Ladies, some advice if you please - I've been using these opk sticks since cd10 (now on cd20), and haven't had a positive in all that time. Usual cycles vary from 30-32 days. So obviously I'm now freaking out slightly concerned I'm not ovulating at all, and wrongly blaming the lack of bun-in-the-ovenness on my living circumstances.

are you using the cheapy internet ones nurse ? Some people have said they don't work for them, I never see a really dark line on them but I do see a variation over a few days that gets (just about) to the same darkness as the control line. What time of day are you using them? And do you avoid weeing for a few hours beforehand?

Like Beedle said I've heard people say the cheap ones don't always work. You need to test in the afternoon and you need to not go to the loo for a few hours before. Are you getting a line at all? I would get lines on them but they never went as dark as the control line.

I then started using CBFM which I think was pretty accurate for me (after 3 years ttc i just knew when i was ovulating!) but obviously I've never got a BFP.

No news from me Boo, I next here from the embryologist tomorrow. It feels ages away. I keep praying my embryos are dividing nicely

Nurse I always used the cheapies and they worked well for me, I used the 2nd wee of the day but perhaps try the expensive smiley face ones instead. Do you get any other ov signs?

Cheapo t'internet ones indeedy, but have been using fmu - schoolboy error. I did a couple in the afternoon (while mr nurse was here when i was hoping for a sign to go at it).

Have only had the control line cups. Nowt else.

Think I've missed it this month. Try again next month of an afternoon. If that doesn't work, I'll try some fancy pants ones.

As for ov signs solars, I've given up. Tried recording them, but it was always so variable that I gave up. I also gave up on temping. Oft. And as much as I want a bfp, I can't get amongst monitoring cm. Give me a while longer though, and I'll be monitoring everything including the lunar cycle.

Nurse, if I'm honest, the easiest thing to do is go see your GP. At you've been trying over a year (always good to exaggerate) and say you're worried about ovulation. Then they'll write you up for 2 blood tests, then you'll know. On sticks are very unpredictable.

Well youve obviously all been brooking your socks off today!!!! Day went great! Nurse was lovely and didn't mind me asking and silly questions! So I should basically start tues of week after next! I have 3 cycles of iui on consecutive months. If they fail I go strait to ivf with no waiting lists! Finally feel positive for the first time in ages!
