hi everyone, my husband and I were delighted we'd conceived baby #3 3 months after having my mirena removed. Unfortunately I miscarried at around 6 weeks, my bleeding started on 6th July and ended on 15th July, my hcg levels never got above 143 so they left my system pretty quick, by the 18th I was having bfn at the drs. I wondered when should I expect my AF? before the mc I was always 28 days bang on! I have had no symptoms for AF, although I have had really bad heartburn for 4 days, this was my first symptom last time too, so could I be pregnant? I'm useless at working out dates and cycles and ovulation etc..... we bd'd on 15th July and have been pretty consistently b'ding every other night since then with the exception of a couple of days. when should a test show bfp given all these dates? thanks for taking the time to read, hope someone has some advice for me x

Hello, how has everyone's Monday been then? Not much to report here other than I am obviously taking every tiny twinge as a sign I'm pregnant! Only 2-3 dpo so really don't think I would have any symptoms at all yet, but keeping myself amused at least Grin

Have you had that MRI scan yet MrsA?

Greeneone are you in the 2ww now as well?

MrsAnderson22 · 16/09/2013 19:48

nope no scan yet :/ getting frustrated now! want to be home with my little family :( still in pain and drooping.

still no sign of AF yet either, that's another concern cos like I said I'm NEVER late, but ovulating later than expected has me wondering when LATE is :/ what would you ladies think? 3 days late for ovulation = 3 days late for AF? That would mean I was due on today.

xx

MrsA, sometimes your cycle can be interrupted or affected by illness & things. Your body stops doing the "non-essentials" in order to concentrate on more important things. Just a thought!?!

I can't imagine how fed up you must be feeling. Have they told you why you haven't had a scan yet & do they suspect what it might be?

MrsAnderson22 · 16/09/2013 21:26

yh that's what I'm thinking, but obviously still keeping my fingers crossed. I am sleeping with a pad on tonight, just incase! They've spoke about a mini stroke, bell's palsy, lyme disease, and a neurological disorder which needs to be investigated more :/ or a simple virus! xx

MrsRV · 16/09/2013 21:44

It's really is rather shit MrsA. Hope u have a reasonable night & keep us posted.

rb30 · 16/09/2013 22:47

MrsA I hope you get better soon. Touch wood it's none that you named. If you advent started af yet I would high recommend you asking hospital to do pregnancy test before any further treatment. Just to make sure you're ok. Keeping my fingers crossed for you. Xxx

cheesysmile · 16/09/2013 22:48

MrsA that does proper suck Sad Can't believe you have to stay there another night. Hopefully they give you some answers soon as must be really worrying for you. Keeping my FX for you in terms of a bfp but focus on getting you better first Flowers

rb30 · 16/09/2013 22:48

Advent was meant to be haven't

cheesysmile · 16/09/2013 23:15

Hi rb haven't heard from you for a while, how you doing?

rb30 · 16/09/2013 23:23

Hi cheesy. I hope you're good. Hows baby making going? i havent caught properly. just saw mrsA post and was worried so responded. positive did you go see mike gorman? how is everyone else? Been busy at work. Got my af, finished last week. Went for private scan today because wanted some answers, was told that I have pcos and a polyp in my womb. So I struggle conceiving and when I do I risk miscarriage cos of polyp. Didn't know what a polyp was until today. Was really peeved with hospital I was at during last pregnancy cos they never took the cysts seriously. Likely that I'll need fertility treatment but will need polyp removed first. Have you heard about this before and do you know of any success stories?

Positivementakattitude · 17/09/2013 00:58

greeneone12 · 17/09/2013 10:31

Morning all

I am in 2ww cheesy but really I am already counting myself out for this month as we just didn't do it enough.

We are trying to buy a house too so actually it's good I have some distraction!

Oh MrsA I would be creating a lot of noise to get a blood test. It can't be that hard can it?! I really feel for you and hope it does turn out to be a viral thing.

Nice to meet you rb30

MrsAnderson22 · 17/09/2013 10:55

I have asked again for a blood test as they have taken blood from me every day for the past 4 days, how hard can it be to test for hcg when they already have the blood? anyway dr just been to me and said they don't think they can do the test today either as they have too many emergencies! so sick! my little boy is off school with sickness and I'm not there for a cuddle, I'm so upset! anyway dr said I can go home and wait for an appointment to come for my mri! so I've basically been in hospital since saturday for no reason!

still no AF either....

I'm going home to see my DH and not so little ones :D xx

greeneone12 · 17/09/2013 13:16

What a shambles :( Thank goodness you can see your babies and have cuddles with them. I am sorry you have been let down like this by the hospital. Bloody annoying! xx

cheesysmile · 17/09/2013 18:47

OMG MrsA I can't believe how incompetent the hospital are being. So they've had you in hospital where you basically get no rest and feel lonely and haven't done a dam thing. I know emergencies have to take priority but still seems really poor care to me. Sorry ... rant over, I just know how upset I wud be if it was me in ur shoes.

rb will let you know in a couple wks how the baby makings going Wink but im ever hopeful! I'm afraid I nothing about pcos or polyp. Hope ur ok, is there stuff that can be done to help you? Tbh I don't even know what polyp is Blush

Greeneone don't count yourself out yet, you never know. Also I think we may actually be the same person as im in process of buying a house too! Goodluck, hope you've found / find somewhere nice.

rb30 · 17/09/2013 22:54

MrsA how are you? Is it ok now? Is what happened stress related? Thinking of you, and hoping you make a speedy recovery
Positive hope office move goes well. I mentioned it to mike that you might see him. He is awesome.
Green one ditto. Hope you're well.
Cheesy I didn't know was a polyp was Until I read about it last night and scared myself... Fingers crossed its all ok. And glad you're staying positive.

Baby making becomes an obsession doesn't it especially when you want it this bad and it doesn't happen as quick as you want it to...sigh.......

Night all xxxxx

MrsAnderson22 · 18/09/2013 12:17

The witch got me this morning, in a way I'm disappointed but at the same time I'm ok with it cos I can start taking more effective pain relief, and we get to 'try' again ;)

MrsAnderson22 · 18/09/2013 12:18

Leons · 18/09/2013 15:20

MrsA sorry to hear af arrived but as u say u can now take proper pain relief, good the mri was clear, I'm sure u feel like u can move on now.

Cheesy and greenone fingers crossed for u both. Looking forward to hearing ur various symtom spotting, despite ur efforts not to I'm sure.
Rb30 fraid I haven't experience of polyps or any advice to offer. I'm sure there are a few mumsnetters who may be able to help.
MrRV. How are u? Hope u are full of symtoms and having a trouble free time of it.
I'm on CD10, and successful pgs occurred when dtd CD10, 12, 14 so that's my plan for next few days. I have been spotting since yesterday though, red and lightly. Not sure what that's about. I have an ache in my right side which is usual ov sign for me, just started today and normally lasts a few days. I don't use opks. But if bfp doesn't arrive on Oct 6, I plan to start using them. So here's hoping I don't get to use them. X

Leons · 18/09/2013 15:23

Oops Positive sorry, sorry to hear ur af got u. X

cheesysmile · 18/09/2013 21:55

I'm glad you got your scan MrsA and it was clear. I hope the pain relief helps and you start to feel better soon. Sorry AF got you, but stay positive and like you say you can try again now.

Hope you get your timings right Leons and have no need for those OPKs Smile

OK so I know I shouldn't but I can't help symptom spotting - I'm only 4-5dpo, but .... I'm sure I have quite a dry mouth and been having mild tummy cramps, plus had to go to the loo at 5am this morning ... although if I wasn't ttc I bet I wouldn't even notice Hmm I really just have to wait I know ... I hate waiting!!!

greeneone12 · 19/09/2013 15:16

Hello All

It's all gone a bit crazy my end as we are in the throws of buying a house. Have had an offer agreed and now filling out various bits of paperwork and getting bank statements sorted etc. It's such a headache!

MrsA I know it's not the news you wanted but thank goodness the wait is over. Get those drugs in quick! Leons that is strange with the spotting. Have you thought about speaking to your doctor?

We are CD20 but to be honest this house stuff is helping to keep my mind busy. I have, however, had some very real cramps but as we know that can be caused by anything. To be honest if we buy this house we would really struggle to pay childcare for number two so if I haven't fallen this month then DP and I need to have a serious conversation Sad

Oh life!! According to my App I can do a urine test on Sunday so might just do that. I need a huge drink to try and calm myself and might go all out if I don't get a BFP. I know it only takes once but if, by some sort of magic we are pregnant then it will be a real shock.

Deciding to buy is really causing me alot of anxiety as currently we live with my Dad. We do have the option to stay there and save for as long as we want....but if we do the property market might move quicker than we can catch it, if that makes sense.

We are trying to buy new build which is affordable right now but I would be scared for future interest rate rises which would cause real problems. If anyone fancies a break from talking about baby making to give me any pearls of wisdowm about home ownership then please go ahead!

Sorry that was a massive post in the end :)

cheesysmile · 19/09/2013 19:05

Hi Greeneone! Isn't Sunday a bit early to test? If you're due 28th that's a full week early so I wouldn't think you could trust a negative at that point? I'm hoping to hold out and not test until at least next Friday, Saturday if I'm good. If you really want a drink, I'm sure you could have a glass of wine anyway ... just not a bottle! Grin

We're in the process of sorting the mortgage etc as well, but its not our first house so probably a little less daunting. I think the only pearl of wisdom I would really offer is don't go for something that you can't really afford and over stretch yourselves. After a couple of months you will be over the initial 'nice new house' and be fed up because you have no money to do anything you enjoy. That's what I would be like anyway.

Also have you looked into any of the government schemes available on new build houses, I'm not sure whats on offer myself but might be worth looking into to maybe.

Good luck whatever you do, it can be stressful, but it should also be exciting. Personally I'm not looking forward to the actual moving bit, I hate packing!

Oh also in terms of future interest rate rises have you looked at getting a fixed rate mortgage to safeguard you at least for a few years if that would make you feel more secure? If you're worried talk to your mortgage adviser.

I'm no expert, but hope that helps a bit, it can be so confusing and so much to think about.

MrsRV · 19/09/2013 19:15

Green one I'm a conveyancer. Have a look at the new build help to buy schemes. It's basically a second mortgage & usually 20% of the purchase price. No repayments for 5 years then a relatively low fee. Ask the site office if they are running the scheme. If u need any help give me a shout x

Everyone else, HELLO!

Sorry to those of you gotten by AF. MrsA glad you've got some news, the not knowing is the worst!

Someone said hope I'm full of symptoms! Grin No sickness yet thank goodness. Mega sore boobs, backache, cramps & pulling muscles in tummy after sudden movements. I have this overwhelming feeling its twins. It's really strange. And really fucking scary!!!!!

greeneone12 · 19/09/2013 20:35

That's what we are doing. Help to Buy :) I am just worried we are overstretching ourselves. Do you think £600 left after bills, petrol, food etc is ok to live off per month with a little one?

I do think Sunday is early for testing but app said it should be ok. Might try and wait....if I can.

MrsRV are there any companies we should steer clear of? Weird you have that feeling it's two in there!! Have you got a scan date yet?
