Come to the BESH funfair - we have a coconut shy, apple bobbing, dodgems and much much more. The prizes? Shiny new BFPs, of course. You can only go on the rides if you're a barren 30plus-er, the entrance fee is one completed BESHtionairre.

That's pretty random. Is the child for sale?!

cherrycoconut · 19/10/2013 22:07

if so some serious gin consumption required.

Thanks for asking Fizz I'm doing OK ta, now I've recovered from a fairly violent s&d bug this week anyway. Bleurgh! On the plus side I've tipped off a few pounds in time for my bros wedding next week which is never a bad thing.

Sis is getting slowly stronger - she's having a trial night at home from hosp today and may be well enough to come home next week. She'll make this wedding yet too fingers crossed.

Just thought I'd add, I've been on the banana omelettes a la bugs stylee for brekky the last few days. Bloody amazing with cinnamon and a spot of maple syrup. Absolute ledge, thanks for the tip my fellow BESH.

BESHerday · 19/10/2013 23:56

hi bugs

fizzy We're not eligible for NHS funding for another year. Not certain what we'll do yet -

all fingers crossed cherry 14 isn't awful. It was more the shock of seeing it consistently high and to be pushed into IVF immediately.

hello to fab lemons sinks

late night wave to all

evilgiraffe · 20/10/2013 00:51

Glad to hear your sis is improving, coco :)

My journee: I'm draf, HOTB (him on the bike) and I are both spring chickens at thirty years apiece, and have been TTC since January 2010. We got diagnosed as "unexplained" in May 2012, and referred for IVF on the NHS in January 2013. I had a laparoscopy in May 2013 which resulted in removal of one tube and a shiny new diagnosis of stage four endometriosis (as severe as it gets). That was followed by three months of hormonal implants and then long-protocol IVF, in which two low-quality embryos were transferred. We got a BFP last week and are still stunned and disbelieving - early scan on 1st Nov may help it sink in, if all is well :)

In other news, we went out to see Captain Phillips tonight - absolutely superb film. Apparently the historical accuracy is somewhat dubious, but then it's a movie not a documentary, so I don't mind. We were late getting to the cinema so had front-row seats - all very immersive, but I was feeling quite queasy towards the end, what with the rolling seas and all. It is another fabulous demonstration of Tom Hanks' acting prowess, and we thoroughly enjoyed it.

eurochick · 20/10/2013 09:39

BESHer, if you can afford it, I'd get yourself straight to a private clinic. In most areas you can still use your NHS go when you get to the top of the list (but in some areas you do lose funding if you go private, so it's worth checking).

My journeeeee: I'm euro, 37. OH is KFZK (kung fu zombie killa, for past and present hobbies), 38. TTC since December 2010. Officially "unexplained" although my NK cell test was high and his SAs all hover around the low end of normal. Got diffed on my first cycle of natural IVF but lost it. Due date next week, so likely to be a bit mizz. Did 2 more cycles of natural IVF but only got chem pregs. Going for a stimulated cycle next, and trying to decide whether or not to change clinics to do it.

FrankelInFoal · 20/10/2013 09:52

I ought to summarise my journeeee too: Frankel, 32 married to HWHNN (He Who Has No Name - 38), started TTC in May 2010; 6 months without a period prompted further investigations which led to a diagnosis of PCOS in April 2011. Subsequent HSG and Laporoscopy confirmed no other issues & started Clomid. 5 rounds later no sniff of a BFP and tablets failed to induce regular ovulation. Some more waiting around for appointments before starting Ovulation Induction (low dose IVF drugs injected to stimulate follicle growth but actual sechs used to fertilise eggs). First round didn't work, second round produced a chemical pregnancy, third round was cancelled because they altered my dose too much and follicles stopped growing. Had to wait for droid to show up again, which took another 2 months and then restarted round 3 which produced a BFP in July! Currently almost 21 weeks diffed and still not quite sure I believe it, despite my expanding belly and norks Grin

Bugs, sorry about the insensitive announcements, who actually puts bump pics on their business page??

Yeah. Standard Bugs! Although, generally my dreams are with totally unappealing people so I don't feel so much Blush as Envy...

FrankelInFoal · 21/10/2013 07:42

Totally fine Bugs, though you are going to have to tell us who you were dreaming about Wink

FrankelInFoal · 21/10/2013 07:43

Oh and welcome back Drizz, do you have an early scan coming up shortly?

Am 19 weeks Bugs. Have 20week scan next Monday. Am, again, starting to brick it. Because nothing can just be simple and easy, eh?

Might bite the bullet and mention on fb following scan, but I'll provide an advance BESH warning first. GHJ has realised there a lot of friends we don't see regularly anymore (living in Ireland, Europe and further afield) but it might be a bit embarrassing to have not said anything down the line...

evilgiraffe · 21/10/2013 15:46

Sex dreams are ace, bugs Grin

Glad you're alright, driz! Fingers crossed for upcoming scannage (and sinks too) :)

Good news about appointment Bugs - if it's all paperwork on that day then you probably won't start stabbing until the next droid, also remember that clinics probably close over Xmas so it might not be until the one after that if your dates cross over ( mine did which meant I started down reg drugs mid Dec & stimms on Jan 2nd).

Hello new BESH. I'm Jethro - I've not long had my miracle baybee but like to pop up every now & again with my 2 cents worth & am always cheering the hags on from the sidelines.
