Your last thread got somewhat derailed so I thought I would treat you to a lovely shiny new place full of real open fires, fluffy blankets and an aga for baking bread and warming soups and stews. Back on with the job in hand ladies, lets have a round up of who's doing what and when.

I need to call my clinic some time this week. I have Thursday and Friday off work so will call then rather than risk more tears in the office if it gets delayed until Feb. Kind of distracted from it at the moment as MrG is very poorly with a spider bite. Apparently, cracking a joke about going shopping for red and blue lycra isn't funny Confused

NoMaybeAboutIt · 07/10/2013 19:36

Oh no! Poor MrG. How'd he manage that one?

Solars · 07/10/2013 19:41

Wow I've just been reading the whole thread and Cake lovely, I remember you too! I've often wondered how you were, that was a tough decision to make at the time and glad you've come out of it the other end and ready to start ttc again. Will be brooking for you heaps! I have only recently graduated so was here quite a while after you left!

Brooking for your interview tomorrow Scarlett

Good luck with the stimming Beedle

Big waves to everyone else x

ControlGeek · 07/10/2013 19:50

It was my fault, maybe - I was working all weekend so left him a list of things to do, including wood preserving the summerhouse. To do that he had to shift a load of bits from round the back of it, and that's where he reckons he was bitten. No sign of the little blighter so no actual idea what it was but there are a few contenders, judging by some of the stories of uk spider bites.

NoMaybeAboutIt · 07/10/2013 19:54

Oh no!! Has he got some antibiotics? Poor old MrG. Is he doing what MrM would do, and milking it for all it's worth??!!

That jam sounds amazing.

ControlGeek · 07/10/2013 20:04

Ended up spending yesterday evening at the hospital seeing the out of hours GP maybe - she prescribed ab's and piriton but there was nowhere to fill the prescription at that time of a Sunday. Managed to get it done today but by this morning the swelling had spread right up to his elbow. It's still spreading now, but at least it has slowed down. It's the itching that's driving him bonkers! He's ever so good though, he never milks anything. He's so un-man-like when it comes to illness. The pharmacist told him yesterday to go to a GP if it was no better by Tuesday - I was so worried that I did an AIBU about waiting that long because I'm a paranoid fecker and an arachnophobe to boot so that's how we ended up in OOH. Pics are on my profile if you want to see the grossness Grin

The jam is lush, by the way

NoMaybeAboutIt · 07/10/2013 20:12

Ouchy! That looks nasty Geek. He really is being a trooper.

As an aside, we have those placemats!!

ControlGeek · 07/10/2013 20:29

Ha! Just goes to show what good taste we Brookers have Grin

NoMaybeAboutIt · 07/10/2013 20:33

That goes without saying Wink

BeedlesPineNeedles · 08/10/2013 11:20

geek hope MrGeek is starting to feel a bit better, his hand looks really nasty. I hope its good news from the clinic when you speak to them

I'm still not feeling as hopeful as I did last time but I'm hoping that all the vitamins etc we've been taking will have done some good. and our doc did say that she thought we just had bad luck with the poor fertilisation rate last time so I'm hoping we have better luck this time

CakePigeon · 08/10/2013 11:40

solars it's really lovely to see you again, I'm so glad you graduated :) yay how far along are you now?

good luck for your interview scarlett good luck with your presentation, sounds like you are really well prepared though

sorry to hear about all the illness stacks and Mrgeek an actual flipping spider bite in the uk? that it truly terrifying although, as a full on phobic, it does give me some sense of vindication to all those who say not to be so stupid because they are harmless!

best of luck beedles
and best of luck for rat smacking nurse

keepitgoing · 09/10/2013 08:59

Brooking for beedles stimming tonight! And good luck Scarlett you'll ace it.

Hope the old fashioned rat smacking is going well for nurse fox stacks and the others x

NoMaybeAboutIt · 09/10/2013 09:56

Thinking of you Scarlett!

Good luck for tonight Beetle. You will have better luck this time x

How are the rest of the brookers? I hope you're all too busy smacking the furry rodent to post Wink

keepitgoing · 09/10/2013 10:50

Last night's house needed a bit too much work for the money they were asking, so my favourite is still the first one. Only problem is a fairly small, and north facing, garden.

Good luck for the MW appointment. Given you've got your own doppler it will probably be rather boring though. My next one is Thursday next week (34 weeks one).

I am working at home today and washing lots of baby things that we bought at the weekend, so they can go in my hospital bag. :)

keepitgoing · 09/10/2013 10:52

Oops, meant to post this on AN thread.

Fox82 · 09/10/2013 22:39

Hope the stimming went well beedles! And hope the interview went well scarlett??

No news here. Me and MrF have put in a good effort this month, so I'll be annoyed if AF arrives! Just starting the 2ww now [yawn]

So sweet washing the baby stuff keep. Exciting! Smile

BeedlesPineNeedles · 10/10/2013 09:12

Thanks fox 1st jab was done last night, only another 9 or 10 to go :o

Aww keep washing little babygros, does it seem real yet that you're going to have a screaming puking cute baby soon?

keepitgoing · 10/10/2013 10:16

oh beedle yay - well done! I think it goes fast once you start stimming until the tww... When's your first scan? You were quite fast at stimming last time weren't you? A fast grower.

No, it doesn't seem at all real, even though our house is overflowing rather full of baby things! I've not read anything on what to do with a baby once you have it. I don't know why, I think it's because it's still feeling unreal...

fox nice work on multiple rat smackings. I'm brooking that this is going to be your month. Anything fun to pass the 2ww?

NoMaybeAboutIt · 10/10/2013 10:19

Oh Fox the 2ww is the worst. Well done on the rat smacking action Wink

Glad all went well last night Beedle! Roll on EC.

Scarlett, fill us in!!!!!

BeedlesPineNeedles · 10/10/2013 10:22

keep I have a blood test on Monday and then if its teh same as last time a scan on Thursday, when they will hopefully decide when to do EC.
I'm sure you'll quickly learn which way up to hold the baby, and which end to put the nappy on :o

Stacks · 10/10/2013 10:26

Morning all. We're in the land of the 2ww here, though fertility friend has moved my ov date, and hence AF date a week further away! I'm going to poas when my Internet cheapies show up AF was originally meant to show up this weekend.

Beedle good luck. I've been brooking for you the last few days, I find it a bit hard to comment though, as I don't really know what you're going through.

I think about all you guys most days, whenever I cuddle my DS or smile at his cuteness, I think of you all and know how lucky I am. You will all have your little screaming, puking bundles of joy soon. {{hugs}}

ControlGeek · 10/10/2013 10:41

beedle well done on your first jab - the ball is rolling now, you are on your way. Lots of hugs to you and MrB.

scarlett when will you find out the result of your interview?

I called the clinic today as planned, but they still don't know when they will reopen following the refurb at Christmas so still can't tell me whether I can start downregging in November or if I'll have to wait until December. I need to call again in November, a couple of weeks before my next natural cycle is due to end. They can't fund my downreg drugs via the NHS contract (which I already knew anyway) and I was going to self-fund that part but the lovely nurse I spoke to today thinks my GP might be able to prescribe the drugs so I'm waiting for a call back from my GP to see if this is the case.

NoMaybeAboutIt · 10/10/2013 10:46

Geek what a mixed bag of news. It's bad they still can't give you a start date, but I'm so pleased your GP may be able to help with the dr drugs. That's fantastic news. How are you feeling? How's MrG now?

Stacks I bet you haven't missed the 2ww!!! Keeping everything crossed for you.

BeedlesPineNeedles · 10/10/2013 11:23

sorry you're still waiting geek though perhaps its better they admit that they don't know when everything will be finished instead of giving you a totally unrealistic date which they they postpone at the last minute. And I'm sure you don't want to DR longer than necessary. Hope teh GP comes good with a prescription, i could send you 10 million needles if you needed them, each vial of menopur (that has enough for 4/5 injections for me) comes with about 20 needles, so we're over run with the things!

stacks don't worry about not commenting, all brooking is gratefully accepted. Though I think the next week or so shouldn't be too stressful, I just need my bodyto concentrate on growing lots of nice healthy eggs.

NoMaybeAboutIt · 10/10/2013 11:37

Cups lovely, was it your interview this week? I have a feeling it may have been Tuesday. Though I could be making this up Smile. Hope all is well.
