Come to the BESH funfair - we have a coconut shy, apple bobbing, dodgems and much much more. The prizes? Shiny new BFPs, of course. You can only go on the rides if you're a barren 30plus-er, the entrance fee is one completed BESHtionairre.

Have you been seen yet Bugs?

eurochick · 13/11/2013 11:11

I hope it all goes well bugs!

Mmmm, mince pies. Maybe next week...

I just got the dreaded call from the clinic with my AMH result - it's 15.2. Higher than it was 2 years ago! Confused I'm quite chuffed. I was worried about it.

Good news on the AMH results euro.

Your consultant sounds sensible Bugs, best to hold off on all the tests until you know what to concentrate on.

eurochick · 13/11/2013 12:12

Not all clinics use AMH Bugs. It's supposed to be a guide as to how much ovarian reserve you have left. It tends to go in one direction only - down - hence my surprise.

I think your consultant's advice is pretty sensible. You are young and have been pregnant, so you are a good candidate for IVF working well.

Definitely starting as soon as December is here, then. Scan went well, hurrah. Bean is no longer bean-like, but has grown arms and legs and an umbilical cord and everything. We've been released into normal care. All I can do is weep...

GingerScouse · 13/11/2013 17:42

Congrats driz!!!

eurochick · 14/11/2013 10:36

That's totes amazeballs, drizz. :)

Fabuluce · 14/11/2013 11:28

Wonderful news Lemon Grin how many weeks are you now?

Euro - fantastic about your AMH - how does that even happen? Does that mean they got it wrong the first time?

Bugs -great news on your consultant session - tick tock tick tock till stabbing time Smile

Xx

Excellent, driz :)

No-one ever mentioned AMH to us - I assumed if they thought it would be helpful they would have. I think that they just assumed I'd have plenty, being a relative spring chicken and all - which turned out to be accurate, seeing as they got ten mature eggs.

Fabuluce · 14/11/2013 15:37

I can't remember whether I've mentioned on this fred that my lovely Dad is extremely poorly but he's home now and defying all the medics by still being with us despite being in end stage heart and kidney failure! He's receiving palliative care and my sisters and I are taking turns on Dad (and Mum) watch. He's doing ok at the moment so one sis has gone home (Mum, Dad and eldest sister all live oop norf and other sis and I live in the home counties (dahling)) for a couple of days then I'll go home for a couple of days come Saturday - I'm really looking forward to going home to TWH - I miss him hugely when we're not together. What a sap!

All this RL stuff makes it easier not to think about the 3rd round of IVF I was going to do this month. Definitely the right decision to take a breather I think.

Some clinics won't touch you if your AMH level is low and some don't test at all - it's such a minefield. Generally speaking though, the lower your AMH the more challenging it can be to get updiffed.

Bugs I can't remember, are you NHS or private?

lovesLemonDrizzleCake · 14/11/2013 18:38

That sounds really tough, Fab! Hope you get a good time recharging at home!

YAY for the climbing AMH, euro! I firmly believe it to be a numbers game for you.

Ta all, 10+5 today :)

GingerScouse · 14/11/2013 18:42

Does anyone else find it a bit scary that foetuses have arms and legs by as early as 10 weeks?! I think I'd freak out a bit Blush

Hope you get some rest fab

FrankelInFoal · 14/11/2013 18:45

HWHNN is freaked out by the idea that at some stage he might see a foot/hand protruding from my bump! He said it would be like something out of Alien Hmm
