Come to the BESH funfair - we have a coconut shy, apple bobbing, dodgems and much much more. The prizes? Shiny new BFPs, of course. You can only go on the rides if you're a barren 30plus-er, the entrance fee is one completed BESHtionairre.

My hopes aren't up. I am an out-and-proud pessimist. But your boobs are interesting. Err - you know what I mean Grin

Sorry Bugs. Sometimes it's never ending.

And don't for a second worry about getting the besh hopes up. Remember we're a cynical, bitter lot. So feel free to menkul as much as you want. And tell us to shut the fuck up if we encourage unhealthy menkulling.

Hope though Bugs is what keeps us going. Even if we say we're giving up TTC or taking some time out hope is what lurks at the back of our heads whispering 'maybe this time...'

I know exactly what you mean, bugs - that absolute sense that it will never happen. HOTB saw some IVF person on TV the other day who was talking about managing expectations - she said "no-one ever goes into IVF expecting it to fail". HOTB was all Hmm "you're wrong". Every step of the way we (and particularly he) have had very little hope that it would work.

But people can and do get diffed (even the barrens), so who knows, it could be your turn. Fingers firmly crossed :)

bugs the BESH have form for the good old FCFU. You deserve one. And if you are pregnant, you will be on heparin from the get go wont you? So that will improve your chances. I know what you mean about managing expectations. I currently am quite pessimistic and feel like i sm just waiting to miscarry. Bastarding hospital have changed early scan policy.

Why would they wait till 7 weeks?
yeah, i am on clexane again, similar to fragmin its just another brand of heparin. I think it is cheaper than fragmin for the nhs.
i don't have a satisfactory amount of pg symptoms. Only a bit of tiredness, no boob issues, no sickness. Reminds me a bit of my second diff which was a blighted ovum.
i can pay for early scan but i am only just 7 weeks now. If the epu wont scan me before my booking in then i will have to pay. I prefer to be in the hospital, incase it is bad news. The first two diffs i got the bad news in private scans surrounded by pictures of 3d fetuses and adverts for getting your scan turned into a mouse mat or whatever. You don't get that crap in the epu.

but anyway, must try to think positive. I do already have a great baybee and although i will be gutted if this one is a duff, it wont be like it was before.

Too early for a definite result Bugs? Step away from the piss sticks!

MyNameIsWinkly · 03/11/2013 20:59

bugs!! It is far too early for peeing on things!

The clinic I had my scan in didn't have any tat at all, thankfully. It was a little like a WAG-infested posh dentists. With dildocams.

kat sorry to hear that you are worried. Hopefully an early scan will set your mind at rest. They do say that every diff is different, symptomwise.

I hope you all had good weekends. I had a boozy weekend of Irish craic. Twas great fun. I am v tired now though. (Photos on t'other place for anyone who is interested.)
