Hi everyone

cups it's great news about your BFP. You going to test again in a few days. Brooking that the spotting goes away soon.

Fox I've thought about you lots during thread, I kept wondering where you had went to. Brooking lots for you to.

Hi guys, thanks for all your well wishes. So....after 2 1/4 years might finally have a reason for my infertility. My dildocam shows I have multi cystic ovaries (not polycystic) and thought it doesn't necessarily mean one is infertile it could be still affecting my ovulation. Also, people with mco are more likely to overstim with clomid (which I did). I always thought I ov'd fine but apparently my prog on my first day 21 test was too low (contrary to what my gp said!).

So, they've stopped my clomid altogether and put me on daily injections of menopur instead.

Finally have some sort of answer but a little annoyed that they've only just found out, despite me asking for a dildocam before and being told no. I knew I needed one. Just wish I'd trusted my intuition and not the FC!

NoMaybeAboutIt · 14/08/2013 20:45

Kitty that's great you got some answers. When is your IUI planned for?

NoCupcakesOrCocktails · 14/08/2013 20:51

Kitty it's fab that you finally have some answers. It's so annoying you've had to wait so long for a simple diagnosis. Grrr.

Sounds like its all happening! It won't be long until your BFP now!!! Smile

OP posts:
BlindKitty · 14/08/2013 21:07

Cups the annoying thing is this really is a 'simple' diagnosis (assuming there's nothing else wrong).

maybe I started the menopur today, with have daily injections until next scan on wed. Then insemination possibly Friday.

just googled it and apparently with the menopur injections I'm having there is a 60-70% pregnancy success. That's not including me having iui (i.e putting the best swimmers in at the right time). Suddenly actually feeling more positive

NoMaybeAboutIt · 14/08/2013 21:31

That's great news Kitty!!

EverythingIsTicketyBoo · 14/08/2013 22:00

Ooh Kitty that's sounds brilliant, so pleased you have a diagnosis, such a shame you have had to wait so long though.

Evening all, how's it all going over here then?

keepitgoing · 14/08/2013 22:08

kitty where did you read those rates? I think its more like 20% and don't want you to put too much pressure on this cycle. 60-70% would be higher than an ivf cycle. But of course, you're a brooker so normal rules don't apply. I'm annoyed for you its taken this long for some sort of diagnosis. Hope this x is the only issue!

Fox82 · 14/08/2013 22:26

kitty that's great you got some answers, and those stats sound bloody amazing! Brooking for you that everything will fall into place now you know what's going on.

Great news for you too beedles! And so pleased for you cups - so exciting!!

Thank you for thinking of me, that's so sweet. I'm getting a bit fed up with ttc I guess. I was so upset when AF arrived last month, but not really sure why as I've been quite level headed about it up until then. I suppose as time goes on it feels like it'll never happen, although I realise plenty of ladies on here tried for much longer. I'm sure it'll just be a matter of time Smile

I got positive opk's on CD 13 and 14 this month, so hopefully by dtd on 13, 14 and 15 was enough, but can't help thinking we should've started sooner.

So glad there's lots of good news on this thread at the moment! I keep up with all your news every day even if I don't post, so don't think I've left you if you don't hear from me Smile

BlindKitty · 14/08/2013 22:27

keep iui rates are only 15%. I was reading something specifically about multi cystic ovaries and being treated with menopur was potentially 60%. There's potentially nothing wrong with me other than my eggs don't mature so fx the menopur will sort it. The article actually suggests not going for ivf until this has been tried for 6 months even though I've potentially got a cycles if these next 3 iuis don't work

GenericDietCola · 15/08/2013 08:56

Kitty, that's fab news!

Cups, how are you today?

Beedle, that's brill for you too!

keepitgoing · 15/08/2013 08:57

cups are you ok? Any more testing or spotting?

ThedementedPenguin · 15/08/2013 09:08

kitty that's great news, it's a shame they didn't do the test earlier but at least now you know and are on the right stuff.

How's everyone else doing?

How are you cups?

BeedlesPineNeedles · 15/08/2013 09:49

kitty how annoying that they didn't do the right tests earlier, but now you're on the right track your BFP can't be far away.

cups how is everything with you today?

Nice to see you gen

NoCupcakesOrCocktails · 15/08/2013 10:01

Morning I've continued to bleed and tbh it's more pink/red than brown so I'm quite concerned. I did a clearblue which gave me a 1-2 weeks pregnant. I've spoken to the clinic who have said I just have to wait and test on Monday. The nurse was really nice, she agreed it won't be a false positive. She told me to start putting the progesterone in the back rather than the front. Ive spoken to work and they have told me to stay off for the rest of the week. I've also been to my GP and got requests to have a beta done at my local hospital. I don't know if its a good idea having the blood test as its just one more thing to mental over but DH is quite keen. I think he doesn't trust pee sticks. I'm trying to keep positive.

TheLittleFriend · 15/08/2013 10:16

Cups, I am brooking super speed that the bleeding is implantation. Today you are pregnant, which is a good thing. It must be so stressful for you, but well done for getting the clinic and gp informed so you can get answers and advice from them.

BeedlesPineNeedles · 15/08/2013 10:26

Oh cups why can't it be just a bit easier? I hope the blood tests will help you both, will they do two so you can see if the levels are rising? ((hugs)) for you both. I'm brooking so hard that this works for you.

Solars · 15/08/2013 10:39

Cups I'm brooking like anything. I was going to ask where the progesterone was going, it can irritate the cervix but also the spotting coud also be breakthrough stuff. I'm so glad you've spoken to the clinic and your gp. But you are pg, yay!!

keepitgoing · 15/08/2013 10:56

Oh cups it's a great sign that you've got a digi to agree. I think you're now 16dpo? From reading mn chemical pregs don't last that long. When are you doing the blood tests. What a total headfuck, we are here to hold your hand. Today you are pregnant.

Glad you're staying off work. Do not just Google things.....

EverythingIsTicketyBoo · 15/08/2013 10:57

Oh Cups brooking like a crazy for you. I'm glad you have called the clinic and got some advice.
