochick · 29/10/2013 16:25

Natural Kitchen. We always meet there.

What sort of place are you looking for and in what area?

MyNameIsWinkly · 29/10/2013 16:47

Somewhere not a million miles from Liverpool Street station, that is nice, not eye wateringly expensive, and that I haven't been to before. Should be do-able! Oh and that I can get a table in, tomorrow evening. The Natural Kitchen menu looks nice but the fetter lane one only seems to do lunch and the Trinity Square one is a bit hazy about their closing time.

OP posts:
eurochick · 29/10/2013 16:56

From Liverpool Street, I'd head up to Spitelfields. There's loads of choice there. Canteen is usually good but there are loads of other options too.
