Ttc after an early miscarriage, any advice appreciated

hi everyone, my husband and I were delighted we'd conceived baby #3 3 months after having my mirena removed. Unfortunately I miscarried at around 6 weeks, my bleeding started on 6th July and ended on 15th July, my hcg levels never got above 143 so they left my system pretty quick, by the 18th I was having bfn at the drs. I wondered when should I expect my AF? before the mc I was always 28 days bang on! I have had no symptoms for AF, although I have had really bad heartburn for 4 days, this was my first symptom last time too, so could I be pregnant? I'm useless at working out dates and cycles and ovulation etc..... we bd'd on 15th July and have been pretty consistently b'ding every other night since then with the exception of a couple of days. when should a test show bfp given all these dates? thanks for taking the time to read, hope someone has some advice for me x

Caved in & just popped to Sainsburys for tests, pregnacare & ice-cream. Glad I did now!

hey :) nothing new to report here, how's everyone else? those who are in the 2ww when is testing day? mine is the 13th....friday the 13th :/ if I wait until day AF is due anyway!!

Hey MrsA, Im CD25, due AF Monday 9th if all going to normal cycle. However today Ive been feeling really crampy like af coming, and boobs really tingly/sore but leaky (never had this before)...whats that about.

greeneone12 I will be the same, a few people know about my pregnancy/subsequent mc in Feb, my sister/close friend and Im a childminder so the day I started bleeding I had mums calling to drop of their kids and I was in floods of tears so I had to tell them why and that I cldnt work. My 2nd mc was in August during the holidays so I wasnt working. I havent even told my sister about it. I just cant bear talking about it. So I know I will be so scared when (being positive) I get pg again to tell anyone. fingers crossed.

Oh Leons I really hope they are early pregnancy signs. I am so very sorry you had to go through that twice. Can't imagine how hard it must have been through August, did you have DP for support?

The last 3 Augusts have been crap for us - last year i somehow managed to get pneumonia and it was my 30th!

I had an early scan at 6 weeks this time in June and actually heard the heartbeat. We told everyone after that as we thought everything was fine. When I went for my 12 week scan and found it has stopped growing we were told it measured 6+4 so it literally happened days after that scan :(

Lesson learned though. Really wont tell anyone (apart from maybe you ladies) if there is a next time!

I know what you mean! I'm going to force myself to keep quiet until the 12 wks are up, purely because I told my other children age 12 and 9 who, after the initial shock and disgust (they have sex ed at school and know how things are done haha) they were extrememly happy and excited and even had suggested names etc....the morning after telling them, I woke up bleeding :(

symptoms today are- sore armpits :/ sore bone(?) behind left ear, cramps, heartburn to the point of being scared in case I burped cos I'd end up with a mouth full of acid, been freezing all day and napping on and off while kids were at school, amd tonight I came to bed to watch tele at 8.30pm when the kids went to their rooms, next thing I know I'm waking up at 10pm!! feel drained and exhausted and achy! hope it subsides for me starting uni again on 16th!

oh i would love them to be early pg signs, like MrsA I too am very tired, could easily have had a nap mid afternoon last few days, and in fact today, cos my dp was home, and only had our kids, I got into bed at 5 for a nap (and to watch repeat of Downton Abbey). If AF does come Im dying my hair (its so grey at the moment, but dont want to use dye just in case>>) and Im going out for a few drinks (not just having a few at home...Im going to the pub). Cramps have eased, just still have that feeling that af is coming, but my boobs are just soo tingly/sore, Im really aware of them if u know what I mean...Well Im sure I will know in the am, as I normally get my period full on in the morning. Fingers crossed I dont.

When / if I get preggers again will tell a few people who I wud tell if we lost it anyway, but otherwise defo keeping to ourselves.

Hiya ladies .. Sorry so long and WOW I missed big congrats mrsrv wow !!!! Bet ur chuffed gives us all a little hope, I gave up on opks and 12days dpo day 28 cd I've been soo moody dp and me just passing as working 13 hrs a day don't think this is my time ....expecting AF today or Monday.

I was being good in 2ww but after AF arrived DH and I had a night out together last Friday. It was so nice to just be us and have a good time. We did talk abt mc at the end of the night, but thats ok. Maybe go on a bit of a date night greeneone, might be just what you need.

Hi positive! I'm ok thanks, CD10 today so started using opks. Negative this morning but thats expected this early. I quite enjoy doing something towards getting my bfp though iykwim.

hi, been busy on here this morning hasn't it

I'm still achy under armpits, don't know what that's all about! crampy amd absolutely exhausted! no energy to do anything! sneezing and headaches too.

oh and I'm studying social work at uni, you see I left school at 15- just didn't like it...stupid I know! so I left with no qualifications, didn't sit any exams at all. In 2009 when I was 25 I decided to get my gcses in maths and English, I went to night classes, then a year at college doing an access course. followed by a year at uni studying Early Years and Disability Studies...then started social work in sept 2012 but had to defer in jan 2013 as my daughter had spinal surgery to correct her scoliosis and I fell below the attendance limit to go into year 2, so here I am waiting to start yr1 of social work all over again! haha

Still af free today, I did a have dark brown discharge when I wiped earlier today, but nothing since. Boobs are still tingly and have that heavier feeling. Still only on day 26. oh this wait is killing me.
