We just got married in July and I always thought we would have a honeymoon baby. Well I got a BFN on my first cycle so didn't happen! So onto cycle 2...

Would be great to have someone on here to chat to.

Yes I'd POAS if AF hasnt turned up after 6 weeks to be sure.

Is everyone taking Folic acid and staying off the booze? I keep on forgetting both!

I have stopped drinking completely this week and I have been taking folic acid for about 2 months now

I'm taking folic acid along with calcium and vit d.. called folic plus I believe.

I haven't stopped drinking, but I don't drink much anyways. This past weekend was a bit of a change, actually, as I went to 2 weddings and got horribly drunk at one of them. I'm not yet on the 2ww, but I do definitely limit alcohol to the absolute minimum in the 2nd w of the 2ww, as apparently alcohol consumption can effect implantation according to embryo.asu.edu/pages/developmental-timeline-alcohol-induced-birth-defects

I've been taking folic acid for 3 months and have stopped drinking. But then I'm not a big drinker anyway. Not sure how long I will be able to remain virtuous!

Hello, this is my first time posting, although I've been having a look on here for a while. We got married in April and DH finally decided he was ready to TTC in July when I came off the pill.
My first cycle was 25 days, however I'm now on day 39, had a BFN today and not sure what to do next.
Should I go to the Drs or is it still too early do you think?
Just want to be one of the lucky ones who get their BFPs straight away!

Hi munday, I would expect all a doctor would say would be along e lines of letting your cycle settle down for a few more months before worrying about infertility. Apparently it can take up to 6 months for things to get back to a natural rhythm.

In the meantime, why not track ov and temps to be aware of what's going on?

Well I'm waiting for the thermometer to turn up and I guess I'll just have to be patient and wait this long cycle out to try to chart ovulation. i'm not very good at waiting for things!!
Thought we'd cover all bases on DTD as we were on honeymoon and enjoying this TTC lark!
How's everyone else on here doing? Any successes so far?

I think we have 1 bfp on here, but there should be a few testing soon. I'm smack in the middle of my cycle and waiting for ov, so got a while yet before I know if we've done enough this cycle.

Indeed, haha. H had to go abroad for a meeting yesterday, and I wouldn't let him stay overnight, he had to get the eurostar home last night as he had 'other obligations.' Grin

I'm still in 2ww! Dpo 11 today. BFN's so far. A little spotting two days ago. Horrendous headache kicked in yesterday....still there. Looking at last months chart this happened before AF then too. Just waiting now for it to arrive, so we can move onto the next cycle!

My temp raised again today so think Ill have to wait a couple more days before AF arrives.

How's everyone doing? Anone due to POAS soon?

Everythinginminiature I also came off pill in aug, but just the last week. So I'm hoping I can work out my cycles soon, whilst secretly hoping I get BFP straight away Wink

If I guess a 28 day cycle (and I think I used to be pretty regular) then AF or BFP will be due 29th September. I keep telling myself I won't poas till it gets to mid-oct in case I'm not even ovulating etc. but I keep thinking about wanting to test at the end of the month?! First month trying. What would you ladies do?

Hi all...how's everyone's doing? I lost the feed for this topic and just wasn't able to get back on it!

MrsS17 I had delayed honeymoon to but only 6 months so know how u felt!

Has everyone tested for Sept yet? I cheated and tests 5 days ago as been getting oddly spotty! Was negative but period was actually due today...got up 5am lol morning pee is best....and..BFP!!!!!!! Line was faint but has gotten darker as times passed! Made dr appoint for tomorrow... Wonder how far I am because my cycle was so messed up so we had literally been baby dancing every day! Smile happy but hope all goes ok this time! Trying not to get anxious or over think now! Trying not to get too excited to as its obviously v v early stages still and anything could happen.

Good luck to you all and seriously don't give up because I had some really low low days esp as want over the m/c but its happened now so all is not lost if get negative tests - I've had my fair share!

Can I ask - sorry if TMI - what your spotting was like and how long it lasted?

I'm due Sunday. I had spotting dpo 9 and today (dpo 11). On the first day it seemed to last less than an hour was dark brown and very little amount of liquid.
Today has been even darker brown (almost black) and is crumbly. (Gross sorry). It doesn't seem to be continuous, I just found a few "bits"earlier.

No idea if this is "normal" spotting, as Ive never had it before my AF normal starts heavy quite quickly usually overnight, or whether it is implantation possibly (though I think I am clutching at straws). I've had a variety of symptoms this past week - so Im too sure if Im wishing myself sick/pregnant, or whether this might be it!

Thanks duescat, well officially started trying 2 months ago and have been using pregnacare 3-4 months prior to trying. It doesn't sound like we have been trying long but...

I had a miscarriage December last year at 10 weeks (got married in jan to so was c hard) my cycle has been all over the place since. My period would always be late even when we weren't trying so obviously got excited and then it would come!

Keep looking at test, lines quite dark now. Have to call up tomorrow for appointment.

I know a few people on this feed also had were testing last week and this week...any more news?

Recommend literally ever day baby making of its possible with work an life commitments! Lol I took tr Dr advise for 2-3 time a week and trebled it!

I haven't had had spotting jaykay...AF was due today but literally I woke up to test as I know sounds silly but I don't really get spots but the bad been popping up all over last 2 weeks and I had v Sharp quick pains on my right side yday...

Last month I had similar spotting when period was due, and then when took out tampax it was v v dark old blood and I thought the same implantation bleeding but tests were negative and did 5-6 test over 4 days! My period came 17 days later...hope that doesn't upset u cos I know I was clutching to straws to...thinking ooo I feel sicky, am I extra tired so it is possible to trick yourself into thinking u are seeing symptoms.

How many times a week had you been doing the deed? Do you think you and hubby managed to do it near ov time? Your old bleeding sounds alot more like impl bleeding then mine did last month..FX for this Sunday testing!

I'm only just into the 2ww from today. Dangerously already checked my due date if this is the month - 5 June, 3 days before my 30th birthday! We DTD on CD8, 9, 11, 13, 14, 16, though I think I was at my peak yesterday on CD15 :(

Why the sad face wispa? If you did I on cd15, you've dtd three times in your five day fertile window. I could only aspire to so much dtd!

Yes I use opks and temp. We definitely dtd within the fertile window. My temps are still high. S I'm not out yet. Tough think its just a matter of time. Hoping Im not late, as Im already on cd32. So if AF is coming, Id rather it came as soon as possible so we can get onto the next cycle! Having long cycles is such an arse. I seem to have to wait forever between AF coming and fertile times!

ahh, I know we've done really well this month, far better than in the previous 3, so I'm feeling optimistic, but last night H wasn't 'up' to the task and I got fairly bummed out about it and quite emotional and what-did-i-do-wrong-y, when rationally I know it's just because he's tired, the poor guy!

Oh wispa I know exactly what u are talking about! I was always like come on let's go baby dance time lol and hubby a attest twice was too tired or feeling unwell lol I was fuming and sooo emotional! But yeah they human and just tired lol!

Long cycles SUCK jaykay..my one last month was 50 days!
I'm going to ask for early scans I think! Just want it to go ok this time!!

Congrats B1985! Fantastic news super pleased for you!

I know what you mean Wispa, I hate when my husband travels as he is usually exhausted by the time he returns home and usually means no baby dancing. Hate missed opportunities especially around my ovulating days!

AF is due mid next week so if no signs will test on Friday.
